La-Mulana is a game where you pretend to be an archaeologist exploring a massive set of monster-infested ruins. It is a 2D platformer in the style of Super Metroid or the newer Castlevania games. There are lots of puzzles in every area and lots of traps that will kill you if you are foolish enough to set them off. It is also stupidly, frustratingly hard.

Mount and Blade: Warband is a game where you pretend to be a knight and hit poor people with a sword. You are an adventurer in the land of Calradia, where kingdoms are always fighting each other and peasants are always being looted, murdered or otherwise bandited. There are castles to siege, criminals to hunt, wenches to backhand, and other medieval themed good times.

I heard a sound from my bag. The crayons were calling me. Here are some crayon drawings I did and thought I would share with the internet. They were all expertly crafted using a 24 Crayon Box and a pen.

This first piece was inspired by the delightful Closed forum. It seems that recently everyone has been talking about the Infestor, so I decided to show his side of the story...

Dungeons of Dredmor is one of the best games I have ever played. I have spent at least 300 hours playing it, if Steam is to be believed. I don't regret it at all. It's a rogue-like, which means, if you happen to be unfamiliar or illiterate, basically a turn-based action-oriented role-playing door-smashing sort of thing. Essentially, you walk around a dungeon and beat mutant duck...

I thought I would share some of my first impressions of the game and my very short experience with the Berzerker class on Elite Hardcore (elite is the hardest difficulty). After that I'll talk a little about some of the neat things in the game and answer any questions you might have.

Recently it has come to my attention that I have no goals in life. It seems like everyone except me has goals and would like to become a progamer doctor or the next astronaut president. I realized that I don't have any goals of any kind. I thought I had a goal of becoming amazingly fit and attractive, but I realized that I would rather eat whatever I want...

I've never played this game or investigated anything about it, aside from a few random screenshots and the witch trailer. Hopefu...

It seems like Diablo 3, Path of Exile, and/or Torchlight 2 aren't going to be out any time soon, so I thought I would try writing something in the meantime. The last Diablo 2 Adventure was easily the most popular thing I've ever written, (although that's out of about 4 things) so it wasn't very hard for me to decide what to write about next. I don't have any genre-changing plans in mind, so thi...

One of the core pieces of understanding Buddhism is practicing meditation. Meditation is one of the most important things y...

Preface: I know they made a new one blah blah blah shut up I don't care.

Bionic Commando for NES is one of the classics of gaming. It is a classic because it embodies the platform genre. It has simple, fun gameplay with an interesting concept that separates it from other similar games. The concept is this: You can't jump, instead you use a magic grappling hook secret bionic arm to swing...

Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse is a true classic in every sense of the word. It is a standard to which other platform games are measured, like Super Mario Bros 3 (which is also coincidentally the third game in the series). The game length, replayability, graphics, music, and difficulty are all of the highest quality.

In Castlevania 3, you play as Trevor Belmont, master vampire hunter, b...

It seems like no matter what the terran is doing, he is going to have the correct units to kill a hellion drop because hellions are useless against marauders, vikings, banshees, thors, and siege tanks (to name a few lol).

You can't actually fight back against the monsters so it makes it a wee bit scary having to run and hide like a little girl. Did the monster see you hide behind the boxes? Is it dark ...

I was a lower platinum zerg, and gold terran at the moment, if that sort of thing is important to you. This isn't really about balance or strategy and more about how I feel about playing the game in comparison to BW.
