I'm not a religious person, and I'm probably more than 51% agnostic, but sometimes things happen that make me believe there's more to the natural world than what I can comprehend.
Last week, I fell ill and was bedridden for 6 days. I actually got better after the first 3 days but then fell sick again for the next 3 until I recovered on Tuesday. On one of those days I had a very vivid dream, so vivid that I interpret it as an omen. I dreamed of a Python, a HUGE one, crawling around in my room. Usually I don't remember my dreams but this one felt VERY real and I remember most of it.
Going on a hunch, I googled 'Animals and Numerology' to see if the Snake was represented by a number. As it turns out, the Snake in Chinese astrology is represented by the number 6.
Having something of a gambling streak, I took this to mean that the number represented a 'lottery' number. And the only game I play that has numbers is Roulette.
As soon as I felt well enough, I took a bus out to the casinos hoping to see if my dreams would come true. At first I withdrew $480(withdraw limit due to a 3.50 service fee). Then I approached one of the two open roulette tables.
For those who aren't familiar with Roulette, it's a lottery game with 38 numbers(1-36 and 0 and double 00)where you are given odds based on how much you bet on those numbers. If you hit one number, you get paid 35-1. The chips are $5 each($100 = 20 chips) so if you bet 1 chip on 1 number, you win $35. On some numbers I bet as many as 6-7 chips, which would pay me >$1000 if I hit.
So putting my plan into action, I placed 5-6 chips on the number 6, and the rest on a few of my favorite numbers. It didn't hit. I buy another $100. Didn't hit again. I did this until I actually lost my entire bankroll.
A smart gambler would have left at this point, but if you've been to the casinos you would know that gamblers=/=smart. So I took out another $200 and placed ALL of it on the table.
I won. I made back my entire bankroll on that one spin. So I play again. I won again. By the end of the night, I had netted $4000. I had wom so many times on the number 6(a number that I NEVER play at roulette) and I won handsomely. I left at 3:30 am and took a taxi home. Happy and excited by what I achieved in 14 hours.
So as I sit here and type this, there's still a part somewhere in my mind that believes that the world isn't always what it appears. Maybe it was a coincidence. But you have to understand how unusual the circumstances of this coincidence was.
1. I ALMOST never remember my dream, or I never dream at all. But this time the dream was vivid and it was an animal. Something that I never think about enough anyway so how does it enter my subconscious?
2. The number 6 is insignificant to me. Some of us have lucky numbers or numbers that represent something. Mine are 2, 17, and possibly 5. The numbers that I almost always play on roulette are 5, 7, 11, 17, 20, and 32. NEVER 6.
3. I've never made this much money at the casinos before. $4000 is the most, by far, that I've ever made.

idiots like you LOL, so true. The casinos don't care whether you win or not. The more you play, the more they win.

I'm in total agreement. Thanks.

Well, I certainly think the casino cares whether I win or not. They just hope I don't win as much as I lose. But you're right, I know what people think of casinos and of gamblers.

I think that's a really interesting happen-stance! I don't believe things happen for religious or higher reasons, and the coincidence truly does play out strange situations, but the level of coincidence in your story is just mesmerizing. Definitely something you won't forget!

Haha, cool story bro. Just don't try it again... luck peters out. Also lol @ Rekrul.

Why would you stop $4000? Clearly this was all for a greater purpose, you should have at the very least tried to run it up to $100k. People do it all the time.

Next time you get a "sign" you'll go back and lose. That's what the casino expects anyway.

Well yeah gambling is really damn weird, that's why people become addicted. It seems like you had a feeling or a sign that helps you win. For me it is sometimes only that i believe i can win and it works. For instance one day when i was in the casino and had this strange feeling i should bet 11 in roulette (machine)...i had app. 100 bucks remaining and put it all on 1 number (11) and yes i won 3600 in that one spin. The whole time the roulette was spinning i kinda knew that it will hit 11 - it was really weird. Seemed like i forced some higher power to make it be 11 - really damn weird. The only thing is that one has to never be desperately wanting to win. In that case all powers of the universe will be against you.
Explanation: Machines like roulette are set that people can win, but the amount of $ won will never be higher than the amount $ spent (in total). So in conclusion one person can win a lot and it is not even "luck itself". The thing is that the machine/casino has to let you win. In my case, probably there was enough money spent, that the machine let me win and gave me 11 on purpose.
Another thing to consider: When you have any kind of feeling that you will win if you do this and you win by doing that - it feels really magical. But when you have the same feeling and you don't win, then you just take it as bad luck and forget it. Think about how many times you had the feeling and won compared to how many times you had the feeling and lost. So again there is nothing like higher power/feeling that helps you win in the lottery. Only coincidence and probability.
So yeah, Rekrul was pretty much right

Understanding your dreams isn't an easy process. There is A LOT of symbolization in dreams, but you also have to take in the fact that you might have overlooked something in that dream. A feeling, how the snake was acting towards you, etc. Snakes in dreams are usually a sign that you are going through a transformation or they can even be represented by the therapeutic symbol of the Roman god of medicine Aeseulapius, which has survived to modern times as a sign of the medical profession.
One thing I'd like to add. Roulette has the worst odds out of EVERY game in the Casino. Was this experience mere coincidence or a miracle?

Uh, close. The machine would never give you 11 "on purpose", but through statistics, the amount of money you put into a machine will never be more than the money it puts out because the expected profit you can get from a machine will be negative since the statistical odds are stacked in its favor. The power of statistics allows the machine to do what you said without resorting to cheating.

The casino probably wouldve paid your taxi fare if they knew you were gonna post this lol

The funny thing about unbelievably improbable things like this is that they do happen very, very rarely. In fact, they happen about as often as their probability would imply they should happen. Weird, eh?

But how much did you lose?
