I liek dem vidya games. With my unjustifiably expensive gaming rig, i like to play them a lot. And because of that, i've played through a lot of games in the past year. I like just about everything other than puzzle games, and would like some recommendations. To give you an idea of my tastes, here's what i've currently got installed:

Age of Empires 2
Aion
Borderlands
Need for Speed: Shift
Red Alert 3
Resident Evil 5
Left 4 Dead
Half Life 2 + Expansions
Dead Space
Crysis
Crysis: Warhead
S.T.A.L.K.E.R
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Propyiat
F.E.A.R
F.E.A.R 2
Fallout 3
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
Plants vs. Zombies
Tremulous

Any recommendations as to fun games? Hardware requirements are completely negligible.

Okay. So i just had this infuriating conversation with my ex-girlfriend

Basically, she, after abusing nearly every possible sort of psychoactive drug with me, now says that she "looks down" on drugs and drug users.

She called me to say happy birthday and we got into this long drawn out argument about my drug use, and eventually she said "Why is that (psychoactive culture overall) important to you."

So in a long, philosophically drawn out way, here is what i explained to her:

There seems to be some sort of... repression of psychoactives in our modern culture. Mushrooms wrote the Bible. Marijuana and LSD created the 70's in America. DXM is becoming an outlet for expression for thousands of people all over the world. For some reason we've come to this belief that "Psychoactives are bad." And propaganda distributed by governments all over the world continues to drive that belief home in millions (if not billions) or perfectly intelligent people. However, as in the examples i explained earlier, when a psychoactive becomes an important part of a culture, it always changes things in (relatively arguably) good ways.

The fact is that the ability to change how you think, feel, see, touch, smell, and hear things holds amazing value for so many people around the world. Be it a struggling artist or a person driven to the brink of suicide by depression, psychoactives have an incredibly ability to inspire and cause great revelation. Culturally, they have the ability to create entire new ways of thinking which are (once again, arguably) improved from those we create in our own logical ways.

Although it sounds rather egotistical, i've always considered myself pretty intelligent. I have a nearly photogenic memory and so bits and pieces of information have been my life for as long as i could remember. When i was 12 and i discovered Marijuana, it changed things in an amazing way for me. I used to be bored and in contempt of a lot of the things in life, and i felt that i was superior to them. However a new way of thinking showed me that there were so many other things in life that seemed to be right for me, and that i hadn't seen them before. Marijuana started it all, and after that i was on the internet constantly (keep in mind this was 1999, 18.8kbps connection ftw) researching everything i could. Before i was 18, i'd tried things most seasoned drug veterans hadn't. I'd shot up heroin in a back alley in Seattle. I'd bought PCP at the high class gated community of Semiahmoo. Not only were psychoactives an integral part of my beliefs, but they were also some of the strongest experiences of my life.

In my quest for self exploration, i've discovered a lot of things about myself and the world. After i graduated from highschool, my father called and offered to fly me back to Croatia to live with him for awhile (a place i vaguely remembered, having not lived there since before primary school). My old self would have said no, and would have stuck with what was concrete. However, once again, psychoactives had tought me that different things were often far better.

Because of moving here, i've created my career, nearly graduated from college, found the woman who will hopefully be my wife, and created more memories and good times than i could possibly have imagined.

I'm more knowledgeable in the subject of "Drugs" than any other dealer i have ever met, American or Croat. I've based a lot of my life around the philosophical and scientific exploration of psychoactives and how they effect us both on a micro and macro level. A lot of the time i feel like a walking, talking Erowid. All these experiences, all these memories, and so many of my values, all stem from one group of chemicals which i can't even begin to classify. In my "journeys", i've discovered that there is even an entire subculture of people exactly like me, who share the same beliefs. They live just beneath the surface, underneath the casual halo=playing brosefs who party with a 40 and act hardcore because they tried shrooms once. They are the mild mannered psychoactive super heroes, and there are more of them than you think.

Consider that all of this is in my head, constantly, as a part of my life which could as easily be seperated from me as my heart or soul.

So basically, thats why it's so important to me.

I started playing the MMO "Dragonica" Yesterday. It's not an incredibly difficult game but like all MMO's it can be difficult to figure out in the beginning so i decided to go to the forums, because the game seems rather interesting.

And then i was met with this wall of shit:
http://forum.iahgames.com/dragonica/index.php
I was going to quote a few posts but they are all so idiotic you just need to read a few of them.

Seriously. I don't even know how so many people can be so stupid and still manage to effectively play such a difficult game. I haven't seen such bad english since the ICCup forums, and this game is nearly 100% english speakers.

Edit: http://forum.iahgames.com/dragonica/showthread.php?t=24606

Jesus christ i think my brain just exploded.

Wow TL i have to say that right now i am more scared than i have ever been in my life. Last year i moved a lot of drugs and was a pretty big "dealer", and i still retain my connects for a lot of things. However i stopped when it started to get out of control, as well as my drug usage. Now i don't sell at all and try to keep my usage of dangerous drugs to a minimum. Lately, i've been interested in trying Ketamine and so when one of my connects called me and told me he had 3 grams of it i decided to go pick it up with two other friends.

We drove down to his house about 20 miles away and walked in, he showed us the ket and we game him money, pretty standard drug buying. Keep in mind that even now i am damned hung over after my 1800mg dose of DXM last night.

We walked out of the house just in time to see two "cruisers" block the driveway. We instantly bolted back inside, told our friend what we saw in about a second, and we all bolted out the back door. We heard the policeman open his gate and come around the side (it's really old and rusty) so we took off through his "back yard", which is actually an old field. It was about 100 feet to the trees but we just ran for about five minutes until we got to the road on the other side of them. we quickly decided to all go our separate ways. I walked about a mile to the bus stop (terribly paranoid the entire way) and came home.

I left my car at his house and i know that that the police have it. I never carry anything illegal in there, although i do have a baseball bat under the front seat.

This has honestly been one of the more terrifying days of my life and is just another reminder as to why i gave up dealing. I expect the police to show up shortly and although they don't really have any evidence they wouldn't have shown up without a warrant/reason.

So this may be goodbye for a while TL, i don't even know.

So i was just practicing for liquid kickball, and two games in a row there suddenly popped up this notification "player sI.Ema memory modification detected, points -50, Player sI.Ema disconnected." Both times we both had our AH on and the other players looked at the reps and saw no evidence of me cheating whatsoever. What is going on? Why is it doing this? I'm port forwarded properly but my router is broken and i've yet to get a new one, leading to the common "lag with more than one person" in game and random disconnects. But still it never accused me of hacking =\.

In my sleep deprived boredom, i decided to write a story last night. Its approximately 9 pages long, so i'll put it in a spoiler.

If any of you bothered to read it, what did you think?

So i decided to do it again. The rules are exactly the same, (no stimulants, coffee as an exception) except this time no money is on the line since we are both broke. This time i'm going for the 100 hour mark, which i haven't even gotten close too in my past two attempts, which were:
61 hours, 13 minutes.
78 hours, 28 minutes.

Its 8:42 AM. First day should be incredibly easy, but i've got to stay up for 5. If i manage to get 100 hours i dont think i'll do this again, it messes up my sleep patterns way too much. Like before, i'll post every successive 12 hours.

Protoss is EZ-mode, thats what they all say. We've all heard the 1a2a3a jokes, heard Artosis rage about how he hates them. And thats why i play protoss, my barely 140 apm and C- rank can only handle toss. And yet, it just isn't the same for me as it is for everybody else. I can carpet a zerg army with storms, (Just like reach), and NONE of their hydras will die. I can attack 4 lurkers with 2 dozen zealots and they will all get slaughtered, unlike in progames that make lurkers look as fragile as water balloons. 2 dozen of my probes can all go to one mineral, and my spamming stop and attack move fails to take out 4 zerglings when some players can take out 12. Goddamn it protoss, why do you hate me?

So, lately i've been listening to Lazlo Bane more than i normally would. For those of you who dont know who he is, he made the theme song for Scrubs:

as well as quite a few other very good songs, my favorite being "Scene of the Crime":

(unfortunately, it is only on youtube as an amateur music video, the song is still there)

What do you guys think of Lazlo Bane? He hasn't released a new CD in what seems to be awhile, but i think he's one of the better singers in his genre.
