Hi, I recently downloaded Macromedia Flash 8 and have been messing around with animating stick figures. So far it's been pretty fun however, I'm still a newbie and there are lots of things I still need to learn how to do.
One of these things is that I need to create an outline of the stage area. By that, I mean, a dotted line around the area that the audiences sees. I know that cntl+shft+w removes the workspace, and that's what I've been using so far. However, from Youtube tutorials I've seen I know there is a way to outline the area of the stage, I just don't know how to do it yet.
Other than that, I really love this program so far and I'm thinking of learning actionscript. I have to some really cool Starcraft themed ideas I'm going to animate in the future as well. But if anybody could tell me how to outline the stage area I would really appreciate it.

is bloody hard to beat.
![[image loading]](http://thefairpole.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/mike-tyson-punch-out.jpg)
Two days ago I went to a party where there was a Wii and I played a bit of the new Punchout game. It was a pretty fun game that was surprisingly challenging. Every fighter had a different pattern you had to learn and most of them took me two or three tries to beat. After fiddling with it for 15 minutes, a friend of mine told me the Nes game was basically the same thing. So I downloaded the ROM, started playing, and sure enough its the same game. I've had a lot of fun playing against all the characters; Great Tiger, Bald Bull, Mr. Sandman, and Super Macho Man stood out as the most challenging and creative for me.
However none of the characters are anywhere near as evil and timing intensive as Mike Tyson. To the credit of the game designers, Mike Tyson would definitely be this ridiculous to take down in a real fight, as every punch he throws for the first 1 minute 30 seconds can knock you out. The thing is, there are no fancy ways to take him down unlike some of the other fighters, you just need perfect timing and execution, both of which I don't have.
But yeah, this game was surprisingly fun for an NES title. I love how something so simply can be so complex and difficult. One of these days I'm going to beat Iron Mike, but god it could take a while.

I've finally hit D+!
![[image loading]](http://i654.photobucket.com/albums/uu261/Athos90/D.jpg) http://www.iccup.com/gamingprofile/athos%5Bra%5D.html What makes my achievement different from any other noob? The amount of games it took me to get there.
After 150 games of struggling I've finally broken through the wall. A big reason why I suddenly got there is because 2 days ago I fixed my router so that I am now able to host games. Believe me, playing the map you want and getting the map of the week points make it much easier.
I still have a long way to go to improving my play. I'm still fucking terrible. But this seemingly impossibly high wall is broken, and I've realized that a lot of D+ people are just as bad as D players. :O
Also this is my 1000th post, yea!
Oh, I also want to thank Ret and LzGameR. Because of their streams I've been able to get a lot better

Yeah, I know, there have been a lot of them. However, I just finished Code Geass and I have some thoughts I need to share. If you've heard enough Code Geass BS please just don't read this. Here's what I thought.
Overall it was an entertaining but highly overrated series.
Things I liked: It's an action packed show that really moves fast. It also isn't afraid to kill off major characters and seems to enjoy doing so. Lelouch for the most part is a good protagonist, and without his Yagami Light tendencies he would be incredibly average. The Death Note moments are what makes the show fun; Lelouch always has a backup plan to kill everyone he meets.
Things I didn't like: The characters were all anime cliches and none of they had any real originality. There were a lot of moments when I felt that a character was completely unnecessary and had no point in the story.
Warning ending spoilers below:
+ Show Spoiler +
I also didn't like the way the series ended. The series should have ended around episode 21 of R2 and yet Lelouch decides to randomly take over the world in like one episode. For such a huge world changing move it happens so rapidly that it almost has no merit. After which, they completely switched up the allegiances of all the characters, and it's difficult to keep track of who's fighting who. Even more unsettling , is the question of why these characters would switch allegiances so suddenly. But Code Geass is a show that follows it's own logic, you have to roll with it or you'll be swept away.
They also did a poor job of describing the other world Lelouch's father so sought after, but I assume that it's exactly the same as every other Other World from every other anime.
Finally, they really should have done a better job of explaining C.C's background, It felt really underdeveloped and probably more important to the story than the anime showcased. I think this would be an area the manga would probably explain more in depth.
Oh, and the mech battles got really excessive, especially near the end of the show.
If all this seems like I'm nitpicking, it's because I am. Really, CG isn't that bad a show. It was entertaining and I was never bored the entire time. Just don't go in expecting a masterpiece.

I just got back from Washington D.C. after 4 exhausting days moderating people's caucuses. I was wondering if anybody on Teamliquid went to the conference or did Model U.N. at all? I had a blast because my committee SPQR- Senatus Populus Que Romanus - was composed of some of the chillest people I've ever delegated with. I definitely prefer smaller committees to the chaos of the general assemblies and we all had a hell of a good time.

For 65 bucks including 2 controllers, 2 memory cards, final fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, and Final Fantasy XII from my friend Lee (who wanted to make some quick cash).
However, I was wondering if there is any way to get my new (old lol) ps2 hooked up to my 19inch lcd digital display? (My family owns a television, but it is not located in my room, and since my house is small, I'm afraid that my family would be distracted by me gaming in the living room). Various internet sources have suggested two viable options; component cables or getting a tv-tuner for your PC. Since I don't have either option and since I am hesitant into jumping into something without prior experience, I was hoping that readers who have a similar setup would be able to suggest a product that would do the trick for me. Thanks, and I can't wait to play some Final Fantasy.

So I've been taking Spanish in school for the last 4 years now and it has dawned on me that I've never really been able to use the knowledge I've gained from the classroom in a practical setting. That's why I want to take my Spanish game to the next level by reading Spanish forums. Of course I could just google search foro but I don't know the quality of the forum I'm getting. So can any Spanish speakers make any recommendations for me?

So I have this take home test that I'm doing for my introduction to economics class. My teacher said that we were not allowed to ask anybody in the class for answers but she didn't say anything about the internet.
I'm really just stuck on question 1 of the free response.
Question:
1. Assume that a country's economy is operating at less than full employment. a) Draw a correctly labeled graph of aggregate demand and aggregate supply, and show each of the following.
i) long-run aggregate supply curve (ii0 Current output and price level
b) Assume that policy makers take no policy action and that prices and wages are flexible. Explain what will happen to each of the following.
i) short-run aggregate supply ii) Employment
C) Now assume that instead of taking no policy action, the government implements a special tax incentive to encourage individuals to increase saving for retirement. Draw a correctly labeled graph of the loanable funds market. Show how the real interest rate is affected.
D) Given your answer to part (c) explain how aggregate is affected in the long run.
Now that's a doosy of a question right? Normally I wouldn't post a topic like this on TL but I've seen quite a few topics like this all with excellent responses which makes me feel that Teamliquid is filled with giddy nerds ready to spring in to action at a moments notice. Also macroeconomics is a bitch and I hate it T_T.
