I really don't like the guitarist... Not sure why... Love Weezer though. I can probably figure it out. Is it just one chord? Timestamp?

Then he goes into something like an Em7 (02003x) or some variation of that, into a.. A6? (54003x). These chords look kinda right. Try to play around with them. You'll get it eventually, lol.

First chord is D, then he hjits the 4th fret on A then its B, and he plays open EA strings before going into G then A (2nd fret G and 2nd fret B) not sure if he uses his thumb to play the 2nd fret on E while playing A but ther u go D 2 0 0 2 3 2 B 0 2 4 4 3 2 G 3 2 0 0 3 3 A 2 0 0 2 2 0 0 clue what the technical term these chords are called but yah

Thats a start w the chord but thats not exactly what i am looking for. I was looking for the jazz chords hes using as his version differs from the power chord progression in the link

just play around till you get the chord..you could prob just use a program to slow it down and then tune your notes to match the cords notes and bam you know the chord.. or just use your ears.

Some of us just want to play music that sounds appealing to us, then throw our own little twist on it. There is NOTHING wrong with looking up tabs or covering tabs at this stage of learning the guitar. Also, this song has slightly modified chords, its not just "PLAY A D" alot of the times. Relax. Help the guy or just don't post if its not going to be constructive.

It's very useful to be able to learn songs by ear. If you're able to find the key then you should be able to find the notes, and from there it's a matter of trying find what chord was played in what shape. I think it's well worth trying to figure out songs that way, and it's definitely a valuable skill to learn

Also the last chord sounds more like A#11 to me. Overall it would be (slightly changed the Em voicing too): 0------------X------------X------------X------------0------------0 7------------7------------7------------X------------4-------------2 6------------7------------6------------5------------0------------ 4 7------------7------------7------------7------------2------------ 3 5------------X------------X------------X------------X------------0 X------------7------------7------------7------------X------------X You're just being a musical snob. After a while you get bored and your game as a whole hasn't improved much.
