I just commentated this amazing game. Please give me your thoughts and how I can improve as a commentator. Updating with speed commentary give me a sec and I'll repost the link.
We did 4 matches tonight but I sincerely apologize for the lag issues and the computer problems. My parts were suppose to have been in today but they didn't arrive and will be here tomorrow. My computer will have quad cores and DDR3 RAM to help make the stream as smooth as possible. As for the internet, I will be calling my IP tomorrow and ask them what was going on with my connection.
I am sorry for the terrible quality of the streaming tonight and I take full responsibility. Kenny and I both hope you'll forgive us this week and we'll see you back next week.
I SWORE somebody made a thread that was hosting all the Hwaseung House pictures made by Atrioc. Search isn't helping me since Hwaseung and House are too broad of words. Does anybody know the specific thread?
Edit: I will update the OP each time when a new comic is released.
So I noticed that when I streamed SC for JTV was chugging just a little bit which caused some people to not enjoy the stream as much. (Besides the commentating. =p) I'm not sure if it was JTV's fault or mine but I figure if I'm lagging at all Processor wise for just normal SC. It's time for an upgrade.
I'm trading in my AMD 64 Athlon X2 Dual Cores for this.
I'm still on Windows Vista 32-bit but I'm working on getting Windows 7 64-bit.
I am should be more then ready to stream SC2 now. What are your guy's thoughts? I'm more curious about how Windows 7 will handle more then anything else. I've been reading mixed reviews.
Edit: Oh wow. Same thread going on in General about the same Processor I just bought. Crazy.
So I wake up at 2am Thursday morning and drive the 2 and a half hours to Portland only to get stuck in some bad traffic the last 15min., which causes myself to run through the Airport as fast as I could to catch my plane to Denver.
Airport security, all up in arms over the latest bomb scare threat from that douchebag in Denver, decide that I'm a threat and pulled me out of line. 40min. later they let me go when they realized I'm not a threat but a SC Nerd and now my plane is gone. I head to the customer service desk to ask for helping getting on the next flight.
Since I didn't get the ticket insurance or whatever the fuck it's called. I ended up being FINED for not making my flight. I had to pay another $100 in order to board the next flight to Denver. I argued a good hour about how I was pulled out of line and that I would have made my flight blah blah blah but no go. Fuck you Frontier Airlines and Portland Security.
Friday - 25th
I arrive at 12:30am instead of arriving at 5pm the previous day. Let's say I'm short on sleep, jet lagged and still pissed off about the earlier bullshit. But I'm in New York now and I board a super shuttle and head to the hotel where the SC USA players are at. I end up in Idra and Nyoken's room. I <3 them much for the floor.
At around 9am or so we all head out and get breakfast and meet up at the Center. Man. After thinking myself a nerd for so long, I was just blown totally out of the water by how normal I really am. Those anime people are fucking freaks. Guys dressing up as girls. Girls dressing up as guys. wtf?
Oh, and the convention people wouldn't let ANY WCG players in to practice BEFORE normal attendees because they didn't want to cause bad press. Fucking retards. So at 10am the place opens up and the first SC games start at 10:30am. Fun times were had watching the games and meeting fellow SC comrades.
Bruce, whose last name I can't remember but has hosted a ton of WCG Events, was going to cast SC and asked me to join him on the Stage after Inc told him I was a SC Caster. So the both of us commentated Inc vs Louder Round 1 Games 2 and 3 off of Replays. It was alot of fun!
I was also asked to commentate the WC3 games as well since they didn't have any casters for that. I ended up with a guy named Jeff. He was awesome. We had fun making small jokes at how lame early game WC3 games are.
At 6pm'ish all the SC players are done and we decide to go out and eat. EG asked everybody to come along and SirScoots was kind enough to pay for everybody's meals. Fun times! Thanks Scott!
Then Inc, Machine, Unc and I went and saw Surrogates. Pretty good Movie.
Saturday - 26th
Repeat of Friday pretty much. SC players played. I commentated when Bruce needed me for SC and WC3.
We had the players party at the ESPN-Zone at around 9pm or so. I had just eaten Dinner with LuckyFool, StorrZerg, and G5 at a nearby diner and was slightly tingled by the Vodka and Redbull I had. I was very disappoint when the Bar at the ESPNZone only served Vodka and Tonic's. Still good because Vodka is awesome but I like my V and R's. Oh well. I had 3 or 4 of those. It was an awesome night of talking to nerds and hanging out. I went 4-0 in Air Hockey. Beating Artosis, Gretorp, Machine and some other person before losing to a guy that bragged he did that kind of stuff "professionally". Was still a close game. I lost 4-5.
Sunday - 27th
Oh man. I had a pretty bad headache but the SC Finals were at like 10 or 11am so I still got up early to check out with Idra and Nyoken and head to the Javits Center. After the games between Idra and Louder were played, I had the honor to cast those games with the great Artosis. I know I'm not nearly as good at it as he was but it was still fun. We drew a good sized crowd.
After that all the SC guys except for I think LzGamer and Inka went out to eat some food at a nearby diner and just talked. Came back to watch the EG CS team pull an amazing comeback to win first place. Was fun to watch.
Sunday night we all stayed in Colbi's hotel and played Poker and stayed up till like 2am in the morning just being nerds.
Monday - 28th
I left at 4am on a super shuttle back to the airport. Slept on both flights and then drove home. Got back about an hour and a half ago. I'm sicker then a dog and chicken noodle soup is good.
It was a fun time and it was great to hang out with all my friends again and meet Lz and Nyo for the first time, among the other SC nerds out there! Was great! Hope to do it all again next year!
On the wonderful device known as Ventrilo, I was called a "fucking D- newbie" by FakeSteve's sister. Naturally, I'm the kind of man that back hands such intolerable speech. I challenged her to a game where I would only use my Mouse to do everything and not use the keyboard at all. No grouping, no hotkeys. Nothing. FakeSteve WAS allowed to coach his Sister in the games against me. I recorded these FPVods to show that I would not cheat.
This is Game 1. Enjoy.
Now after that, FakeSteve decided to make it a Bo3. To be fair.
