This was a very short game :[
I spawned at 7:00 as a purple Terran, and Atrioc spawned at 5:00 as a yellow zerg.
Just after this game, I learned that zergs enjoy 9pooling on Colosseum.

I ended up 1-2 TvZ x_x

But there's still hope for the TvP! Which I will do sometime next week, probably during the weekend. Manner Starcraft doesn't work out all that well :[

Second game of the day! I'm down 0-1, so I have to win the next two matches to come out positive. I spawn at the top of Destination as a tan Terran (ofc), and Atrioc spawns at the bottom as a purple Zerg.

I'm sad that last game's cheese didn't work out, so I decide to copy my friend's 8rax (which he stole from upmagic)

But he doesn't pull enough drones in time to kill the marines, so he tries to put up a creep

I manage to kill the creep and finish the bunker before the lings hatch

At this point I have <1 marine in my base. Yep.

Anyways, the bunker goes down, but I manage to get quite a few drone kills

I come out of this slightly ahead:

He takes a ling and checks the ramp, so I grab a nearby scv and attempt to block. A bit later his zergling-blob runs into my base

He scouts my wraith-cheese and tries to kill the port (instead of my scvs)

His zerglings are incompetent too

Just now, though, my vulture pop out

After sniping the lings, he heads straight down to kill some drones

But when he reaches the nat, he sees a total of 0 drones

I was slightly confused here

He tries to head straight up the ramp, but gets denied

He picks off one drone before two lings arrive

Zerglings don't counter vultures very well...

Back at my base, another vulture is finishing up...

I have no idea why I attached the machine shop before making the second one; I didn't tech any vulture-techs

My barracks resumes production of marines and I lay down another one a couple of seconds later

I have no idea why I addon'd the port early either, I only made 1 wraith and I never got cloak or anything

My wraith, however, meets no anti-air for quite a while...

That's 4 drone kills and 1 ovie kill. Revenge for the vulture~

I also forgot to change my rally when I made my science vessel

The bunkers were because I was scared of mutas. Kinda stupid of me, really, since I had a wraith-scout out...

At this point, though, I've massed up a decent-sized army

Once I reach his base, I abuse my irridiate and seige up in his base

Once again, he sets up for a flank

But I have enough marines to hold it off easily

He tries one more time, this time pulling drones to help. Since my army is mostly dead, I decide to irridiate my vessels while they sit on top of my marines. Pure genius, I know.

Does anyone know which match it was that NaDa (I think it was NaDa...) pulled scvs to kill lurkers? That was smexy

His lings come in shortly thereafter, but my blob manages to clean up his assault

My tanks have less range than normal ones, I swear

After the lurker is cleaned up, my scvs head back to mine

In case you haven't noticed, I forgot to lift my cc closer to the minerals x_x

My wraith notices a drone sitting at the zerg's 3rd

This wraith paid for itself many, many times over

And once again, he brings lurkers back to counter

Fine, they were almost-lurkers

But they get sniped as they morph

And once again I head towards his nat

Boxer-esque marine micro

I send my wraith to patrol his possible expo-spots

He never managed to snipe the annoying scouting ovie

At this point I can trade my vessels for scourge and come out ahead

Okay, maybe that was an excuse for sloppy micro

There isn't much he can do as I seige up in his nat, though, and he taps out

This blob finished off the bunker's job

GG! Tied at 1-1 (you could cheat and look at the results, but that would make you a cheater D:< )

BTW, I have quite a bit of homework to catch up on by Monday (I was lazy x_x), so part 3 might be kinda lame

Idea stolen from Grobyc :D

Anyways, this is the first game I played during the Racewars. It's a TvZ on Othello; I spawn at 7:00 as a red Terran (the best race ofc) and Atrioc spawns on 10:00 as a purple Zerg (they cheated to win racewars, I swear it...)

I scout him on my first try (I probably should've blocked his expo here):

NOPE! At this point I've decided that (since I don't know how good the Zerg is and because his build looks like a standard 3hatch muta) I'm going to cheese. I learned this build awhile ago. It's pretty simple: 1 rax fe, then build 3 more raxes, then get stim and kill the sunkens. Epic plan, gogo~

I copied this build from Ayumi. It's supposed to roll 3hatch mutas.

One slight problem:

I am not Boxer

That's right! I learned how to center text.
Anyways, this game is pretty dang fun. You control a little tower that shoots colored bullets (or lasers or whatever) at little white/black blocks and you collect colored shapes for experience:

That little x is my cursor. I don't miss D:<

Anyways, you shift between dimensions (there's only 2) with the space bar to hit darkened out blobs (it's explained better in the game), and once you collect enough shapes of one color, you level up:

The different colored background (white) means I'm in a different dimension from before

That reload+ means it leveled up my reload speed, not that I had to reload. Later on in the game (not that far later), new enemies appear and you get new colored shapes to collect for new weapons and powerups:

Okay, maybe I miss sometimes But hey, it's hard aiming when you're trying to take a decent screenshot

So yeah, go try it out. This game actually get pretty hard after a while (I always die when the ships come and snipe my turret T_T)

Side note: Photobucket is amazing
BTW, I MIGHT be do this for awhile, so if anyone has any suggestions for GOOD flash games, tell me and I'll post it sometime (if it's bad I'll just ignore you D:< )

Basically, in Frantic you run around with a little ship and shoot down other little ships that drop power-ups and money. The only real difference between Frantic and other shoot-em-ups is that the game is more simple and refined (none of those fancy-schmancy multi-colored powerups). Plus there are more bullets and explosions.

Anyways, after a minute or two, one of these guys appears:

They aren't as intense as those crazy Japanese arcade bosses (http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=68646), but they're still pretty fun.
Eventually, the boss pops, money spews out, and you're sent to a shop:

One problem with the game is that there's no real difficulty curve; if you have an easy time with level 1, level 10 basically the same thing, BUT the game is still fun as a mindless shoot-em-up.
A major problem, though, is the "adrenaline" system. I think this picture pretty much sums it up:

One shot = 1/3 of the boss's HP is gone. Just pretend it doesn't exist and never use it.

Other than that, the game is pretty addictive. Once you get the hang of it it's not really all that hard, but hey, it's fun blowing stuff up, right?

Don't know if this works for P or Z though

BTW, just tested this in a real game;
I spawned at 9:00, split to the rich minerals, got the slow minerals last:

9 depot (no wallin)
11 rax
12 gas
14 scout
15 depot
16 marine (!)
17 factory (at exactly 100 gas)

Normally I have to wait on the factory for ~5 seconds if I build a marine (and sometimes more if I 11/12)


I don't know what happens with buildings to speed up mining; anyone want to test it?

Basically, split all the SCVs first, then use the marine to hit the beacon. The minerals don't start going down until the marine hits the beacon. Wait 20 minutes, come back, and note the # of minerals on each patch in the replay (final values are +- 8 minerals)

BTW, TLPD is using Python 1.1 :[
