350 bucks for what, I can't adjust the volume anymore for some fucking reason I cant get into Mcafee which is also my firewall the computer actually says it is gone for fucks sake! My comp is at the same snail's pace if not slower, Web Root is still going all over the place taking around 47% of the CPU totally at random! I tried launching Champions Online and there is a 217mb patch the dl is horrible I should dl that in no time, I left it to dl and after 30 minutes it hasn't even reached 5%!
Worst of all I am now getting pop ups on firefox, for fuck sake. Have no idea what I am right now pissed, confused, or just stunned. I am glad they got rid of SOME virus but apparently they missed something. They seem to have done more damage than an actual virus.
My desk looks so empty with the tower gone, but as of right now my computer is in the hand(s) of a the Geek Squad I can't get rid of a damn virus and along with c and several other problems I had to take it in. For diagnostic and repair it cost 200 dollars but a normal repair job required 5-7 days so I forked over another 150 to have them work on it so that it might be ready in 24 hours. Before leaving a agent was already working on it and wasn't looking good. There could be a chance that the registry is fucked and everything could be lost games, movies, and yes even movies including my favorite A Yank at Oxford(1938), and The Civil War by Ken Burns. I would be lying if I said I wasn't anxious about what could happen or what other bad news could be waiting for me.
But I guess the important thing is that it is being worked on now rather than later. Before I took it to Best Buy I started training a 5 day skill on Eve Online, so at least I am progressing on that front. I just wish I could play video games on this laptop but it is not for gaming but for college work. At least I can watch some Yale Courses on You Tube and I have plenty of books to read and old TCM movies that I have TiVo'd one of which is a Yank at Oxoford
So ocne again I am looking for some good science fiction books but this focused on Military Science Fiction, I read Starship Troopers a while back and enjoyed it now I am looking for some more, perhaps a series of books.
I browsed the Barnes & Noble website and came across the Heritage Trilogy by Ian Douglas, has anyone read the books if so are they good? Or does anyone have any other books in mind that they think are good?
A book by Kathleen Burk titled Old World New World: Great Britain and America from the Beginning, about 800 pages. It looks interesting.
Then the gf cooked a steak with baked potato which was delicious. Of course there was cake it was also good but I was stuffed so I didn't eat much of it. So all in all it was a good day.
For some reason my computer is so fucking slow internet and all. I have scanned and rescanned with Webroot that has removed the same adware twice, and several trojans alas nothing has changed my slowness, I can't even visit some sites. Right now according to Windows Task Manager I am between 85% and 99% CPU usage which is insane I have never seen that kind of behavior from this computer, ever. For some odd reason it says Spy Sweeper, even when it is not sweeping is taking around 70 percent which again is very weird.
Right now with another sweep done nothing was found. Comp still slow, internet as well.
I am so glad that I looked up the schedule for Spring 2010 and noticed early registration started the day before my birthday. Just finished getting all my classes with all the good teachers, there had to be maybe 1 other person online grabbing classes as well. Sometimes it pays off being a night owl.
I even managed to grab a French class which usually only has 6pm classes, this one actually starts around noon. And I grabbed the American Lit teacher that I was told was awesome, as well the History teacher.
Honestly it is not so bad living under Spanish rule. Taxes are fair, the Government changed to a Republic not so long ago, and we are more advanced Militarily, Industrially, as well as Philosophically than any other nation on Earth.
You should be proud to be a citizen of such an empire. But no, I get word of riots, worker strikes, and rebellions every other turn. What is wrong with you people. London may have fallen but Ireland, and Scotland have not, and Queen Mary still has control of the colonies. We are weak in America after a 40 year long war with the Cherokee Nation in which we just manged to grab control of Florida again before a peace was established. Texas has yet to be conquered. The Mediterranean Sea has to be pacified, the Barbary states are still active with one city which fell to our soldiers now in rebellion! The Empire is is on a tight rope with the Ottomans, war is only a matter of time.
But right now we are at War with the Prussians and it is not going well. Brandenburg has fallen but with our forces having to put down trouble makers in the Rhineland, the region of Silesia has fallen to our enemies. Saxony has yet to fall even at the cost of about 4000 soldiers. East, and West Prussia have yet to be fought over. Vienna, and Hungary are defenseless.
Shape up citizens. War is tough. But your riots, strikes, and rebellions cost money as well as Soldiers which could be used to fight our enemies and expand control of what is rightfully ours.
Stargate Universe is set on the Ancient ship Destiny, which was launched nearly a million years ago. Several ships were sent ahead of it to seed the universe with Stargates. The Ancients had planned on using the Stargate to board Destiny when it was far out enough into the universe, but learned how to ascend before that time. In order to reach this ship, an address would have to be dialed consisting of nine chevrons, a possibility that had been unknown in the previous Stargate series.
Does anyone watch this, it is the latest series of the franchise and though I am familiar with the world of Stargate. I have never watched Atlantis, or even most of SG1, but so far I am loving this series, especially since it is not like any of it's predecessors where they go through the gate and an hour later are back home and safe. Some fans hate the series because for the sole reason that it isn't like that. Hopefully the series has a healthy run and isn't canceled.

Okay I am a video game nerd. But I'm sure it was a silly jab at Cryptic but still it pisses me off. You can hear the comment near the 6:09 mark.
First and foremost let's not forget this game was first created by Cryptic so those fans need to shut up. So "There is no other super hero MMO!" dude, remember that. Also the graphic enhancements, shadows, reflections and so forth. Have been around for several years. Oh joy camera movement as well.... Not to mention it has nothing to do with gameplay. Champions Online has, in my opinion, tons more customization, especially when it comes to the mech type of costumes, or even demonic. The game even, IMO, has much more fluid gameplay especially when the I can roll, tumble etc.
As one player points out, "Matt Miller is responsible for the positron task force. Who's the clown here?."
But whatever props to having cool looking renders finally. I would be excited yet I am busy playing the other superhero MMO. Douchecanoes.
