Any Law School Advice Welcomed

This is a follow-up to this blog:
http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?id=153211

I ended that blog post saying I'd update with admissions, so this is what I'm doing now. I got into a decent amount of schools, probably as a result of applying mostly to safeties. Some of those were UC Davis, UC Hastings, and Loyola. My only rejection was from USC, which was expected to be honest. I'll...

I'm taking the LSAT on October 9th and submitting my apps shortly after. I've been taking practice tests, but not under actual testing conditions. I've been doing 4 sections (no experimental) with ~1 minute break between each section. Now I want to take the practice tests under actual testing conditions, but I can't find the information for how to do that anywhere. Googling just give advertisem...

Recommend Pull-Up Bar

I'm looking for some pull-up bars. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking for the one that you drill into the door frame, but if you guys (who probably know better than I do) recommend the portable ones, then I'll consider it too.

Here are some I found on Amazon:

Played a nice 38 minute zvz

I just played this zvz on iccup (me C, him C+). Those who have read my previous blogs know how I play zvz. Although I swore to stop so I could improve my muta micro, I can't help but go for hydra/lurker/ensnare/plague every now and then.

Enjoy!

Data Recovery #2

From previous blog:

I thought I'd try to blog again since I'm getting extremely desperate. I have 5 personal statements that I can't open. This is what happens when I try to open one of the corrupted .doc files:

If I click yes, it tries to install the converter, but it can't since I don't have windows cd at the moment (at school). It eventually leads me here (same as if I had clicke...

Flash Drive Data Recovery?

What's the best way to recover data from a flash drive? I googled this, but I don't know how effective it is.

The flash drive was already kind of broken when I was using it. When plugged in, it would periodically disconnect from the computer. Then one time, a pop-up said I needed to format the flash drive in order to use it. I brought it to someone who formatted it and then used some recover...

Suggest Fun Strategies For Me

I just finished summer school and have about two weeks free until school starts again.

Following something Nony did a while ago, I want to try some fun strategies (or maybe even handicaps) out on iccup. For example, someone asked Nony to go goon/ob/mass dt. The idea was to snipe his opponent's obs so his dts could kill freely.

If you have ideas similar to that (but for zerg), feel free to...

D2 solo?

I've got some spare time and I'm itching to play d2 again. Anyone have any suggestions on a fun character I can solo with (at least until nightmare)? I haven't played in a long time but I played hammerdin the last time I played.

Any suggestions or a site with some good guides? Thanks.

Finally B on iCCup

It took 194 games, which is way more than a busy college student should be playing, but I finally reached B. With only one week left in the season, this looks like a good place to stop. Next season, my goal is to get better at muta micro so I can play conventional zvz. Since my muta micro is really bad, I've been using hydras in zvz or playing Terran instead to avoid the matchup altogether. But...

Fun iCCup Games

Here are three fun games I played on iCCup. (First game is D, last two games are C+)

Game 1 (zvp): I 5pooled, thinking I could get a quick advantage against an FE. It turned out he 2gated, so my 5pool did no damage. I was able to recover by making a hidden expansion and using a lot of guerilla tactics.

This has to be one of the most fun games I ever played. It's zvz. Opponent opens up with a 9pool/lair while I do 12hatch. I lose my natural, but an impulsive tactic turns the game around.

[H] Saving Video To My Computer

Anyway, I gave a plain one to my girlfriend to decorate for me some time ago and here is what she produced:

My SC History

It began when my brother got a burnt copy from our cousin. At the time, we only had one computer and no stable internet. I would just watch over his shoulders as he played through the campaigns. I was around 10 at the time and didn't think much of the game.

With our AOL, we would go on b.net every now and then. But being afraid to lose, I steered clear from melee, choosing UMS games instead....

Sweet! Archos 605

So I just bought an Archos 605 (4 gb version) and I'm extremely excited to try it out. It's coming on Tuesday. I was looking for a good video player and this seems to be the best around. Other considerations were one of the Cowons or iPod touch. The iPod Touch has such poor resolution, though. I ended up with the Archos because the Cowon is so expensive.

Hopefully 4 gb will be good enough si...

One of the main attractions of watching VODs for me is the suspense in not knowing who wins. I actually thought this was true for almost every SC fan, but it turns out that the opinions on this are quite mixed. Among other reasons, some people watch VODs primarily to learn strategies while others wish to be amazed by the flawless mechanics of progamers. For these people, knowing the winner befo...
