Hi, if the blog title stuck out for you I could use your help I have recently been reading about Turing Machines and I find the incredibly interesting. Are there any books, or preferably online texts that you could recommend me? Introductory level stuff (but preferably university level) would be great.
For those that aren't familiar with Turing, he was a genius that paved the way for the modern computer. He helped Great Britain and the the allies by doing nothing less than cracking the Enigma, and was subsequently rewarded with humiliation for his homosexual tenancies. His creation, Turing Machines, are beautifully simple yet incredibly complex (sort of like Starcraft ) abstractions. Some links to introduce you to this great man:
His Wikipedia Page
Turing Machines on Wikipedia - the math language used in this may scare you; it does me.
Johm Conway's Game of Life, which has similarities to Turing Machines, and is amasing.

Concert's in almost 8 hours. I can't wait. If anyone sees a guy with a death clock (lolpun) drawn on his chest, it's me.
For the nonTorontonians, who here watches Metalocalypse? I've only seen clips of it because I can't seem to find full episodes online (I'm a tard with this stuff), and never remember to or can't stay up late to watch it. The clips are brilliant though.
