Remember how I always thought it was a shittily recolored version of Rapidash? Well I was right.
It turns out whoever it is' terrible T-Shirt idea was stealing some 15 year old Anime' weeaboo's drawing, putting in a shitty font on the bottom, and passing it as his own terrible work.

Yeah, just a short blog asking people about small coincidences that make you smile.
One that happened just recently to me: I had some time to spare, so I loaded up Pandemic 2, determined to win. I failed three times with my best strategy (Parasite>sell all symptoms>level 1 resists>infect the world>rofl here comes hemorrhaging!). Obviously, the culprit is Madagascar, home of clairvoyant government officials who close down their only fucking seaport when they detect that someone in New Zealand has a fever.
On my fourth try, I renamed my parasite "FUCK YOU MADAGASCAR".
Game loads.
"Disease arrives in Madagascar".

The long awaited for grudge match of the century, Empyrean vs. Pokebunny, will be happening tonight, 6/19/09, at 8:00 PM EST (that's in four hours, sorry for the short notice roflz!)
Streaming on http://www.teamliquid.net/video/userstream.php?user=RaGe or livestream.com/tlrage
As you know, the format is Bo9 all match ups, which gives Pokebunny a chance because his "C" Terran goes 1-8 against my D- Protoss. DON'T BELIEVE ME?! /STATS EMPYREAN THAT SHIT!
Empyrean - Pokebunny T - Z T - P Z - P Z - Z P - Z Z - T P - P T - T P - T
First map Python, then loser picks from a mappool of Medusa, Destination, Heartbreak, and Python. We're doing our offraces first so it'll be more and more tense until the end!
Stakes: loser has to make timestamped GG sign, signed picture, and gets location changed to "noobvillage" for a month.
Hmmzors, this thread was certainly less abrasive than the previous one.
SO HERE ARE SOME EXPLOSIONS MOTHERFUCKERS!!! + Show Spoiler +
Yes, they're the same images as last time. Too lazy to go out and find some others
+ Show Spoiler + SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE PAGE 596 also I honestly expect to lose this. My offraces are trash

THAT'S RIGHT POKEBUNNY. BO9 GRUDGE MATCH WHICH YOU'VE BEEN DODGING ME FOR AGES
Hey TL.net, are you sick and tired of BORING GRUDGE MATCHES WITH NO DRAMA OR EXPLOSIONS?!?!?!? Well this Bo9 is for you! In one corner of the ring is TL.net's beloved and ever-so-handsome Empyrean:
+ Show Spoiler +
And in the other corner is mG.Pokebunny, the puberty-fighting Terran extraordinaire:
+ Show Spoiler +
BUT THERE IS ALSO DRAMA!!!
Our hero, Empyrean, has been looking for a grudge match with Pokebunny FOR MANY WEEKS but due to Pokebunny's epic dodging skill amplified by his RAPIDLY DEEPENING VOICE, has so far been avoided. Could this be because Empyrean is 8-1 WITH POKEBUNNY in such memorable games as a miraculous comeback win from behind after losing his nat, being behind in supply and expansions and having Pokebunny scoff why he didn't give up?! Or could it be in a game where TL's very own OneOther exclaimed that he'd never see Empyrean RAPE SOMEONE SO HARD BEFORE?!?! Or could it be the following hilarious game where Pokebunny gets owned by a SEMI-PROXY 10/15 INTO PROXY REAVERS?!?!
+ Show Spoiler + http://repdepot.net/replay.php?id=16865 Text: Empyrean: this is your best map, right? Pokebunny: ya
THE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW!!! (spoiler: yes, that's exactly the reason).
That's why I'm calling Pokebunny out to an EPIC GRUDGE MATCH OF DOOM. Originally, the format would be 3 PvT's, then all other match ups, vetoing one each, but since the only time Pokebunny has beaten my Protoss with his Terran (his main) was a SUPER GAY SCV/RINE ALL-IN, that's just giving me an automatic 3-0. AM I RITE, POKEBUNAY?!
So in the spirit of fairness, I am suggesting a bo9 all match ups except PvT (SINCE I WOULD WIN ANYWAY LOLOO and then a ninth RvR. Loser chooses map from the current ICCup map pool.
ARE YOU UP FOR IT POAKBUNEE?!@
Let me know.
Now, some of you might be wondering to yourselves: BUT WAIT, EMPYREAN PROMISED EXPLOSIONS!!!
HOLD THE FUCK UP MOTHERFUCKERS! HERE THEY ARE!!!!!! + Show Spoiler +

Empyrean, Jul 14 2009
The thread title basically sums it up. Also a disclaimer, this'll probably be the whiniest post I'll ever make on TL. Sorry about that. Oh, and I'm writing it at work, which uses IE, so it doesn't have the built-in spellchecker of Firefox. Please don't mind any incidental spelling mistakes
Anyway,
I have no clue what I want to do with my life. Currently I'm a sophomore at Duke University, and if I successfully complete my program of studies, I'll be the first statistics/biology double major do graduate from there. The problem is, I have pretty much no clue what I want to do with my life after college. I've thought about a lot of things, but nothing's been really calling out to me.
Like any Asian, I've considered medical school. My family has some pretty extensive background in medicine - some of my relatives were doctors, my mom taught in a medical school, etc., so that's what they're pushing me to do. The job security is excellent and the pay is decent, but honestly, I just don't want to go through medical school (especially residency), and the pay doesn't make the crappy hours and hellish 20's worth it. I just don't care enough about people to become a medical doctor. At this point, I'm not even sure if I want to finish my premed prereqs - I don't think I'll even apply to med school, and taking orgo at Duke is a GPA killer.
To be honest, I don't even know why I'm doing a major in biology anymore. I'm somewhat interested in it, but now that I think about it, I don't think I'm interested in it enough to justify killing my schedule (I have to take only biology and statistics courses from now on to satisfy requirements) or GPA (mainly molecular bio, genetics, and microbio classes). At this point, though, I think I'm going to be irrational (from an econ point of view), and go through with the major, even though it's pretty much a sunk cost for me.
And really, what am I going to do with a biology major? It's not that useful of a major for getting a job (ok, better than, say, communications), especially since I have a great job-getting major in statistics. Not sure whether or not to drop my bio major, or if it could potentially be useful later in my life.
As for statistics, I've thought about being an actuary. The main things holding me back are the fact that I'd have to take some econ courses to pass some of the exams. I figure I'd have to take econ courses anyway if I wanted to do anything in the finance fields (for mucho $$$), so meh, that's not really that bad of a downside. Econ at Duke is killer, though. Actuaries also make a decent living and have great jobs. I'm not so sure about security, though. Isn't a lot of actuarial work outsourced?
Anyway, I [i]do[i] want a doctorate, but if I do become an actuary and a fellow in one of the societies, I don't think I'll have much motivation to go through with a PhD program. At the moment, I think I'm going to want a PhD in statistics, since I'm really interested in statistics and just think it's absolutely fascinating (along with like...two other people in my grade). Not sure what I'll do with it, but I'm sure places will hire a statistics PhD.
Hmm, any thoughts? Sorry kind of random blog.

Empyrean, Jun 13 2009
Hmm, the question mark's there in the title because honestly I'm not sure how long I've been at this job now. I could figure it out pretty easily since I know my start date (May 13), but honestly, the weeks blend into each other so well even Bob Ross would be jealous. Happy little weeks.
Oh also, following corporate policy, there are some things that I can't reveal in this blog. You'll probably notice these things by the fact that through the course of my writing, I become as vague as that one person trying to describe that other thing.
So yeah, my thoughts on working at Eli Lilly and Company after however many weeks I've been here. I'll start by saying that I really do enjoy working here. I love the people, the environment, the work itself, and just the overall atmosphere of the place. Some background may be useful here; I work at Eli Lilly and Company's corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. Lilly's a huge pharmaceutical company most famous for inventing Prozac and Cialis, among others (Zyprexa, Gemzar, Byetta, etc.). My job description is "summer replacement", a term which I suppose qualifies me below interns in the corporate social hierarchy since really, who am I but a temporary replacement worker occupying a cubicle?
Oh yes, I have a cubicle.
I work in an analytical chemistry lab in the newest building in Lilly's labyrinthine corporate complex. From the outside, Lilly's corporate center looks like a random jumble of towering buildings, but in reality, they're all connected underground through a series of well kept tunnels with artwork, wood paneling, and confusingly placed amenities like coffee shops and a dry-cleaning service. To be honest, I didn't even realize that the corporate center was a bunch of different buildings (besides the fact that they're designated Building 87, Building 48, etc.) because of how nice the tunnels were. They're actually more like nicely decorated hallways, really, except since the buildings aren't all of the same elevation, sometimes you get these random passages that resemble sort of a ramp-type business like you're in some strange airport that couldn't fix its terminals correctly.
One of our cafeterias looks like the inside of a Von Maur. There are trees and plants everywhere, with lots of high quality wooden furniture and glass ceilings and stuff. There's also an outdoor picnic area around our lake, which has perfectly landscaped gardens and a shaded island in the middle accessible by a short bridge. Even the fish in the pond are beautiful. Another cafeteria features a dining room a few stories tall, with sheer curtains draping all the way from the ceiling to the floor. The main entrance to the entire corporate center is pretty intimidating, with marble floors accenting the colonnade leading to one of the buildings. There's even a Lilly museum, which shows Lilly as it evolved through the ages. There are fountains pretty much everywhere you walk. Fountains are popular here. Apparently they’re all the rage.
I'm in building 87, myself, which was constructed just a few years ago. It shows in the building itself. Our lobby looks like a modern upscale hotel, with comfortable leather armchairs, beautiful wood-paneled walls accentuated by steel and glass elements, a four story atrium and a huge water sculpture that loops water through a waterfall on one of the walls over warm underwater lamps. Portions of the floor have charming limestone tiles, polished such that you can actually make out some of the old sea creatures that died millions of years ago and somehow fossilized their way into a pharmaceutical company's headquarters.
The labs in our building are very well maintained, with state of the art equipment and solvent storage rooms that could keep the entire population of Slovakia high for decades (or blind, depending on what you use…kidney failure and death if you're especially adventurous with the methanol). Each lab - and there are multiple on each floor - is stocked with millions of dollars worth of equipment, with semi-automated machines doing chemistry type things that I'm probably not allowed to discuss. Remember that bit about how I could get vague? Yeah, here's an example. Hmm....I suppose I could tell you that lots of the things we do here involve lots of syllables. Oh, and acronyms. Chemists apparently like acronyms almost as much as our landscapers like fountains.
Anyway, being the only summer replacement in this building (unlike Building 98, in which one lab has six summer replacements...honestly, I’d rather buy another fancy piece of equipment for a lab than hire clueless college students, but hey, Lilly has money to spare), I actually have assignments and projects to do. I've been able to learn lots of chemistry theory and lab techniques, which would be really useful if I ever ended up on a desert island (with a $500,000 purification machine) and needed to purify myself some, say, linezolid lest I die to an inexplicable MRSA infection. Even though I haven't had chemistry since high school, the lab techniques were very interesting, and I liked learning the theory behind them all (and playing with the machines). Hmm, one thing I really like about lab work is the fact that I get to wear a lab coat. My favorite one has a big "Stacey" embroidered across it, but I like it because it's a women's medium and fits very nicely. Oh and I also get a pair of prescription safety glasses. For free! They look pretty spiffy. You’ll be seeing me in them if you’re ever in orgo lab with me sometime.
Oh yeah, sometimes I get stuck doing things like cleaning the NMR tubes or prepping analytical samples for the CLND or whatever. Remember how I said acronyms were all the rage here? One funny thing that serves no practical purpose (but I suppose is federally mandated) is the braille writing on the elevators. Seriously? You're going to have a blind person walk into a chemistry lab? The only possible advantage I can see them having is if some blind person accidentally swigs a bottle of methanol, well hey, they're already blind so they're ahead of the curve there.
Besides my lab work, my main work involves database type business that again, I'm not allowed to discuss (because much of it is actually proprietary). Suffice to say that in order to satisfactorily complete my database work, I had to've been granted enough access to eight of the servers such that if for some reason I ever messed up the log-in three times in a row on any one of them, the entire system (globally...so like in Lilly Spain and Lilly UK, etc., as well) of the network the chemists use to do their chemist-type business would shut down until the real computer people fixed it. Apparently it would take days to fix. So I try not to do that.
Lilly also sponsors cool events like the Lilly Global Day of Service, in which almost everyone who works for any Lilly site or affiliate goes out and does community work such as plant trees, build playgrounds, read to children, etc. My team got assigned to repaint a run down building, involving two large paint-by-numbers murals on an old pool supply building. We actually did so much work (completed them, actually), that the afternoon shift, who was supposed to paint on another coat and the finisher didn’t actually have work to do, so they got reassigned to refloor an elementary school in need. The mural’s actually really impressive, I’d say, except all five of the numbers in the paint by numbers scheme were shades of blue. Pretty much anyone color blind passing by either wall are going to be seeing a swimming mess of swirling patterns, not know what was going on, and then proceed to run over a blind woman with a stroller because they weren’t paying attention to the road.
So yeah, that’s about my work experience so far. Here’s hoping the next four and a half weeks go as well as the first did. Yeah I figured out how long I’ve been here through the course of writing this blog entry. Sue me.

Hey, I'm not usually one to post games on a blog (mainly because I suck at the game...and it wouldn't be fun to watch my 110 APM fpview), but I played an entertaining and fairly nail-biting game (for me!) on Tau recently and I thought it'd be fun to share.
So yeah, obligatory low-level game, crappy players, boring game, we could've done better, I should've done ______, etc (since that always seems to pop up in these types of threads)...Whatever, it's an entertaining game I thought.
It's around a C- rank game on Tau, PvZ. Profile/match list of the accounts of the guy I played against below so we can get that out of the way:

ohai!
The newest season of ICCup just started tonight. Oh boy. Here's gonna be my daily blog about my thoughts, games, etc. of the new ICCup season, with replays and comments thrown in.
+ Show Spoiler [Day 1] + Day 1Hmmzors. My first game of the season is against an offracing Metal[x] on Python. I get absolutely demolished ...PvZ on Python cross positions, I notice his lings hanging out at the back of my expo. So what do I do? Nothing. I let them run all the way up my ramp and wreck stuff. I then get owned by 1 hat mutas ...the probe I sometimes sneak inside the other person's base was pretty useless because I wasn't expecting mutas so early. I definitely needed more scouting. After my main gets raped it's pretty much ten minutes of waiting for the inevitable. Highlights of this game: 105 APM and 5% hotkey usage. Link: http://repdepot.net/download.php?type=rep&id=8226&name=empyrean+vs+PewPewPrincess.repBut wait! We played on a melee setting! So this means I still haven't fallen below 1000 points (and Metal doesn't ruin his pristine 1v1 record)! Hoorayzors! I just joined one of Kwark's games but he banned me because I wasn't D+ :[ Still 1000 at 0-0. Rated game one:I also ended up losing my first rated game of the season against some random Zerg player. Macro fest that I eventually lost because I have shitty macro (and no Templar when I need it) on Destination. Hmm, I know I needed to have expanded since both my bases ran out of money. I also should've macroed more (lol@four digit resources) and included Templar in my midgame army instead of desperately making them at the end. Also I should've gotten more gates. Neither of us played very well, me especially. If I keep playing like this I don't know how I'll ever make it past D+. Link: http://repdepot.net/download.php?type=rep&id=8250&name=bubbadub+vs+empyrean.repRated game two:The second rated game I played today was against a user from TL.net who recognized my aka! Hoorays ...It was against DREAM-JOY, who was wearing an SCL tag for use on SC2GG's Starleague. Boring PvT on Python with sloppy play from both sides. My resources climb pretty high this game as well, but it's still not as awful as the first game. Watch my resources hilarious reach 1000+ as I micro my failure Reaver drop. lulz. Also watch for my first failure storm drop. I stay on two gates for the longest time (need to start adding gates!) And the entire game I never get past six gates. That's one of my biggest problems, I think, adding gateways. Somehow I end up winning this game ...just watch, it's probably the more interesting of the rated games (though my first loss against Metal[x] is pretty entertaining), although I will admit it was pretty one-sided. Link: http://repdepot.net/download.php?type=rep&id=8251&name=empyrean+vs+SCL-Deano.repIf anyone would mind watching some of the replays and giving me some advice, it would be appreciated. This isn't a strategy forum thread, so I'm ok doing that, right?
Day 2!
...but really overflow from Day 1. Or at least, the six or so games I played from 3-4AM with Metal[x] that were basically lots of games of me getting raped when he offraces. They're packed in a .rar and contain such goodies as me getting owned by fast Lurker drops, me getting owned by proxy facs, me desperately trying to lose a game I pretty much had won (I succeeded, btw. In losing), etc. There's also one game where I win! Hoorays!...but really it's because neither of us macroed very well and he was probably getting tired as well. It was four AM for both of us. Oh, and he offraced. Again. These replays are fun if you like seeing one sided rapes. Except for the last game! Which I somehow won! lulz.
Link: http://rapidshare.de/files/45813542/lotsoflosses.rar.html
Ok, here are the real games from Day 2 of my ICCup adventure. I maintain around a 100-110 APM average, with 5%, 1%, and 2% hotkey usage. I should really get that up, it would probably help with my macro. Which sucks in all three games.
Game 1: Boring PvZ where I waste cannons on cannoning his cliff at his third (doesn't actually do anything and really, it just sets me behind). This Zerg was pretty mediocre, no offense, but you kind of have to be when you lose to my shitty PvZ.
Game 2: I get lucky with a scout, take his gas, and delay everything. He can't react. PvT.
Game 3: Same person, this time I proxy robo which throws him off some more. I think one of my awful awful trends is to get complacent when I have an advantage. For example, I pretty much suicide six Dragoons into mines and Tanks, gaining nothing out of it. I need to stop doing stupid things like that and just start consolidating my advantages. Also my macro is shit.
Links for those who are interested (but really, who the fuck wants to see a D level Protoss beating even worse Zergs or Terrans?):
Also, repdepot is messing up and keeps on saying my replays are over ten megabytes each. Which they're not. So I'm using rapidshare instead.
Game 1: http://rapidshare.de/files/45813619/0610_empyreanP_KuunAgueroZ.rep.html Game 2: http://rapidshare.de/files/45813599/0611_juyeonT_empyreanP.rep.html Game 3: http://rapidshare.de/files/45813614/0612_empyreanP_juyeonT.rep.html
Somehow I'm at 4-1, although I played some pretty awful people today. Expect my ranking and score to go way down soon. 1470 [D].

Empyrean, Nov 18 2008
Hey! So for those of you who know who I am, I used to play BW back in 2002-04, and quit for a while. For some reason, I decided to get back into the game. I've never done competitive ladders or anything, but hey, this is pretty fun. So why the hell not.
I made an ICCup account. The seasons ends at the end of November, so I have about two weeks to achieve my goal of C-. Which I say is pretty lofty, considering it's rare that I ever break three digit apm in a game. But still, if I play enough, I figure I can hopefully get close to C-...or at least D+.
So here's an epic blog that'll be updated daily with battlereports and thoughts of my games, as well as one daily replay that I have selected for your viewing pleasure. Keep in mind it's not anything high level, but hey, why not watch my progress along the way
I'm doing this from four years of inactivity. The only BW I have played in years is pretty much UMS, and a few lans where we play about 2 1v1s, then start RW/TMM/evolves (lol)/shit like that/watching GOM at 4 in the morning. So yeah, this'll be like the progress of a completely nubcake into the world of competitive SC Ladders.
Keep up with my progress at
http://www.iccup.com/iccmatchlist/434914/
and
http://www.iccup.com/iccscprofile/434914/
Initial perceptions
Oh shit. Logging into the channel (took me a while because I'm a completely retard and couldn't figure out that my password wasn't the one for b.net), I'm immediately greeted by a sea of red icons. I click on each. 2000. 2500. 1500 points. Yeah, not looking good...I'm pretty intimidated at this point. So anyway, at least the server was kind enough to give me a generous 1000 points to start with. I figure it's just about the only time I can stay at four digits worth of ranking...though I can always reset later.
Replay of the day will come at the end of each day.
So I check the game list. And I join my first official ICCup match of my life.
Day one games:
Five games today. Two PvZs, two PvTs, and a PvP. I'm not sure what to think of how ICCup does skill levels. One of the D Zergs I played had 41 APM, rushed to hive in his main, didn't expand once, and built eight sunkens and three spores at his main. It was an obvious rape. The other D Zerg completely outclassed me with 200 apm (vs. my 98), outplayed me at every encounter, and pretty much did a Chill vs. Salv. At least I had some decent attacks at his nat, delaying him a bit, but in the end he just overran me. I managed to last just over thirteen minutes.
The Terran were awful. One of the Terran was C- and had 3xxx points, but he advertised the game as a D-/D game on LT. I asked him about it in the lobby and whether or not he was training an offrace, but just stayed silent and was random. I'm hoping his main wasn't Terran, because it was awful. Unit composition, scouting, "attacks", etc. All absolutely terrible. Hell, I managed to kill two SCVs with my scouting probe, so by this point, I knew he couldn't've been very good. The farthest he managed to get was almost to my nat with three vultures before he was completely run down by the fact that I had triple the number of bases. He managed to get his nat, but kept on losing SCVs to storm on the cliff and never bothered to clear out the templar. I got triple forges, upgraded to 3-3-2, and when he tried moving out with his main force, ran into my 1a2a3a4a5a6a while he had 8 clumped sieged tanks, 14 or so Vultures, and gg'd after I stormed all his tanks at once with my two templar. He had gotten more units, of course, but they kept on dying because I'd go in and abuse the fact that he had no positioning skills at all. Probably lost more Tanks and Vultures combined than I did Dragoons throughout the course of the entire game. Again, an utter rape.
The other Terran was some D who tried some weird bio build on Medusa, but didn't get farther than 8 Marines, 2 SCVs and a Tank movine out of his base before he ran into my 2gate range build, getting utterly crushed. It didn't help that I had sniped four marines before his first tank with my first Dragoons. Once I got into his main, he got desperate and started freaking out or something, because for some inane reason he thought two medics and two firebats would fare well against eight dragoons. They didn't. Though to give him some credit, he did continually build tanks. They just died to Dragoon fire :/
The PvP was the best game, and it was a back and forth match on Python. The P was D rank, I believe, but besides the 200 apm Zerg, was the best opponent I fought of the night. I opened Reavers to his DTs, and managed to get a 19 kill Reaver and a 17 kill Reaver because he was distracted by my 1a2a-ing of my army into his. I didn't know he had went DT originally as he hid his Citadel, but in my last foray into his base (two Zealots breached into his base), before they died, I had caught a glimpse of a Templar Archives and decided to throw up an Observatory. Very, very lucky for me, very, very unlucky for him. After that, he did a 4 gate power goon build, and ended up breaching my base with six or so Dragoons when I had just about nothing. When that happened, I was flipping shit because I had lost the game, but by some stroke of luck, managed to hold on. In a later attack of his, he killed my expansion, but somehow, I held on again, and ended up winning the game.
The replay of it is attached below. Don't expect super solid mechanics from me, as I honestly am not good at all at Starcraft and I'm still rusty (even for my crappy self). But still, I'd like to hear your thoughts on the game, what I can do to improve, etc.
Empyrean (P12) vs. angeluz (P9) on Python:

After day 1: Rank: 1430. Record: 4-1. Average APM: High nineties. Depressing, really...I don't hotkey my gates or nexuses, and when I do hotkey my gates, instead of 1z2z3d4ding, I just manually select them and build them from there. It's kind of pathetic, I probably have around 5% hotkey (too lazy to check!)
Much better than I had anticipated. I expected to get steamrolled by D level players, but I managed to beat three Ds, and a C-. I actually ended up higher than the 200 APM Zerg who beat me. Unexpected twist!
And, since I'm a busy college student (If I complete my program of studies, I'll literally be the first double major in Statistics and Biology at Duke), I don't have much time to train, so I'll only probably play less than five games a night. But still, I'm looking to improve! Haha.
Looking forward to day 2 ...though I'm dreading that this period of beginner's luck won't last.
Day two games:
As expected, I did worse today. I mean, not terribly worse, but I lost my first two games today, freaked out, and won my next four. None of the games were replay worthy, though. Both of the losses were just poor play on my part, one of them being opening 1gate tech PvP against a 10/12 gate lot opening on Medusa (I don't know what I was thinking...I can only hold this build vs. a 10/12 gate when I have a ramp) and the other being the fact that I absolutely blow PvZ and it was the first time I'd played Bluestorm in my life. He just ran me over with a 9 pool build...but at least I haven't lost to any D-'s yet, so I think I'm comfortable saying that I'm at least D- skill level.
Hooray!
The wins were very uhh...pedestrian. Three PvPs and a PvZ. The Zerg I played against kept on warning me he'd disc, disced three times (found out that I didn't Alt+F4 or something, and played on. Three times. Annoying as fuck. I basically 1a2a3a steamrolled him over, especially since he had fewer expansions than I did the whole game. He finally ended up discing for real. I checked his stats afterward and now he has 2 points and a 4-50-0 record. I can't believe I wasted twenty minutes on that.
The PvP wins were just me opening 1 gate tech to 10/12 gates while putting down a shield battery at my ramp. I think this discourages people from rushing, because no one actually ended up attacking so I ended up with a tech advantage. I always scout crossmap, and on one game got lucky, we were opposite positions on Python and I capped his gas. So he went gate>gate>forge. I could've won earlier if I had scouted more, because he expanded immediately afterward. Oh well. In the two straight up PvPs I played, I took my Reaver with my army, and it was very effective. I also Reaver dropped someone and had a 23 kill Reaver, but this was after his army got obliterated.
The last PvP was somewhat interesting, but not really worth sharing the replay because he played like shit. It was on Medusa (I don't have the best luck with that map), but he went Forge first and I guess he wanted to try something cutesy like. By now I had learned my lesson, and opened 2gate goon, but built a Zealot just for kicks. He decided to cannon my main minerals (Bifrost style), but that utterly failed because I had a pylon there. But he decided to try and do it anyway. I ended up building three gates on his high ground, and 5gate range gooned him to death. He didn't even get to build a cybernetics core. It was pathetic.
So yeah, second day of ICCup didn't give me any good games. All the games were pretty much one sided rapes (the wins and the losses) and unfortunately, I didn't get to play any C-'s because when I tried to join the game they made me leave. I guess I wasn't worth their time. Whatever.
Points: 1710. Record: 8-3-0.
LT: 2-0 Python: 4-1, Medusa: 2-1, Blue Storm: 0-1.
PvZ: 1-2, PvP: 4-1, PvT: 2-0.
APM of my games today (and results): 96L, 95L, 93W, 92W, 86W, 97W. So I didn't break three digits today, and throughout my entire ICCup experience, only broke it once, at 102 APM.
For your entertainment, here is a screenshot of my hotkey use:

Apparently I didn't even 1a2a3a, because I never got to the "3a" part of it.
Still going strong, I guess. Hopefully I can continue this trend.
...now I need to work on two problem sets due tomorrow, so I probably won't play at all tonight until lateish. Wish me luck! :D
More of day two
Ok, so I lied. I played some more...and it was my worst showing yet (mainly because I played against mostly Zerg). Nothing too exciting, though all of the games were certainly fun. I decided that PvZ pretty much sucks ass, so I 6 pylon 6 gated every game after a while in each PvZ. They were all horribly ineffective, as for some reason Zerg just love to 9 pool now. What happened to 12 hat 11 pool? Fuckdamn. Anyway, in one of the games my 6 pylon 6 gate somehow ended up winning, but it was only after midgame rolled around and I 1a2a3a'd into him. :/
Some interesting stats:
Average APM still hovers in the 90 range. I also am 4-0 on Lost Temple...maybe a sign that I'm more used to the oldschool maps haha...I need people to teach me Medusa/Andro/Blue Storm/etc. Hell, I even got lost on Longinus. I think map knowledge and adapting builds to them is a large part of what I'm missing.
I'm 2-4 PvZ, which means I have a 33% win rate against Zerg. Ouch. I'm 5-2 PvP, and 3-0 PvT. PvP is definitely my favorite match up, but only when it builds into midgame (aka I don't get bumrushed on maps that don't have ramps). I pretty much need ramps to function. Also every single Terran I've faced completely sucks balls.
Something I've noticed: Whenever I join game lobby, I immediately choose race to P. People have a bad habit of staying random until the last second and then choosing Z because they are absolute cuntbags. Do they think I don't notice? Why don't you just straight up choose Zerg? Hell, next time someone does that to me, I'm timing the game until 1:50, telling them they're dickwads, and leaving.
So lessons learned today: I have no map knowledge, and I massively suck against Zerg.

More of day two...though it's technically day three since it's past midnight here
So I logged on. Played a PvT that I had the advantage in, but Fakesteve logged on and I didn't want to keep him waiting so I left. Lulz. I got utterly raped by a sleepy/slow Fakesteve, but he helped me a lot afterwards helping me a lot with PvT (well, one facet, anyway). Really grateful ...I then lost a PvP, and the other player just completely outclassed me (180 apm as well...wtf).
In the end, I ended up using the PvT build Fakesteve taught me and utterly destroyed some random Terran, even with my many, many mistakes. It's just a beastly build, even with my 82 apm that game. So hooray.
All in all, I went 1-2 (in the rated games), keeping up my trend of steadily decreasing my point gain. I ended up having the same rating, though my stats suffered a bit. 12 - 8 - 0.
Looking forward to tomorrow!
Day three:
Went like 1-5 today. Really shitty performance. Anyway, I'm off to class so I'll give a more detailed summary later tonight! Rating like 1700ish.
Quick after dinner update: I rallied back today, ended up at 1973....so I'm almost at D+ rank! Hooray! My PvP record finally slipped to the negatives, though, I'm 6-7 PvP...7-3 PvT though. Also I finally lost a game on Lost Temple, so I'm 4-1 there. Still averaging 90ish APM...I hit a new record, though, 126, but that was because the game got hopelessly laggy.
Also, I've noticed that lots of D rank Terrans seem to disc after I reaver drop. What assholes.
More detailed summary coming up later tonight! :D
More of day three, including an important event!
So I finally convinced teh leet newb to play after months of inactivity. He's on dota a lot now because he is a whore. There, I said it. Anyway, we played two games on Luna, a PvP and a ZvP (yes, I played Zerg). The PvP was fairly uneventful, as his crappy CMU internet (haha, ironic) connection lagged out so he disced. When he disced, I think we had just started our respective expos, I had 4 goons/2 reavers/shuttle and he had 8 goons, so I'm not sure who would've won. The ZvP was hilarious because in every single ZvP before this one, he had shut me down with Corsairs and I just flipped the shit and couldn't react with my hydras fast enough. This game I ended up opening 9 pool, killing his pylon with my first six lings, getting spire and then scourging his sairs, mass expoing while playing sunken defense while 1a2a3a4a5aing Zerglings into his base. Didn't even get out of his nat. Absolutely rape hahahaha :D...he left before Ultras came. I only build Drones/Ovies/Lings/Scourge that game, it was hilarious.
Anyway, for the last game that mattered, it was a PvR(Z) on Python. I had shitty luck and scouted him on the last location, so I had already taken a 12 gas when I realized, oh shit, that he was Zerg. I also let him sneak lings into my base and kill the pylon powering my two gates, but uhh, I opened blind Reaver and was able to defend. Lucky lucky me. At one point I think I had over 1k minerals, but it ended up tapering off. I 1a'd into his base after some harass to seal the deal.
D+.

Day 4:
Only one game so far, against a 180 APM Protoss. I had less than half that. Anyway, it was a game on python, I opened 2gate range goons>obs (even though I knew he was cross map) he did 1gate tech. Minor skirmishes here and there, but I got an earlier expo up, so I was able to macro off of 5 gates to his three, eventually expanded again and was 7 gates by the end to his three. I ended up reaver dropping quite a bit, with 23 probe kills. He got a shuttle and two reavers along with 8ish goons in our first major battle and I had 8 goons 4ish lots, but his Reavers were absolutely useless and I killed them both. I ended up a moving into his expo, which he prompty canceled. I just macroed some more, 1a2aing into his expo to keep him on his toes, and in our last battle, the 23 probe kill reaver ended up with five dragoon kills as well because he completely sucks at dragoon vs. shuttle/reaver micro like you wouldn't believe. Even with his 180 apm.
Rating: 2223 Stats: 19 - 14 - 0.
That win evened up my PvP stats again, making it 7-7. 3-4 PvZ, 8-3 PvT.
So this evening rolled around and I logged onto ICCup for some more fun. Basically, I played three games against random players and won them all. I hosted all three on Luna, a map I actually know, so as not to be raped by maps like Medusa or Blue Storm, etc. Apparently one of the people recognized me from TL.net and he was D+ as well, so I was a bit intimidated. Luckily he was a Terran ;D
Anyway, I played a decent enough PvP against some other Protoss. Actually it was kind of one-sided as well, aka he never got outside his base with anything other than a Probe. Literally. Oh well. What sucks now that I'm D+ is that I have to play against D+s if I want to get 100 points per win. Winning against Ds just gives me 75 points only, so with this increase in difficulty of playing field, well, I'm not looking forward to it much. But at least I've affirmed to myself that I'm better than D rank, something I was never actually sure of
Rating: 2448. Stats: 22 - 14 - 0. I evened up my PvZ record to 50%, at 4-4. Still, the Zerg I played today was pretty awful. And I have a positive record against Protoss again, at 8-7. Terran is still 9-3, or a 75% win ratio. Most D/D+ level Terrans are awful, and even the C- Terran (whose loss to me made him drop down to D+ haha) I faced was bad. The Terrans who beat me did so pretty convincingly, so they must've been better than their rank indicated. Oh well.
Onto day five soon! And on a side note, I'm playing a bo9 series with ghostclaw (waterGHOSTCLAWdragon) with one game in each match up so that should be pretty fun. I won't bore you guys with the details of that here, though
