The correct title would be "Game Music Concert" but for some strange reason I kept thinking to myself "Video Game Concert"
Anyways most of you guys know that I love Video Game Music and I'm pretty sure most who owned a console also loves video game music. My video game music collection has hit 12 gigs now and I'm goddamn proud of it. I have music of all kinds, flacs, shitty 64kb quality ones, and even Halo music (omglol). But there was something missing...
Game Music Concert CDs 1 to 5.
If you know and love video game music, you would know how fucking scarce this shit is now. Even ordering it from japan is now a hassle because even they ran out of prints. Not to mention the CDs being made 20 years ago doesn't help either. So without further ado I would like to share these 5 albums with my fellow TL netizens. It took a while and I had to even surf through taiwanese downloading websites to find these songs, but goddamn I finally did it.
Ladies and gentlemen, the greatest orchestrated Video Game Music pieces ever to emerge. Game Music Concert 1

Wizardry "Opening Theme" CD1 Starts out with a bang! Not saying the other songs are bad, but the Wizardry Opening Theme is truly a magical opening to this concert HOHOHO
4.6 Billion Year Story "In Admiration of Nature" CD2 I have never played this game, but goddamn what an unexpected golden piece. Such a great song. Starts out slow but comes in with a bang.
Seiken Densetsu 2 "Fear of Angels" CD3 The greatest piece to an opening ever. If you cannot feel chills whenever you hear this song, you sir are not a true gamer. + Show Spoiler [Song is on youtube] +
Final Fantasy VI "The Dream Oath 'Maria and Draco'" CD4 This piece has actual lyrics to the infamous FF6 Opera Scene. Beautiful. The song is incredibly welldone and the voice is great.
Super Donkey Kong "Water Music" CD5 The most memorable song in the whole DK series. If you never thought that this song was the greatest during your SNES days of playing DK, you sir need to turn that super famicon back on. I will slit your throat if you don't believe Water Stage Music is the best song from DK.
I had three of them from before but never got the last two! Never had enough incentive to go search for them though. Thanks! The songs are great, I listen to them while doing homework a lot lol (since songs with lyrics make me slower at homework).
The songs are orchestrated game music - most are not remixes (I don't think any are, but I'm not sure about some of the titles since I haven't played some of the games)
awesome blog mrhoon =] i'm assuming you already know and love ocremix? if not: http://ocremix.org/ some of the tracks are hit and miss, but download them all anyway, as well as the albums edit: oh, just realized you only want orchestral music? t.t

7 gigs of my 12 gigs are ocremix :D I LUV DEM OCREMIX
Thank you for compiling and sharing this in such an easy way. I hadn't heard of this before but it sounds like a great find. I should know most of these songs too.
If any of you have read Ender's Game, listen to the Mechwarrior 2 soundtrack and tell me how baller do you think it was listening to this soundtrack while reading the book (:
Anyone else getting a corrupt file for CD5? Doesn't matter too much for me, since i don't even recognize the song, but worth mentioning. Thanks so much for posting this, lots of fun tracks here :D

Ya, I am, but I don't even care so I didn't look more into it
I 'procured' the "Best of" album from these Video Game concerts and it's truely fantastic. The FF4 Theme of Love was stuck in my head for a good bit when I first listened to the tracks, and I'll definitely go and 'procure' the full albums when I get a chance.
I really like Fear the Heavens on Secret of Mana (I know it as this name since I played the English version). It's like what you posted but a different version I guess.

oh it's the same song, it's just that the japanese call it "Fear of Angels" rather than "Fear of Heavens" Yeah file 5 is weird... But that one corrupted song isn't that great so it's cool~

not to sound condescending or anything, but I've had all five of these albums for quite some time now thanks to private torrents, so you should have made a public request on TL or something so that I could have given it to you long before you decided to start searching obscure taiwanese websites (LOL) to scavenge for it.
Also, Hyrule Symphony was an absolutely amazing orchestral arrange of Ocarina of Time songs. I can upload the album to mediafire if anyone wants.
Holy shit this is fucking awesome! You got any good sites to find orchestrated stuff? I usually end up getting midis or going to OC remix (http://ocremix.org/) to find non-midi stuff.
Love Secret of mana as well, though I'm sorta sad there's not more Chrono trigger music. That's probably my favourite sound track from a game ever. Chrono Cross comes close. Yasunori Mitsuda <3.
Speaking of Mechwarrior 2 and books, my family bought a computer back in the windows 3.1 days, and it came with Mechwarrior 2 even though the computer COULDN'T RUN MECHWARRIOR 2. It was the worst tease ever and I ended up reading the instruction book longingly several times but I still have never played it.
