Here is the deal. I am going to Egypt in about 2 weeks to visit my wife and I had downloaded a lot of lectures/speeches for my mother in-law in her native tongue. It is about 15.7GB. I was going to just buy an ipod and put them all on them but all these lectures are in folders and all organized and organizing them into playlists in itunes is so annoying and time consuming...
1. Is there any program compatible with an Ipod that you can just add folders and folders to the library and it will automatically put them on the Ipod under the folders names [i.e make it a playlist]?
2. If not, I noticed if the files in a folder are already in an album then I can just copy paste all the files in a specific album into a playlist. How do I make album for audio files? Say I have 10 files in a folder. How do I make an album for them so when I upload that folder to itunes it will have its own album?
2a. I noticed you can import playlists. Is there a way [in windows] or with some program i can make a playlist for each folder and then I can just import these playlists one at a time?
3. I don't want to get some creative zen or something not known in Egypt. One thing I know she would like is if the mp3 player is a known and respected name like Apple Ipod/Sony/Microsoft/Samsung. I don't know anything about the sony & Microsoft mp3 players. Can you just copy paste files easy on the ipod like its a storage drive or just add files to it very easily with whatever program it comes with, without having to make them into playlists. I am asking about sony/Microsoft cause they don't know creative and ztunes or whatever and its kinda 'cheap' to them.
I just had 2000 stolen from my account! They say I used that bank card at a place with an account reader and they put that information on a blank card and stole 2000 from me...
This is going to sound very weird and fake/made up but I can assure you that nothing that I type below is a lie nor is it exaggerated.
Its Tuesday morning around 4am and I am biking home. I started work @ 5pm on Monday and got off at work @ 3:30am. Anyways, I start on my normal 15-20 minute bike home from work. Its a bit chilly outside and with the wind, I think its feeling like around -9 Celius. I always have to bike through some bike path in the woods that cuts into the road that I live on.
Anyways, so I am biking into these woods and I see some light up ahead and I thought that its some construction lamp because they are widening the road behind me. I pass by and see that it is some guy sitting down by some fire. I didn't get a good look and the first thing that I thought is that its a couple of people burning stuff for fun. I then notice that its only one person and I continue biking on my way home. I stop half-way through the bike path thinking about whether to offer him a place to stay for tonight. It was obvious that he was kinda young [below 25] and without a place and it was kinda cold and I felt bad for him.
I literally spent 5 minutes sitting on my bike just thinking about whether I should invite him to my place. I rent a room in the basement of a house so I really shouldn't be bringing in strangers and I have a bit of money in the bank so if he is any weirdo with a weapon and see's a bank account statement then maybe he'll force me to give him money or anything.
Against my better judgment, I bike back and offer him a place to stay for the night. He accepts the offer and packs up his stuff and tells me that he ran away from the place he was staying at and he lives with a roommate. I assumed from the girly way that he is talking that he is gay. Anyways, He is packing his bag and I noticed he is putting a mirror into it. Who runs away from a place and packs a mirror. I can understand a girl but a guy packing a mirror...
I started regretting my decision to bring him to my house. We walk back to my house and he is telling me how it was his birthday and his roommate was treating him like shit after he was partying with friends so I ask him 'Is that your boyfriend' which he was like 'no way eww' I then find out that he is 25 and his roommate is like 56 or something like that. I kinda felt stupid after he answered my question.
He gets to my place and stuff like that and I give him some food and some milk and I let him sleep on the bed while I sleep on the floor. I made sure I had my wallet/phone/Ipod in my pocket. I felt very uncomfortable. Anyways he's sniffling here and their and unpacking his stuff. He takes out this thing which looks like a vibrating dildo LOL and tells me its something for his skin. Mirrow and some machine for toning skin makes me think...
So, he is bi-polar and on some cheque and goes to York University. He doesn't have that much money and wants to get his own place but needs to wait till 26th for his 1500 cheque or something. I end up sleeping [and it took me a damn while]. I almost had thoughts that he was going to try to rape me or something.
So, I wake up around 1pm. I actually set my alarm @ 11am cause I wanted to get on ICCup and play some PvP on Athena for some CW that is coming up but I decided to forego that because it would be weird as hell.
We wake up and I feed him some cereal and I tell him that i am leaving for work around 3:30pm. I imply that he has to be gone by then and he gets the point. I then let him use my phone. He calls his disability place and tells them that he will pick up the cheque there and not send it to his old place. Anyways, he calls some guy that he stayed at before for a couple of days and I could hear him asking like 4 times 'I never did anything wrong at your house or stole anything' like he wants me to know that so I will let him stay at my place while I go to work. LOL NO WAY.
He later asks me why I asked him if that was his boyfriend [his roommate] and I don't reply. He then tells that he dates boys and girls and lists a name of 3-4 recent male boyfriends but says he would prefer to be with a girl cause that's the way God made us and asking if I think Barack Obama is the Antichrist LOL
I am really worried now. I guess you could say I am homophobic if you want to use that term. He then starts to say how he likes my goatee. I had already told him I am married (which I am). He then calls his mom on ym phone. I know its long distance but He said it would be a minute or 2. It ends up being 16 minutes. I like how he said 'Some nice STRAIGHT' guy let me stay at his house'. I guess mentioning I was straight was important.
He calls his roommate that he got in a fight with and I guess he decides to go back their. His roommate had threaten to call the police before and he had pulled the phone off the wall and then ran a way when he thought police were coming.
He then mentions 'Can I freeze in this weather' like 10 times and I wanted to say 'grow up girly man' but I didn't
He asks for my number which I don't give him. Anyways, its 3:30pm. I want some private time so I tell him I have to go to work. I lead him to that bike path and he starts to walk home then I bike home and surf TL.net and stuff lol
He was talking about how he hopes to see me again and stuff like that...
Fast forward to Friday Night...
I was trying to sleep before the Bisu vs Jangbi finals and here some knocking on my window which freaked me out. I didn't get up or anything. Anyways, the owner comes down and tells me some guy was looking for me and told me how I gave him a place to stay and then asked about the spare room that we need to rent out. The owner found out he is on disability and doesn't want 2 people just staying home. We already have 1 guy who is retired Italian but he is very nice guy.
This guy [Adam] was looking for me and knocked on my window and told the owner he might leave a note on my bike or something and that he will be back tomorrow to see me lol
I really don't like this guy and I don't know why he so interested in me. He said he had lots of friends that he could stay with downtown (gay ones), so why is he bothering me.
I HOPE HE IS NOT INTERESTED IN ME (I will vomit now)
Anyways, this guy is biking 15-20 minutes just to come to my house so now I have my shutters closed and will pretend I am not home. Well, he can't get and knock on my door unless he gets in the house and he can't get into the house without knowing the password for the keypad on the entrance.
This is really freaking me out and I am such a nice person in real life that I don't like to offend people or tell people off.
I just found out from some guy in Maintenance Department that 15% of the Machine Operators are going to be layed off in 2 weeks. He is an electrician with the lowest seniority and was already told today at work that in 2 weeks that he wouldn't be needed. He told me they say its for 3 months or so but he thinks it is for 6 months.
I work for a company called P&F Tool and Die which is Part of Magna and we make parts for GM/Ford/Chrysler....well you can tell how this is going to go...
Anyways, how does this concern me? Well, My employee # is 743 and I got hired November, 2006 and a guy in my department who I eat lunch with and talk to is #694 and there wasn't a lot of people who got hired after me. Maybe 20 people. I heard they going to lay off about 30 people or something like that.
There is a chance that I just barely manage to stay but it also depends on how they do this. If its 15% per department like 15% 180 & 15% North Welding & 15% South Welding and finally 15% Stamping then I would be layed off for sure because there is about 15 people in North Plant during afternoons and most of them have been here 10 years with me being here 2 years and Nick being here 2 years and 2 months. If its 15% of all Welding then things could be different. I don't know
I'm glad I have IE [un-employment insurance] that they take from me every month so I would still get 60% of my pay for about 6 months or so. I could spend that time catching up in school work and playing more SC lol.
One thing I don't like about my work is that if they know who is going to get layed off now then why they wait to tell people.
Also, I was going to go 1 month vacation in Dec-Jan but if I am getting layed off then I will cancel that and save what money I have.
I am so happy now. Bisu vs Stork on Friday in OSL and Bisu playing at least 2 games in his MSL Group and Bisu again against a poor zerg thats going to get raped on Sunday...
What more could a Bisu fan want? Well, I want him to come back from his 0-1 against Stork and wipe the floor with him. Whether he wins his osl thing or not, he has a very good chance against his MSL group. He's probably been practicing PvP like crazy so he plays against Backho and rapes him and then most likely will play against Much and his PvP practice should show.
Even if FBH beats Much [which I doubt], I don't think Bisu PvT is that bad.
I just have a few questions about stuff I read in the manual and in online guides.
1) I read you can play online and make 6 characters [of course you will need to re-roll many times to get good stats] but then the team will have better stats then the normal NPC's that will join the party. Should I do this or should I play the game normally in single player because they say the NPC's in single player have more personality and character and all the alignment stuff etc.
2) If I play normally, I am going to make myself a fighter -human etc. They say Imeon since she/he has a high INT then its a good ideal to dual class him into a Mage after hes gone up 2-3 levels so you can put all the experience or points [or something] into his locate/disarm trap ability because they say stealing and stealth and all that other stuff not as important and then you have a thief with mage powers and his attack is weak. Is this advisable? If I don't dual class him then is their any weapons that don't rely on strength? He does have a good DEX stat so wouldn't he be better with bows?
2b) This is related to the above question. Is Dual/Classing or Multi classing worth it? Also, I want to enjoy the game so going online and seeing the alignment of certain NPC's does that take away the fun of the game? Is their some quests that have amazing rewards but the quests are kinda hidden or hard to get that I would need a guide to figure out how to actually get the quest in the first place [not how to solve it]
2c) Someone mention [mindcrime] about AI abuse like summoning abuse and invisibility/back stab abuse. IN the expansion you can only go invisible when their is a shadow and its affect by shadows. Does this effect these strategies? What exactly is Summoning abuse. I do not priests and Mages can summon. Thanks.
3) What's with this AI ON/OFF thing? Should I just always keep the AI off and whenever I see an enemy just pause the game and issue commands or having the AI on for my NPC Companions will that affect game play at all. I know they might attack and I guess they choose their own spells to use when casting? Whats advisable? If every round is 6 seconds I don't think thats not enough time to issue commands to 6 different characters unless you pause and un-pause every 6 seconds. For those who have played the game...is leaving the AI on and letting them attack and do their thing enough? Is it enough for the warriors but do I need to control the mages etc
Note: I try installing EASY-Tutu but didn't have enough disk space. I am going to play Balder's Gate [I have the expansion installed].
4) I noticed in the expansion that if someone does an area effect spell that you can kinda dodge it. Like if the fireball hits you but it didn't expload in the Original you will get hit but in expansion you can kinda run out of it. Even if you do get hit when trying to run out ,does the computer will still roll a saving throw for you? [ie if saving roll good then in fireball attack dmg is 1/2]

So its another season and another D+. I think this is the 2nd week of the new season. I feel its so hard. I know some games I am just doing very stupid stuff and throwing it away but most of my games [even some of my wins] have been very very close. I feel the skill level of ICCup went up and I'm only @ D+. I got C+ in Season 7 and then last Season I didn't play alot and got C-/C but I'm finding it very hard.
I think it's because I kinda took a 2 month break from serious playing. I'd play maybe 1-5 games a week and nothing more.
Anyways, I am 14-10 D+ 2075. I found the last 8 games kinda depressing. I can't make games at the moment and spamming in the channel takes a while so I join whatever game comes up. So I'd be playing Python [cause people keep making it] and winning and get 1995 and then lose 2 games and win 1 and lose 2 games and always be @ 1995. Its was tiring.
Anyways I am:
PvZ 3-3 (50%) [I always end up being around 40-50% in PvZ]
PvP 6-1 (86%) [I always start off strong in PvP but when I reach C-/C I go down to about 50-60% win rate in PvP]
PvT 5-6 (45%) [ I honestly think this is my worst Match-up. I suck against Terran. I suicide my army so much. I lose to pushes so easily and I can't micro Carriers at all. Actually if I go Carriers = Auto Loss for me lol. I end up either doing 1 of 4=5 things:
1) Playing normal and taking a 3rd in reply to their FE and macroing up and going for a late game. Sometimes I suicide my army to crack their 3rd and get really behind. I usually go Arbiters 2) I do some all-in 4 Gate goon garbage lol [this almost always fail] 3) I do a 1 Base reaver build and usually have horrible micro and lose my shuttle and the reaver lol 4) I do some 2 base mass zeal + goon + storm and try to rape their first push and then take an 3rd + 4th. This usually works 3 out of 5 times. 5) I DT Drop. I really like this build especially on python where you can take an island. Of course if they did some build like 2 fact vult or 4 vult drop then your usually screwed and that FD Rush usually comes before my dts come out. Anyways, I am working on it.
I hope I can get at least C+ this season. I hope I can makes games soon and that way in 3 hours I can play 10-12 games easily without having to search for games and play non-MOTW. I switched comps [as anyone will know if they read my previous blog] so whenever I configure a Static IP [so I can open my port in the router] then my internet stops working. I am working on that.
Here is what happened. I had a AMD 4400+ with a decent 256MB Geforce card /w 200 GB hard drive. I managed to mess up the motherboard and I think I fried part of it. Anyways till I go and buy another motherboad I am left with my PII 450 MHz comp with 327 MB of Ram. I think it has 4MB for its Video Card lol. My Primary Drive [C:\] is 6 GB with about 700 MB left. I have Windows on that and Starcraft + Alpha Centuri [I installed it but I have not got to playing it yet].
My second drive [D:\] is 4 GB with about 300 MB in use. I moved everything to the C drive. I am downloading Baldur's Gate.
I just want people to know I actually biked 30 minutes today to Future Shop/Staples/EB games to actually look for the original game but I could not find it. I found Baldur's Gate II and bought that and Civilization III. I wanted to play these games cause thats all this computer can take lol.
Anways I am downloading the orginal Baldur's Gate and that is about 4.19 GB which is more then my D:\ Drive lol. SO I am not downloading the last CD for the expansion cause I need CD 1-5 to install and then I can free up space and once I finish that game [might take a while or I get bored] then I can install the expansion and the Baldur's Gate II.
Questions...
1) I know Baldur's Gate is based off D&D. Should I read the rules for that. I downloaded Dungeons And Dragons - Player's Handbook (4th Edition).
2) Is it enought to read the Baldur's Gate manual. I got that off Bioware site. I will also read their FAQ for Baldur's Game after reading the manual.
3) How long does it take to finish the game. I will not be playing it on Multi-Player. Should I install the expansion right away or after I finish Balder's Gate. [I am not talking about the sequal].
