Only the greatest sport ever. Had a tournament on Saturday and we finished 7th which we considered a success.

L11-9 vs #1 seed, UMass
L13-12 vs #6 seed, Bryant
W13-4 vs #12 seed, NEC

5th place bracket
L11-9 vs Bryant

7th place match
W13-6 vs #2 seed, forgot who we played

I love ultimate with all my heart! <3 Unfortunately, I fucked up my knee towards the end of the second game. Poaching in the endzone and went for the all out d. Unfortunately, landed with all my weight on my right knee which ended my day. Now its all swollen and can't put too much weight on it.

Share your great ultimate stories. And not just casually playing disc. Legit ultimate. <3

I'm interested in purchasing a laptop cooling pad. I've done some searching online and found a few decent ones from GIGABYTE, Belkin, and Antec. Before I buy, I was curious as to what other TLers use and recommend as I trust you guys more than some of these sites ^_^ Any help is greatly appreciated. I use a Lenovo Z61m 17" laptop.

So I want some more new hardcore, metal influenced hardcore (I hate the term metalcore and refuse to use it), as well as 'deathcore' (again -_-). I'm interested in newer bands that have at most 2 full lengths out and are still together as I enjoy seeing bands I listen to live. I work 8 hours at night so I have a lot of time on my hands to listen to music. And I'm bored by a lot of it now and need new material =[

And for anyone interested in the same, a few I've come across are:

ABACCAB - Demo 06 (Full length coming out this year)
A Different Breed of Killer - I, Colossus
Cancer Bats - Hail Destroyer
This or the Apocalypse - Monuments
Stray from the Path - Villains
This is Hell - Misfortunes / Sundowning (I think Sundowning, their first release, is better)

Check them out here. I'll add in more later.

The first two are small for some reason but the rest are fine (except for one other). I don't know why. =[

Day 2 – Saturday, June 28th
Jaap and I woke up at 7:30, extremely excited for the day's events. We end up at the event at 9:00 and as we were press, did not have to wait in the extremely long line. Our first objective was to play StarCraft 2 and between the two of us that weekend, we played more than 100 games with himself primarily Zerg and myself experimenting with Protoss. After a few hours of StarCraft 2, we watched the new game announcement and while watching the trailer, the hair on my arms were standing straight up. Nothing like a Blizzard trailer to make a game seem so epic like they do with every trailer they've created in the past decade. We play so more StarCraft 2 until two more administrators from WGTour arrive – Roman (Error) and Seb (Baal), with CDS)Jump tagging along with Roman to the event. As Jump and Roman both worked for United Gaming TV, a Czech internet eSports TV channel, they interviewed me regarding StarCraft 2. We go out to eat, joined by Frida (Vilda) from GosuGamers. After some food, we all split up to watch the tournament (Mondi schooled by Sea) or play some StarCraft 2. We leave the venue at 9:30 and finally arrive at the TeamLiquid meet up that evening. WGTour made two cheerfuls for the foreigners, as they needed some loving as well which we presented. James made a video of Idra's presentation which can be found here: INSERT LINK. The night was a great one – finally meeting everyone behind their nicknames. Nothing like some great people and so much StarCraft 1 and 2 conversation. - almost as if everyone had been friends for years. People eventually leave throughout the night with the greatest of the days yet to come.

Day 3 – Sunday, June 29th
More StarCraft 2 gameplay, StarCraft 1 tournament, and StarCraft 2 showmatches. Unfortunately, the finals were a let down to many as Sea[Shield] lost in two games – 45 minutes was needed from start to finish for the finals. In Game 2 when Stork had all six of his arbiters ESPed and it looked as if Sea would push out for the win, 5-6 groups from Stork were waiting to crush the counter and win the match. G.s)Naruto and his 2v2 partner each defeated a Blizzard staff member in the 1v1 showmatch. The two then decided to win the StarCraft 1 2v2 tournament 2-1 as in all three games, both Zergs died first. Naruto led his team to victory and a sword worth $300 USD. The event closed at 9:00 so Haji and myself decided to get some food before heading to the afterparty at one of the hotels. At the kebab place, what a coincidence, but some TL members: James, Blake, Nyovne, Rage, XeoFreeStyler, and a few others. We all head over to the hotel where we meet Seb, Jaap, Joy (Meat), Trevor (Manifesto7), Chosi, and a few others with some beers and some nice conversation. Down comes numerous people including the infamous Xlord who while 16, looks as if he is 12, and drinks as if he is 8 yet no one saw him drinking once downstairs. Other guests include Christoph (Mondragon), Dreiven, Jonas (The1Crow), Elenore (Ore), and a whole bunch of WoW gamers. But the best was to come: Sean Oh (CJ Entus's coach), Ma Jae Yoon (Savior), Sea's coach, and Sea. The number of high fives I gave them each must be in the twenties. Sean Oh and I had a great talk as my Boston Red Sox hat came in handy. He too knew Boston and I told him my love for the Maestro. He leaves and comes back with 2 CJ uniforms that the Maestro himself had worn. The two men to get them: Haji and myself. We get a picture with the Maestro in them and throughout the night, the two progamers were hounded by everyone both sober and drunk. Thankfully, numerous pictures and videos were taken by both Seb and James. LINKS. Jaap and I finally leave sometime at night.

BWWI Through Dknight's Eyes
The BWWI was an amazing experience and if you had the opportunity to go but passed up on it, you really should be regretting the decision. Everything from playing StarCraft 2, to the TeamLiquid dinner, Diablo 3, and talking to various Blizzard's employees made this year's event much more better than even BlizzCon, which I had attended as well. First, I just want to thank Seb (WGT)Baal from TM) who acted as our 'tour' guide while in Paris. Our includes Blake (Chill), Haji (TheDeadHaji), and James (Kennigit) from Sunday to Wednesday. His help was just amazing and the trip was so much better because of him. Starting from Day 1 of the trip on Friday, this mini blog series will take you from when I had arrived until the day I left.

Day 1 – Friday, June 27th
Arriving nearly an hour late, I finally make it out of customs to meet up with a Blizzard representative who led me to the bus I, and other Blizzard employees and press, would be taking. One of only three white people, the bus was full of the Chinese press and Blizzard staff. I talked to a few, who spoke great English, about their experience with the company, why they work there, and everything else under the moon for the nearly two hour bus ride it took to get to the center of Paris. Unfortunately, they don't follow eSports but did know enough to point out Sky to me which immediately woke me up. They were surprised to find out I knew him but even if you don't follow WarCraft 3, which I do, this man was a two time WCG champion among numerous other tournaments. I get to my hotel, nap for a bit, and sleep as I got little due to the overnight flight. I met up with Jaap (Prayanavita) later that afternoon and we explored Paris together. We went out to dinner later with a few Blizzard employees including Karune, Alexander – a senior staff member of Blizzard Paris, and the man who organized the entire event among other people. The dinner was great and we all tried to guess the game – Diablo 3 was what most people thought but they refused to let anything slip. After some good food and wine, we all head back to our respective hotels or apartments for the next day's excitement. Unfortunately, Haji and I were unable to contact each other so meeting up with the TL staff that day was out of the question.

The future parts (hopefully the dates work out)
July 4th - Day 2/3
July 5th - Day 4/5
July 6th - SC2 Thoughts

So I'm going to do a blog here for each day that I'm in Paris. For those who don't know, I'm Dknight from WGTour ^_^. I did a few from BlizzCon and have some pictures up from there - most of the Korean pros I have incorrectly named and never bothered to fix it. This time I promise to do better!

So I'll be in Paris from Friday the 27th to Wednesday July 2nd. For all six days, I'll be with TeamLiquid folk including getting a room with Chill and Kennigit and maybe even HAJI! I'll be meeting Meat and Manifesto again (they went to BlizzCon) along with everyone else going.

I can't wait to go today. ^_^ I haven't even packed yet and my flight leaves Boston at 5:30 PM - I arrive Paris at 6:15 AM. I know Kennigit is coming at around 7 AM and then Haji around 1 PM so it should be a fun filled day getting to know how they really are. Now I must go sleep for a few hours and then pack before I leave. =D

SEE YOU IN PARISSSS ^__^
