So it's been about of month of no Iccup and I decided to play some Terran. I tried toss for a while and it sucked so I'm staying with Terran.

I joined some D python game and my opponent was D-. Since my high rank is C I thought it would be easy win. Game lasts over 20 minutes and I lose..
I know my play is pretty shitty from inactivity but I didn't think that I could lose to some D- protoss ever. I'm actually shocked right now.

Rep Link
Is that really D- level? Holy crap things have changed this last month.

Well I'm going to start playing Protoss for a while.
I've hit C with Terran and Zerg now but don't really feel like playing iccup too much. So I will learn the basics of Protoss playing against a comp and then see where it goes from there.

Thoughts:
PvT: Probably going to play the old carrier style late game instead of the recent arbiter trend. Not much interesting play to incorporate here. Maybe play storm heavy into carrier transition? Weird but I'll see how that goes.

PvZ: Incorporate the Dark Archon into my standard play.
PvP: I dont know anything about this matchup so I'll think about it later.

I've never been a big fan of Protoss and I barely know builds. Hopefully playing this will help develop my vP matchups. If anyone feels like playing you can msg me here and I'll hop on icc. Protoss skill is like D right now.

Hey everyone this is post 2500 and it has been about 5 months since I have posted. Yup it has been a long time and I'm finally giving up my self ban. My blog prior to this had set a goal for B- yet I did not play nearly enough to get even close. So now high school is over and I am returning to my addiction. This blog is basically a compressed version of all the posts I would have made over those 5 months.

So.. Let's start with my playing Starcraft.
Over the course of those 5 months, I only played about 100 ladder games. Half with Terran and the other with Zerg.
For the first week after my self ban, I played maybe a dozen games with zerg. I just got bored and decided to quit playing Starcraft on ladders. I played the occasional Play/Obs on Bnet or UMS but nothing too serious. During this time I tried out WC3(zzz...), and picked up D2(quit before my addiction could truly kick in).

That lasted until early/mid April. I started playing with a few different clans but they were not too active. At this moment however, I am very happy with my clan so that keeps me somewhat active. From Mid-April to Mid-May (clanless or with inactive clan) I played about 40 games as a Terran and stayed at the 2900-3200 pt range. Playing Terran became somewhat boring so I picked up Zerg. Getting past the C- range took about 40 games and that is where I stand at the moment, C.

ZvP has been pretty fun to play as Hydras are my all time favorite unit. This 5hatch Hydra is the reason I stayed as zerg after switching over. ZvT at C- is pretty simple and not many at this level play Mech. Some people try to copy Leta and his cute wraith shit but they can't win with it.
So I am still trying for B- but with the extra time summer break brings, I won't be losing much actual gaming time.

Ok, next is school.
I'm heading off to Case Western next year so that should be a lot of fun. Anyone from TL in the Cleveland area? I looked at the User Location thread and I didnt see any Clevelanders but maybe some are lurking around here. Well hopefully every college bound senior is as excited to go off as I am.

Progaming Scene:
First off I would like to say... what the fuck fantasy? That was probably the most depressing moment for me in progaming these past 5 months. Ya I am talking about his loss to Jaedong in the OSL. I wanted Fantasy to win sooooo bad and he losses out on a 2-0 lead. Hmm what else. Bisu has been super exciting to watch and Violet's recent games have been shocking. He is the only Protoss I have ever watched that reminds me of Bisu.

TvZ/ZvT isn't really as interesting as it used to be. Wraith play is awesome but Mech is balls to watch. The only games I watch here have Leta. Baby's play is cute but losing horribly in the mid game after awesome harass is kind of dumb. It seems like Nada is having Baby play outside his current limits. Lastly, oh man Airforce.

And trying to find progaming news without Teamliquid has been horrid. Luckily I can read/understand some Korean so afreeca is usable. Gosugamers is hell to navigate and truly makes me appreciate the live report threads/recommended games thread/tlpd. So basically i could watch games on youtube but was exiled from any news in the scene. Like, I had no idea that Nony returned from Korea long ago. I actually started lurking the tl forums in May but resisted the urge to post until now. I neither made a new account nor clicked the login button before today. So at least one good thing came from my attempt.

Other:
Evony sucks. That shit was so time consuming even in the early stages of the game so I quit.
I am no longer excited for Sc2. Maybe once they post an actual release date I will be again.
That mogulus streaming is fucking awesome.
How did Konadora get so many posts?
Damn.. I still haven't bought any starcraft related shirts, not even a TL one.

So ya that is it. There is probably alot of sc thoughts roaming in my head but these came out first.

Well Teamliquid is so addictive that I've decided to limit how often I visit. 0 times! I've tried this before but basically said that I would never visit again (obviously it didn't work). However, this time I have set a limit for how long I am to stay away. That length is however long it takes me to reach B- on iccup!

Teamliquid has hindered my playtime due to how addictive it is. If I never found it, all the hours I spent reading it would have gone into play time. Now that I <3 teamliquid so much, it will act as a motivator for me to finally reach my goal level.

I assume it will take several months to a year to go from C- to B- but I intend to speed that up as best as I can.
So my overall goal is B-, zerg, 3 months. Staying away from teamliquid is going to be hard, but it is for the best. If I am able to keep away for that long, the school year will be basically over and browsing teamliquid won't hurt me as it does at the moment.

I'm also saving my 2500th post for when I return! Bye

Is the most fucked up movie I have ever seen.
Movie Link
The link above is if you want to watch it. You have to register, but its not that big of a deal since you can watch other stuff too.

I don't remember when this came out. Maybe it is because I was too young to care in 2000, but I've never even heard about this before today.
Was just randomly browsing through the movies on Hulu and decided to watch this one. Not even sure if that was a good choice or a bad one.

Anyone have movies you remember that had a similar effect?

After playing with zerg for a while on ICC, I decided to go back to Terran and see how I would fare.
Last blog was about my first time getting D+ and this one is about my first ever C-!

Record as Terran: 19-6
TvZ: 8-3
TvP: 5-3
TvT: 6-0

TvZ: I open up 2rax almost always now because of how many times I use to lose to 9 pool. Late game is getting better, but dealing with ultras still blows. 1 Lategame loss in the 3 I have here which is pretty good.

TvP: I have improved somewhat and can win macro wars at D+. All 3 losses were from being outmacroed. I tend to use my scans way too much and lose units unnecessarily to a few dts.

TvT: Yay undefeated here. I just seem to be able to play well in this mu. My play basically revolves around center control and small harassment into contain.

So ya I'm just happy that I've hit C- and am going to try for C now. Still looking for Blue rankings by the end of next season.

I'm looking for a clan as well and so are some of these people

First off..
I'm looking for a Terran practice partner around D to D+ level. I just want to practice with someone at my level who won't bunker rush me or do some gay proxy crap.

or..
Are there any D level clans around?

Finally after my last blog, I started playing Zerg. I went on ICCUP and played 18 games in the past 2 days!! I've never played more than 10 games on any icc account until now and I got to D+ for the first time ever!

I suck horribly and really need to practice more. Looking for a solid blue rank by the end of next season (ya I can dream)
Record: 11-7 (ZvZ 3-1) (ZvP 4-3) (ZvT 4-3)

Zerglings have become my best friend in all my matchups, really.
ZvZ, I haven't made 1 mutalisk yet.
ZvP,win from zergling runby and another from a drone drill.
ZvT, 3 wins with 2 hatch lings. Was 2 hatch mutaing all three times, but they gave me too much of an opening.

edit: Sry if I sounded like an ass in this blog. It sounded like someone was mocking me in the game I played, so I'm guessing it was due to this post. Really am sorry
