"When God gives you lemons, you find a new god."
So i put a copy of starcraft on every computer in Cooper Union, my college, and played on bnet, against friends, and kicked off tournaments.
But once in a while, I get bored with struggling to win or standard TvP. So after a few hours of games and practice, I turn on my noob-stomping account and screw around with off-races and stuff.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the first replay of my career path to dominate my tiny school (and portions of bnet noobs).
"HALARIOUS WRAITH TVP"
http://repdepot.net/replay.php?id=25477
I knew i was up against a noob from stats, and I decided, hey im gona go two port wraith against a toss (something you should NEVER do, btw) and see how much dmg I can idealy put out.
0:00 - right off the bat, I screw up my noob split and gets an SCV behind minerals.
1:50 - FOUND HIM, time to own
3:00 - super late fact. cuz thats wut u should do for 2 port wraith... ?
4:00 - 2 port wraith. notice he got robo already... and soon observer came out.
so after ports up, i realized the gas doesnt work out if i do 1 tank, and try to research cloak. basically, i realized im never going to do this again. more importantly, i thought im doomed cuz the toss didn't play like a complete idiot... yet
( skip all the way to 9:15. nothing really happens before that)
I get a couple of wraiths. I predicted his army is out of position (which wasn't true... he just didnt react) and I started hitting his home. goons came, i cloak. kept on hitting his home. at this point i realized, that if my opponent is any good, this wouldn't really work. that's cool
i switched to hitting his natural after his obs came. got some kills, pulled back, expanded, get siege going. the usual. then I resend the wriaths at 9:15 to do some more harass.
As i fly toward his natural and cloaked, it was too late before i realized i was RIGHT ON TOP OF HIS GOONS. for a split second, I froze, and couldn't do anything to pull my wraiths out. then all of a sudden, i hear a SMALL BUT NOTICEABLE EXPLOSION.
a explosion that sounded alot like an observer exploding.
then, from my frozen state, my brain restarts. my eyes squinted in happiness, my face turning toward uncontrollable laughter.
HE SHOT HIS OWN OBSERVER.
it was the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING HE NEEDED.
and HE SHOT IT.
my wraiths reign supreme in his natural. kill them probes.
and i said, lozzo, this is why noob stomping is fun at the end of the day.
Today's lesson: terran can two port ANY race, assuming ideal (and sometimes over-ideal) situations.
