I got over it by focusing on something else and trying to not think of writing. Then one day an idea popped into my head and I was back at it. Hope this helps. Hm, maybe I should try and remove myself from art alltogether for a while. While I haven't been able to actually paint anything I constantly think about it. Maybe I'll turn my focus back to SC2 for a while . Thanks for the advice.

I think is best you to think that is not a mental block but only a "free time/vacations" call whatever you want, just keep going and show thing gonna show you. But if you want fast ideas eSen1a is righ try "Salvia Divinorum" is my advice. If you want use, use this alone, with peaceful music (that you like) and with pictures that inspire something like that. Creative room i meant to say. Gj and Gl

I don't really have any advice because I'm not an artist and can't properly associate with this feeling but I just wanted to give you some support. You're good man, definitely try and paint some more. If you really can't think of anything to paint, paint Yuri from SNSD for me. Even if its not inspirational it will give you some practice if you haven't painted recently.

Strive for honesty to yourself. You are first worried about making what you do "good" . For the artist, it's more important to finish something then to imagine all sorts of possibilities. Don't worry about it being your next big piece or anything, just aim to be humble in your next painting and to finish it. You don't have to show anyone if you dont want to. This next piece you paint shouldn't be about showcasing and skill you have , or coming up with a great idea. For me, it was only really when I started to get a body of work that I started to compare myself to myself. Don't fall into this trap and just don't think when you are painting and just paint.
