I am only just completing my placement matches as we speak, and I hope I don't get the guy who I planetary fortress rushed because I know he's going to whine about it.

Blizzard needs to combine the SEA and US servers.
There are simply not enough players.

who would think it was a fantastic deal exactly if americans had access to SEA they wouldn't want to play on it because there are fewer games , less players and a much smaller UMS pool
SEA is like the asia server on bnet 1.0 , how many westerners played on there?

I thank Blizzard for trying to get a SEA server, but it just doesn't work.

ive been playing ladder and 9/10 people are AU players i know lol
Also play the same 5 people everyday.
Sux that u have lag i thoguht the whole point of SEA was to reduce lag. i have 0 lag lol Because the server is in your country lol. But yeah, I think I saw like 2 Singaporeans in all of my friend's leagues and 90% are Aussies, with two or three kiwis here or there. Haven't spotted any fili names I recognise. The whole server is just one big Trans-Tasman tournament... It just sucks that the most active of the nations out there, and most well-connected are the ones with very small populations (Aus - 21mil, SG - 5mil, NZ - 4mil). Despite countries like Indonesia having huge populations the percentage that have access to high end PCs, decent internet or can afford the game would be much lower than other countries.
What the hell, Aus only has 21 million inhabitants? I think because of the sheer size of the country I just always assumed it would be a hell of a lot more.

That last picture. He plays yugioh?
While playing bw?

I learnt a while ago never to take the size of a country into context while assuming it's population.
Quick stats:
Australia: Size: 7,617,930 km2 (6th largest) 2,941,299 sq mi
Population: 2010 estimate 22,404,847[3] (53rd)
You then compare that with:
England: Size: Total 130,395 km2 50,346 sq mi
Population: 2008 estimate 51,446,000[5]
Yep :S

Seriously the game just doesn't flow with all the lag. I'm bored to tears.

Well, a BIG reason for SEA not having players worth a shit is because damn near everyone else is goingg "Arr ye matey let's do single player then forget about it" in their home countries. Out of around a HUNDRED friends of mine here in PH, only FIVE have bought SC2, AND NONE of them are going to ladder at all. Around ten to twenty are going the arr ye matey route, the rest are too much of WoWhags to care.
|
God it used to be like this when I was growing up in England. Now I recall the utter frustration of not being able to get online at all at peak times. At least the US does something right.

Okay, so I did a tracert and sent it to where Blizz wanted us to send it so that they could fix the problem. Here is their reply:
Thank you for contacting IAHGames support for StarCraft II. Currently Australia is the only country experiencing such lag spikes in the whole of SEA. Please contact your ISP and let them know about such issue, and to find a solution as soon as possible. Do feel free to contact us if you have any further enquiries. Regards, Jb T. Customer Service IAHgames Support For Starcraft II http://sea.blizzard.com/support
Basically, "don't look at us, go fix it your damn self." Do they even care? I suspect Blizz wants to actually fix this, but IAHGames just doesn't give a fuck. Who the hell are IAHGames anyway?
GG.
