So I went to the Korean Immigration Office yesterday to renew my Visa so I can take classes in Yonsei university
As people who travels to alot of Country knows, Immigration sucks ass. It is probably the most dreadful experience you can ever... Experience!
Anyways after waiting for 70 Nigerians/Americans/British/Chinese people in front of me, I saw alot of people fight with the Immigration officers.
Who the hell would want a job at immigration? You are constantly arguing with people who can't speak your language 24/7 and when you tell them 'No' they burst into tears, and then you have to go deal with a immigrant who can't speak not only your language, but any words for that matter because they're drowning in their own tears.
So can someone enlighten me why people take this job? Good pay? Kind hearted(???????) people?
If you get promoted do you become something better or what?
My favorite dish of alltime; Fish and Chips. Everyday in Korea I dream of eating a crisp Cod fried in beer batter golden shiny. With FRIES! OH FRIES...
Goddamn so good.
they don't sell these in Korea either wtb china express
This shit is called 더덕 (Duh-Duck). No, it is not made of ducks. They are actually herbal roots straight from Korea, and it tastes like BEEF.
Unfortunately it is more expensive than beef itself
Highly recommended to any vegetarians in TL
In America you have Buffalo wings with Beer. In Korea you have this sweet baby with Beer. Sweet, Spicy, and SO GOOOOOD
Most tourist say this is Korea's #1 food.
Pork BBQ! 삼겹살 (Sahm-Kyup-Sahl) is one of the greatest things they sell in Korea. 1 thick strip of pork will be around 6000 won to 9000 won in most places and this baby with lettuce + grilled onions + grilled garlic + some of that SAMZZANG makes anybody regardless of nationality (unless you aren't a pork eater) happy.
iirc Rekrul loves eating this shit with endless bottles of Soju at his side. If he likes this shit, well that means YOU BETTER TRY IT WHEN YOU GET HERE
This is far by the most rage inducing North Korean Traditional Cold Noodles (함흥냉면) ever created. There are many variations of cold noodles in Korea, but the North Korean version makes you ANGRY! The noodles are thin but it is unbreakable. You need to literally chew the noodles 10 times to break it so you can swallow your first mouthful, not to mention this is so spicy even normal Koreans have a hard time eating it.
BUT! IT IS SWEET AND SPICY! MY FAVORITE <3
If you are a spicy food nut I recommend this shit too.
This is a cat. No we do not eat them. Please stop asking this question
This is how we Koreans capture dogs so we can eat them. This strategy has been working for over 2000 years
So... My sister left her MacPro in Korea and she left weeks ago. I was originally going to give it to a friend of mine who goes to the same school as her, but he bailed out on me and now I have no choice to ship this laptop by mail.
So I was wondering if anyone with similar experiences with me help? I've never sent a computer overseas nor have anyone close to me who shipped one overseas (they all made their colleagues bring it to them if they left it in Korea).
I'm worried if the mac will be safe or not when it gets shipped. Also most importantly, the cost of sending a computer overseas.
I know this is a little weird to see a Blog start from Day 3, but at Day 1 I really thought it wasn't blogworthy so I just didn't make one.
So anyways... This is my 3rd day without any nicotine... I decided to quit because... Well I can't even run a mile properly now. My legs are fine but my lungs are just... Terrible now. I can't even swim properly. I've been smoking for 4 years now and I think it's a good time to quit.
First 2 days were alot easier than I thought but this 3rd day is killing me.
Being nicotine deprived is alot more painful than I thought. My temper is getting thinner each day and my tolerance for small things is getting lower and lower.
Looking at my posting history I see myself alot bitchier than usual...
Anyways before I blab on too long... Nicotine Withdrawal is probably the worst thing I've ever felt in my life, and I've even had Hernia surgery.
I'll update you guys every week from now D: wish me luck!
PS: If I'm really bitchy today... It means well I'm just angry
So yeah if you have read my previous thread, you would know that I was originally traveling to HANGKANG, but it turns out my girlfriend and I are going to be heading to Tokyo instead (OMGSORRY ALFFLA I VISIT NEXT TIEM).
So considering how TERRIBLE the economy is in Korea and how rich the japanese people are right now (DAMN YOUUUU), I was wondering how much money one should bring during a 2-4 day stay in japan? I am looking at $100 a day hotels right now on www.hotels.com, but then again I have no idea where it is exactly located (I checked the map but it does no good when I can't read japanese and I am totally oblivious to Japan).
Also, I don't understand a single bit of japanese except for a few Anime and Porn phrases. I have no idea how the japanese culture is, what they enjoy and what they speak.
So basically...
1) How does the Japanese Subway system work? A friend of mine said Transfering to other trains makes you pay alot more. 2) Japanese Cuisine? I love Sushi and the Japanese noodles but are there other things I should try out? 3) Do taxi drivers rip you off in Japan? I know for a fact all Asian Taxi drivers try to rip you off in everyway possible. 4) How useful is English in Japan? 5) Places I should visit? 6) Is 400 USD enough over a 4day period (excluding hotel)?
Answers to those questions would be mighty thankful guys!
ED: Added another question. Also can some mod fix title to "Traveling TO Tokyo"?
Well damn it's been a while since I saw this blue paved background. Or is it white?
So how have you been my dearest TL.net netizens? Me? Oh I've been doing fine. My disappearance might of been a shock to some of you guys or like most normal people you guys would've just assumed I left for good. But eh, I have been doing stuff.
I've been spending most of my time off working and interning. As much as I didn't want to leave the Progaming scene, I just had to because I needed to get some stuff straight (and the fact that I had very little time to actually watch). To ensure I don't slack off, instead of asking the mods to ban me, I just made a firewall to block every website related to progaming in general. Yeah it was tough at first but it is a hell lot more effective than disconnecting your internet.
So guess what tl, I finally met my Mary Jane! Who knew cheap JAVs and un-ending bottles of skin moisterizors would cease to exist in my life? What's funny is that she has a tattoo on the same location on her body (which is awkwardly awesome because, well mine is on an unlikely place).
Anyways, I've been outside the whole progaming thing for a while. The only time I actually got remotely close to progaming was when there was a HUGE commercial for the Jangbi vs Luxury final all over the MBC channels (yeah even the ones not related to progaming). So let me guess, Luxury won?
Some of you are wondering 'omg wai u ritin stuf' or 'omg u bak mrhoon?!?11!" well to be honest with you I still am busy and it will be unlikely for me to come back anytime soon because so much going on in my life right now.
So basically this is why I am here Anybody fucking know how goddamn travel visas work? I already spent my 1 year here but I might have to be here a little longer. However at june 14th I have to leave this country or I pay $100,000 to the gay government. Like I previously said I already spent my 1 year visa in korea so I can't renew that. So I decided to head for California to get my 3 months back.
So technically, if I stay in California for a week, then come back to korea, will I get my 90 fucking days? Or do I need to stay overseas for like a Month and over until I get my 90 days?
There are alot of people who travel to korea and out here so I wanted to ask you guys.
