So a few days ago, I had my good friend Dana over, who actually introduced me to progaming and TeamLiquid at the time of the GSI (MasterDana is his account on TeamLiquid. he has a grand total of about 3 posts!)
We were messing about on the computer and I showed him a recent picture of Bisu. He commented that Bisu looked like a villain from some sort of RPG game. I disagreed, Bisu seemed more to me like a rival character, or a handsome knight. I submitted inter.Mind to be the evil villain, his angry gaze and pointy features certainly made him look evil and wizardish.
Villain?
Before long, we had created an entire fantasy RPG setting with progamers subbing into fantasy cliche's. He found it quite amusing and asked me to blog about it on TL. Out of my gratitude for him introducing me to a scene that I now put so much into, I will blog it. His set-up was quite a bit different than mine. This is the stupidest thing in the world yet we discussed it for fucking hours.
Jaedong- The Protagonist.
Jaedong does have the look of an innocent young teen about to embark on a grand adventure. Like most JRPG protagonists, he possesses immense power and the ability to brutally destroy his opponents.
Fantasy- The Archer Fantasy is the quick and agile elfen warrior from the forest who joins your party in its moment of need. His sharp pointy features and long ears hint at his elven ancestry, his skill with the bow proves it.
Stork- The Spellcaster Stork is the young and skilled magician of the town who is best friends with the protagonist. He stays with you throughout the whole adventure, a trusty companion.
sAviOr- The Badass The older and experienced mercenary who joins your party but is a sarcastic douche. Still, his powers in combat are uncontested and he ends up being one of the most dynamic and likable characters when he shows a rare moment of vulnerability later in the game
Reach- The Fighter Reach is the burly man with a golden heart. His high defense and attack statistics make him a danger in combat. In the end, he sacrifices himself to save the lives of the party and will never be forgotten; the hero Park Jun Suk.
nal_rA- The Mentor nal_rA is the legendary ex-soldier who taught Jaedong everything he knew about fighting. When he is killed by the main villain, Jaedong embarks on a quest of revenge.
BoxeR- The Emperor BoxeR is the emperor, duh
FlaSh- The Rival FlaSh is your rival from birth. While he seems to be a douche and a thorn in your side, in the end he helps you out and you become friends.
The Villain- Anytime Anytime is the evil wizard who kills your mentor and plagues the kingdom. Reach sacrifices his life to kill him in the end and peace is restored.
This is literally the dumbest blog I've ever made. Just proof of how much progaming invades my life
i should make a D&D homebrew with starcraft progamers.
Bisu is totally the badguy. Have you seen that cocky evil smirk about him? I have. And Mind is totally his 2nd in command. He's the strategist, the general.
Invert Flash and Jaedong, in my opinion!
Calm makes a way better archer than Fantasy. Fantasy looks like "leader of the town guard" sort. Maybe an engineer who makes prototype weapons for you.
I thought Jiangbi would have been the SpellCaster due to his crazy psi storms skills I keep hearing about. And perhaps Stork should be called The Commander cuz that's what I also hear ppl call him.

edit: between this obvious bisu lovefest and attempting to sell your CJ shirt, just switch to SKT1 already -_-
i really don't like him as a player, i just think he's physically attractive! Is that so wrong? Although I'm starting to dislike his personality less and less. I'll never root for him over another player though. There is honestly no one I would rather see lose.

Anytime makes a good "assassin" type of badguy.
The rest were mutually agreed upon.
Kwanro and Shine would be a generic npc guards.
Shine can't be a guard, are you kidding. Shine is like your neighborhood friend who doesn't add anything to the story but is just there.
Luxury and Yarnc could be like, evil twin assassins or something. Or Luxury is a good guy and Yarnc is his evil counterpart in Anytime's evil kingdom.

Bisu is not the big bad evil guy. The BBEG needs a commanding presence, and needs to speak with an air of dominance, bordering on insanity. Bisu...is timid and sheepish. Not villain material.
I could see him being a villain, but he doesn't seem like he has the balls to be THE villain.
If Anytime wins the fighting tournament 10 times in a row then the world belongs to him and he will have absolute power. Yellow has lost 9 out of the 10 tournaments coming in 2nd place everytime. It is up to Jaedong to win the final tournament.
Firebathero is the ghost that haunts Savior. Alwasy dancing around him to distract him while in battle.

Firebathero is the bard who plays bad music, but nevertheless happens to be useful in odd situations. He's a prankster, and doesn't take anything seriously. Obviously at odds with the badass.
Bisu is pretty easily the dark bisho fake-boss in a JRPG. Basically the sympathetic villain who has a troubled past you fight for the first 80% of the game until the true evil is revealed.

Firebathero should be Gollum hanging around constantly, always trying to steal Savior's ring.
He's too happy and energetic. Gollum's brooding, conniving personality doesn't fit him.

I'm thinking I'll be modding liquibet pictures in the next time I play an Infinity Engine game.
A BG/BG2 playthrough with all the major characters replaced with progamers would certainly be interesting.
Not content with being merely utterly useless, the comedic relief's spectacular failures cause the party no end of trouble. May or may not be the only reason the party manages to make it to their final destination.

?
edit: actually no midboss is awesome, he's more like this guy:

Nah, fOrGG is Jaedong's close ally that betrays Jaedong and whips his ass
I thought Backho and Lomo would be a pair of gay male prostitutes that fall for Jaedong, like that part in Final Fantasy 7.
Oh, I guess they already made that part.
Also you need to make the evil villian organization Gespa.
If you want you can make coach Cho Jaedong's mentor at the start and eventually final villian. Because of the contract negotiations, the attitude of Oz's former ace Anytime, and the amount of weight Oz makes Jaedong carry, I like Jaedong, but I don't necessarily like Oz's management.
What would be great if you made Anytime seem like the villian, but it turns out he's the tragic villian who was only the villian because that's what coach cho made him into before abandoning him. Then when Jaedong defeats Anytime with his dying words he tells Jaedong that he was once where Jaedong was. And that's how we find out Coach Cho is the bad guy.
When you finally fight Coach Cho you find out he has a new Ace, Killer! Coach Cho: (To Jaedong) He is greater than you could ever be, your replacement, he is like a son to me. Jaedong: Isn't that what you said to Anytime about me? Coach Cho: I'm the coach, I gotta look out for my own interest. That's why I paid you so low and you ran to your parents begging them to let you stay anyway. Jaedong: Coach, it's me Jaedong! Your boy! I took you all the way to the proleague finals and won a golden mouse. Coach Cho: With Killer I'd win the proleague finals and he will surpass even Nada in achievements. Besides what kind of name is Jaedong anyway, you can't think of a better id then your own name? I would have made you into a tyrant! But you betrayed me.
I'm just throwing out some dialogue here. I'm thinking Coach Cho could be the king they serve and the number of league victories they have could be like the number of wars they've been in. Nada could be a legendary warrior that has fought in countless wars and won. Heck teams could be different nations in the world and the team that has won the proleague grand final could be the team that rules the world.
Mensol_Zero is that badass character you get near the end of the game, who is horribly underleveled, but if you raise him his stat growths are insane and he becomes a juggernaught.
