I love french music. I love Alizee, i love Farmer, i love french rap, France is awesome.
I'm gonna post a very limited amount of youtube clips cos i feel like it!
As you can see half the clips are from Hunchback of Notre Dame, in fact its from someone who put up the entire opera on youtube. So i suggest you check it out, its awesome.
First off im sure everyone will be happy to know Carano did beat the scale-141 pounds on the button. Shes slimmer and sexier then ever. It took her 3 times and no clothes, but hey, she got there.
Not without adventures tho!
I do feel its odd that its the guys that hold the tower. Lucky them!
Shammy barely made it to HW with 206 pounds to Kimbos 234. As always with Kenny there was a show when he got into altercation with Kimbo.
Look at that hero in the middle! I'm sure hed take em both on if shit broke loose!
Arlovski, as always, a specimen, at 240. Heres a great GIF of him destroying Rothwell:
Ninja's gonna steal Radach's soul!:
Dont miss it. The TV broadcast portion will start at 9:00pm EST. I am not sure if undercard will be broadcasted on elitexc.com like it was last time.
The future starts off with Exite XC on CBS- a national network, a show which quiet possibly will set yet another record for most watched MMA event ever- in just 3 days.
And this time around, it is good.
The opener is Alexander Shlemenko(21-3) against Robert McDaniel(11-4). Both fighters are relatively unknown, but with a nice record and a Russian nationality stamp in passport, i will bet my house that Alex is an exciting fighter. McDaniel too, has some legitimacy to his name- as such he has a victory against Kala Hose, who if you remember has beat down Phil Baroni not too long ago. MMA math of sorts. This is probably not something newcomers to MMA will enjoy, but for us ol' folks sure a good fight to scout out new talent.
First of the two catfights is the next exciting match- its Yoko Takahashi(13-9) against Christiane Cyborg(5-1). Im not sure if Yoko Takahashi is the same Yoko that recorded tracks for Neo Genesis Evangelion, but dont let her record fool you. She is legit. She has fought were the competition is the toughest in women MMA- Japan of course. Cyborg on the other hand is quiet possibly the best female(?) MMA fighter on the planet.
Up next- Murilo Ninja Rua. Oh man, whenever anybody says "Hua" i just lose it! There was a thread on Teamliquid about who would you go gay for. And it my case its probably the Rua brothers. Guys just dont know how a fight can possibly be boring. Put them against Arlovski circa Tim Sylvia matches, they would still be able to make it exciting. His opponent - Benji Radach(18-4).
Gina Carano(6-0) starts off the main portion of the card against Kelly Kobald(16-2-1). Finally theyre throwing the moneymaking pretty face of Carano into the lions den. However i expect the greatest fight to be fought on Friday, when Carano will have to face off with the scales. Man is she hot for a chick who cant cut to 140! Mhmm!
Guess its the breasts that add the weight! Kelly Kobold: Cute: Nice guns, lady
Whats that? Whats that? Oh its the fight of the day! Its Andrei Arlovski(13-5-0) taking on Roy Nelson(13-2). Andrei is looking to solidify his image as exciting fighter, after dropping his boring counterpunching style. Besides rumor has it the winner of this match gets one of the Emelianenko bros on the next Affliction card(Alex-Andrei and Fedor-Josh would make most sense). Roy Nelson is a legit HW no doubt, but he already dropped a fight to Ben Rothwell who the Pitbull demolished in his last match in Wanderlei Silvaesque style.
Now Arlovski is apparently on a lend from Affliction, which has just signed a contract with GoldenBoy promotions. Quiet frankly, UFC are already in the dust. An CBS-EXC-Affliction-GoldenBoy collaboration? They would be more powerful then UFC even if they didnt have any fighters. Thats my opinion of course, and i will catch up on the rumors when ill write about the upcoming Affliction card, if i ever get to it.
Jake Shields vs Paul Daley(17-6-2). Jake Shield is awesome. Paul is not bad i guess. But give us fucking Fikkett, how long can we wait!
The main event will put a smile on anybodys face- its Kimbo Slice Ferguson against Ken Shamrock. Many MMA fans criticize this match and involvement of both this men in the sport, but i like it and i like the match up. I dont care about Kimbos ethics- he is a nice dude, very nice considering his upbringing, and the match up of internets most famous figher against Ken Shamrock with his greek-god physique and an ex-prowrestling background is bound to pull some fans.
Roids ofc, but still!
UFC 89: October 18th
First interesting match is David Baron(16-2) vs Jim Miller(11-1). The former is a Pride and Shooto fighter who has a victory over Hayato Sakurai(!!!). The latter just has a nice record and a win over Bart Palaszewski, whos in my opinion a gatekeeper to gatekeeper to being a decent lightweight. Not THAT exciting, but any man that beats Sakurai deserves a looksee in my book. David Baron vs Hayato Sakurai
The next notable match should excite all Pride fans- its Akihiro Gono(27-12-7), pure awesomeness impersonated. I have no idea whats wrong with UFC putting him on undercard, and i hope they will do anything and everything possible to allow him his trademark entrance. To the newcomers to MMA world- this man's record doesnt do him justice. He is definetely a force in the welterweight division. He has defeated Dream MW GP champion Gegard Mousasi and has went to 9 minute mark against Shogun before being soccer kicked to death. His opponent is Dan Hardy, completely unremarkable fighter.
Main card starts off with a couple of matches that fail to catch my interest but shifts into gear soon enough. Sokoudjou gets another rebound match before being thrown to the wolfs again- against Luis Cane(8-1-1, only loss by DQ). This match means a lot to both fighters, Cane is yet to prove that he's legit, and Sokoudjou absolutely has to win to prove that he is indeed not a fluke but a force to reckon with.
Jardine vs Brandon Vera is next on the list and its another match were a lot is at stake for both fighters. Jardine's latest performances have been a mess, a mix of wins and losses against top opponents, and there is no doubt he wants to find his place in the division. For Vera this is his second fight at LHW, and it will break him or establish him as a legit LHW contender. Vera unfortunately, much like Jardine, never found his position in the fight world. But this time it isnt his fault, UFC 1-fight-a-year policy just never gave him the chance.
The main even is rather lackluster- its Michael Bisping vs Chris Leben. Michael is in my opinion a quality fighter, in a weak division with a tiny-slim bottleneck in Anderson Silva. Leben on the other hand is a crappy fighter capable of providing an exciting brawl. Will be exciting match if Leben can defend, but Bisping will easily take it which i hope sets him up with a match against Henderson.
Procrastination is my greatest trait as it seems. Its been a week since East Coast invitational was done and i has not even posted a line on how it ended. In my defense i have caught a cold from someone at the event, got my sister sick but recovered quickly, and then got the cold back from my sister. This time even tho i am almost completely recovered after only two or three days(cant even remember how long it was!) it was a nasty nasty cold.
As to how the event itself went- not good, not good at all. I got busted rather quickly, remember how i said that there were cases in the past were wrestlers took out entire events just by double legs- well i ran into two wrestlers, and got destroyed. At first i told my team that they were too strong, too quick, too agile, i could do nothing, but the truth is, i dont know if they were. The truth is, im just not clutch. I am Mumyung and in the comfort of starleague qualifiers(READ: my own dojo), i can outmicro and outmacro anyone. But when the competition came.. No i wasnt nervous in fact i wasnt nervous at all. I wasnt crowd-shy or anything. I was just lost. I was relaxed. I didnt care at all. Sorry teamliquid, ive let you down, youll have to wait a bit more to take down a first major sporting victory under your heralds.
The event made me rethink a lot of things however. Is my dojo any good? The answer is no. There is one insane brown belt in it, really really insane, in fact, as far as im concerned, hes really a quality black belt, but hes only 18 years of age, and last black belt promotion he just did what i did this tournament- Mumyunged it. Other then that the rest of the guys are somewhat competitive- sure- but they seem to be more of a recreational judokas. But Ill let the numbers speak for themselves- there were 6 people from my dojo at the event. Among them there were a grand total of 4 won matched(2 won+2won by DQ) and 12 lost. The closest good judo school(actually the only one on the level in NYC) however is about an hour away, and is located in projects.
The other question ill have to answer do i want to continue with judo at all. When i say i love judo i dont mean i love judo and judo only, i mean i love grappling. My problem with judo is that while what they are teaching in my dojo(while not competition level) is purely awesome- standup and ground game alike- and that is so rare in judo or BJJ schools which seem to focus entirely on one aspect of the game- the one that is most important for their sport. My problem is that the competition rules are really not my cup of tea. There are so many ridiculous ones, such as if your opponent falls on his head you get DQed. They claim its for safety but given the competitive nature of the sport wouldnt you say it actually promotes falling on ones head? The ground game is non existent, and while i do love takedowns, my love affair is with matwork. And as far as competition goals go- looking at the big picture i always had no-gi grappling as my goal. I figured however ill go with Judo until at least i get a blackbelt and then ill figure things out. But now im thinking, why not start right now, why procrastinate, why put things off.
Those are the questions i need to answer to myself in the nearest future.
I have a black belt promotion coming up on October 11th. And im not sure if i should go or not. I just dont feel it I just dont think i can close up the holes in my game in this time. We'll see.
Its the day of the event ladies and gentlemen. In an hour ill be safely in my senseis car driving towards fame and glory that is Judo East Coast Invitational.
I apologize for not keeping updates but between training and turning in about 80k hands of poker since then i barely had any time of anything, and as you could see the most substance i was putting in were the hot chicks. I promise you to write a couple of in-depth articles on training if i win. If i lose, ill jump off brooklyn bridge obviously.
I have butterflies in my stomach but im making them fly in formation.
Not much i guess but uhh! I was gonna post somebody else but found no pictures of that chick so yea thats what youre fapping to today.
And for those of you who think posting pictures without consent is creepy heres a story thats real creepy!
First of all i never met this chick. I talked to her online but she is a girlfriend of a friend of a friend. They broke up and she posted the pictures of his dick all over the internet and threatened to send their sex video to his parents if he doesnt do something. Dont recall what.
Hows that for invasion of privacy?
Anyway onto the training.
I had a judo class today. Apart from the drills i fought two rounds of randori, which is what i want to focus on.
I fought two brown belts, first one i ipponned once countering his double leg attempt with tawara gaeshi type of shit. So so so so clean i ended up in mount. He kept bending so i tried to execute this as a power move without him actually coming my way. I failed and he ended up in mount position, which tbh i dont think he would be able hold onto cos he sucks at keeping holdings.
Sparring with the second dude we ended up 2-2 with me trying to do a reaching outside sweep and he just countered when i got my arm too far behidn somehow. Then i got him down straight on his back ending up in his guard with inside foot sweep(same leg). Then i got him down by going outside foot sweep(same leg) where he stepped back allowed me grab his now front leg and lift it up, after which i just swept his other leg and fell on top.
Last throw of the day was the kneeling version of ippon sionage. i blocked it at first but then i felt safe and started repositioning myself and that was when he slammed and turned me. Im not sure if it was ippon tho or not.
Is my training helping? Yes. Immensely. I feel that my speed is ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL! Same goes for my cardio. I felt hella freshier then usual today. Strength is obviously at the same level as i havent really been training it at all.
First and foremost id like to emphasize these 2 important points if you, not surprisingly, consider me your fitness messiah: MAX STRENGTH INCLUDING 1 REP EXERCISES ARE IMPORTANT! IM NOT INCLUDING THEM IN MY ROUTINE COS IM REHABILITATING SEVERAL INJURIES ALL EXERCISES ARE DONE EXPLOSIVELY. IF YOURE NOT DOING EM SO, YOURE BETTER OFF SITTING ON YO COUCH EATING NACHOS FROM YOUR BELLY AND PLAYING WOW
Todays routine looked like that: 3 minute of 6.5 warm up. 1)1 minute of 8.5 2)Cable pull imitating shoulder throw, 15 reps, 30 pounds(rope grip) 3)30 crunches 4)cable pull imitating gi pull, 15 reps, 30 pounds.(rope grip) 5)Running on stairs with 35 pound plate, 5 reps 11 steps. 4 with weight, 1 without(getting from weight floor and to machine floor) 6)cable pull- 15 reps 60 pounds core swings, with cable on your waistline, basically using punching form other then that your hands are on your waist and arms are stationary.(rope grip)(single hand grip gripped with 2 hands overlapped) 7)5 pullups. EXPLOSIVE!
3 circuits with 60 second rest in between. Walk, dont sit.
I'm keeping it real yo. This is another chick i know, we went to college together, and used to take the same train home together. Unfortunately i was a loser and never made a move! Is this creepy im posting pictures of chicks without their knowledge?
Nice bod! View from the side! Some cleeevge!
I havent updated on my training in a while it's mostly cos ive been busy with stuff. Nothing important has been going on either. Well except that my injuries dont bother me almost at all. Last monday ive as promised started up a circuit routine. I decided to separate first and last(cable) portions of my routine in 2 different circuits. First i wanted to do them in the same dame, interchanging, but the cable machines had like a huge line so i was like fuck it. Ill come thursday morning and figure it out. So after i finish this blog im going. Hope itll be available. 1)1 min on treadmill at 8.5 speed, 2)clean and press 85 pounds 10 rep 3)jumps over bench 15 rep 4)crunches 30 rep 5)bicep curls 65 pounds 15 rep 6)squats 65 pounds 15 rep 7)incline machine press(single arm) 25 pounds each 15 rep each arm 8)lateral jumps over bench 15 rep 9)leg raises 15 rep Repeat 3 times. 60 seconds rest in between.
Each of the latter excersizes were meant to take 30 seconds but its hella hard to look at the time when youre doing some of them^_^ As such i will be hunting for a timer with an adjustable alarm(feel free to reccomend me one) and until then i will do it with repetitions.
Funny thing is when i clean and press the weights actually hit the ceiling. Its just right height so it doesnt pose me a problem(it only touches at MAXIMUM extension). But im only 5'10. Anyone taller is screeeeeweeed. About this circuit now. This is the first time i do a circuit like that, with weight. And it is INSANE. I never felt so fucking tired in my life! And so thirsty. I couldnt talk until i drank some so dry my mouth was. And the funny thing? 3 hours after the workout i felt as fresh as a fucking pickle. Its amazing how amazing circuits are.
Im sure i posted her before here, went out with this chick a couple o years ago. Blowing my own horn here, prolly was the hottest chick i went out with. Was completely cuckoo tho. What can i say, not everyone can pimp like white.ra.(check out his MYM profile for hot chicks he dates/dated!)
There is a lot of bullshit in this post, im gonna hightlight the important parts.
Anyway onto training. Today was day 3 of 5x5 routine, i skipped day 2 tho, so its sorta outta whack. Either way. My day today started with confirmation that i am in fact lactose intolerant. I drank some milk in the morning and got diarrhea. Not fun at all. I went to gym feeling like i am gonna puke.
I started with the usual warm up of 5 minutes on 6.5 speed, then went on to do military press. i did 65 pounds x 5, my right elbow and shoulder(where i have sprained ligaments and pinched nerve) felt perfect, back hurt a bit(pinched nerve too), but my left shoulder and elbow started to hurt. LAIK WTF. Second and 3rd sets i did 85 pounds x5 and then i was laik gtfo enough for me it started hurting so bad...
Squats was next, i did first with 85 x5 and then 105 x5 four sets(explosive squats as always). Back hurt a bit but nothing like before, and it made me really happy.
Bench press was the next. Several awkward situations ve arisen during the exercise. My gym is so fucking small(it costs 200 bucks a year tho- like 1 mile away from my home and never crowded) that i was moving the bench under the bench press cage when i almost fucked up some dudes barbell row=| it wasnt really my fault but i felt really bad cos you can really hurt someone like that. I apologized but felt awkward. My gym is ridiculous like that- it has silly rules like dont drop weights dont use this weights there and those weights here, but today i read the most ridiculous out- "please do not sweat on the equipment or your membership will be revoked." LOOOOL. Sure, ill hold my sweat in. Anyway my benchpress looked like first set of 95x5, 115x5, 135 x5 x3. Left shoulder and elbow hurt for first 2, but then it got okay. So anyway back to awkward situations. After 3rd set i just stayed to lie down on bench in the rest periods. I was just thinking of things, put my elbows over the face, chilling. When i hear guys near me start talking loudly in some arabic language, laughing a bit, and then one guy comes over to me and asks me if i am okay. PFF. I know its a nice thing to do on their part, most people in this city just dont give a fuck, indifferent to anyone around them, but i just hate it. Always hated it. Hate it when im okay and someone thinks im not, and hate it even more when im not okay. Im just proud like that always was. Even when i was little when i injured myself somehow i hated when my mom like hugged me. I hate showing weakness. I dont feel pain! I am unstoppable!
Funny enough in judo class i wince and pretend like im hurt whenever im thrown or something. It serves several purposes, a)when people seem hurt the hurter tries to attack and finish the match, and when youre not really hurt it gives you advantage b)when they cant finish you they think "omg i just hurt this guy and he recovered right away how the hell im gonna beat him!" c)its strickly vanity point, but when i act hurt and then continue people start to respect you like "hes hurt but hes still fighting" but i really know that im not so its like i stil have my pride and also have respect!!! silly i know. Ofc when im really hurt i try to hide it^_^
Back to workout then...
I did 3x10 leg raises on the leg raising cage, think you know what im talking about^_^ i usually do 5 but i felt like i was on the verge of letting it rip all the way throught the cramped basement weight room. YAH.
I finished the routine with 65x5x1, 85x5x4 barbell rows and the usual 3 min 6.5 treadmill workout. All my injuries felt real good comparing to just 2 days ago at this point, which made me real happy and i was barely tired at all.
I dont know what the hell am i doing tomorrow tbh. My buddy and his college mates are going somewhere to play paintball tomorrow, i have to meet em at 1pm, but i have judo class at 11:30, i can possibly do both(cut out the last portion of judo class when we sparr), and go to full class on sunday. Im still taking it easy at judo because of my injuries, and i think 1 day of sparring will be okay, id go to full class, but the thing is i wouldnt really trust to sparr all out with anyone except my buddy whos obviously not going. Anyway. Coinflip.
Monday will be fun. Ill be starting the circuit workout. It wouldnt be a real circuit yet, i will be just setting it up, adjusting the weight, the order and the time. So far the exercises im looking at are those:
1)1 min on treadmill at 7 speed, 2)clean and press
3)jumps over bench 4)crunches 5)bicep curls 6)squats 7)incline machine press
(except single arms) 8)lateral jumps over bench 9)leg raises 10)cable pull over shoulder- to simulate shoulder throw. 11)this is complicated, ill try to fix the cable on my feet somehow to simulate foot sweeps. 12)cable pull - with me facing the cable, and cable fixed on midsectionish level- to simulate gi pulls. 13)running up and down the stairs-like a madman. 14)cable pulls again, this time the grip is stationary, lateral core movement.
The session has to be 5 minutes, so i might adjust it to fit or whatnot, separate into two sessions or something else. There will be 3 sessions with 1 minute break in between. The weight will be light cos of my injuries, well see when im more ready to get more violent. When i am im gonna first raise weight and then go into more brutal Ross Emanait style workouts.
(rosstraining.com- get his books if you arent a loser!)
Prelude: yesterday why practicing the throws on the football field me and my buddy got stopped by cops and spanked, cos apparently its some school's private property. Hey, America teh freedomland, the country of polizei government and laws!
Today was planned to be intense day. 2nd day of my 5x5 routine and throw practice in the evening however i woke up with pretty bad elbow pain=(((. It got me in a bad spot, Wednesday is sorta like a cornerstone of my schedule! Thursday is planned to be a day off, Friday 3rd day of 5x5 routine and saturday and sunday judo classes only perhaps with a mild workout. Another important part is that my previous days were pretty leg heavy so i wanted to give my legs a chance to rehabilitate a day or two.
But, i had to improvise, and i instead opted for a cardio circuit, which included 40 second of jump rope, sprint(width of the football field), 10 shot drills(i use three bike tires for that, one end of which i put around my waste, and another over the fence)jog to the bleachers, running up and down the stairs there, jog back to the middle of football field, 30 crunches, 10 knee tuck forward jumps over thing, there is this thing you can jump over^_^ 10 lateral jumps over a bit smaller thing y ou can jump over, 10 sprawl drills, and back to start. 3 times, 40 seconds breaks inbetween.
Tommorow will be day off, i will try to relax somewhat, but i dunno, its impossible for me to relax, im one tense motherfucker. I dont even know what to do to relax, last time i was relaxed was probably like 8 years ago when i lived back in Belarus and was chilling on my families summer house out in the country^_^ In new york unfortunately there are no nice private places to relax, and in public places you never know when some fucker gonna stab u in the chest couple of times and then saw off your head^_^.
Today was a pretty leisurely day, i didnt even have any schedule, just did everything in relaxed fashion. First off the diet is pretty much like yesterday.
Day started out crappily. I woke up with a headache, the shower was taken and i just decided to go watch some olympic judo and play some poker after that. Poker wasnt that good, i barely broke even cos of a cooler, and a hand terribly misplayed, as can be seen on liquidpoker if you care. Anyway.
The training today was supposed to be chill and aerobic in nature. It is unknown how many matches in a row i will have to play so anaerobic alone wont be enough.
Im not big on aerobic training- i dont know much about it. It basically consists of one thing and one thing only- 3km jog. Its probably little, but its what i do without overtraining(ie legs so stiff cant workout the next day situation). I did it in the dead heat of the middle of the day- perhaps a bad call, but i really like the mental toughness aspect of the situation. Being mentally tough is 90% of the game. Consider this. When i ran the usual 3km or whatever, i feel like dying on the last lap, my brain and body beg me to stop. My legs want to give in. But come last 100m stretch, i sprint. Yep. I can still sprint. Because there is always more to you. You can always do more reps. More weight. Its your consious mind that has to make your body do more. Your body is there to preserve the energy and thats why it sends to your brain all those signals, which are, false. Recognize this- if you were running away from a vicious dog, you would not feel this at all. In fact you could run twice as much perhaps and not feel tired. Because the body releases the hormones that help metabolism, lactic acid inhibition, painkillers, etc! Point is, you can always push.
I finished the session with 30 sprawl drills and 80 crunches. Boy i was dying on crunches, so tired. And on my normal days i do 3 sets of 80 crunches or so.
Come home i took a hot bath- first one in a long long time. I've done this to relax my muscles and clean the skin pores to ease the release of sweat, and skin breathing. I also used the water softener with bubbles. I did this to first of all to neutralize water's acidity, and second small bubbles are nice, gently massaging my skin when bursting...
Oookay i know thats gay!
The hot bath would be best followed up with cool shower, but i felt sick-ish yesterday, so i decided not to go the hot-cold way.
The side effect of a hot bath is its gonna lower my sperm count, but im not planning on having sex for the next 2 months! And even if i did, im totally fine with low sperm count, we dont want no babies, k thx. Anyway a lot of fighters abstain from sex for several months before a fight(even Andrei Arlovski with his uber hot bimbo ex-gf), however no one says anything about jerking off. Personally(i am not a health professional!) i think jerking off is essential, because brutal fitness program will elevate your testosterone levels to an incredibly high level, and i dunno, i just dont think its good. And personally i find sex inspiring and motivational, its just that sex with a woman is energy draining. Ofc you could say "well ill just make the bitch ride me all day" but honestly when youre there making sweet sweet luuuv will you be thinking "oh i shouldnt change position cos i have a fight" or will you be going "screw it!"
I will have a second training session in two hours or so. I will jump rope my way into aerobic immortality and practice the throws i listed in previous blog post.
