It has some bits showing his APM and harassment. The three noobs he is facing are semi-professional comics so they have some pretty good personal commentary throughout. It's decently funny and worth a watch if for nothing else than seeing TorcH! Additionally he does his best to dispel the stereotypical gamer persona, so hopefully this changes the mindset of some of the viewers. The quicker that myth is dispelled the better!

It just shows this is serious business for people, rather than some anti-social kids a little too caught up in a "hobby." I really think he handled it well and despite some apparent mis-information I think he did a great job. I'll probably root for him a little harder in his upcoming matches

But as I continue to reflect on it, I am really glad he did this straight up without any self-deprecating humor or acting ashamed. Damn right, his factual style gave the video some documentary value, while the other four provided some levity. No need to downplay the efforts and achievements of individual gamers, or the proscene in general, because you fear how you'd look. Far better to be confident and proud of what you do! Btw, I also like that he didn't have to think long before answering questions, while being in game. Focus on two things at once shows mental power. :p

To my understanding from similar blog posts on TL the "fan girl moments" are reserved for the top players only. maybe for himself, but some top pros do have 450+ APM if you think about the real minutes instead of SC2's minutes. And I'm guessing hes referring to SC1 with the fan girl moments, however even Tasteless and Artosis have been saying they're getting spotted on the street for the GSL now. The bulk of the fan girls, it seems, are still cheering for their BW players, once they transfer over though SC2 progamer popularity will rise alot, especially since SC2 pros show alot more emotion compared with Star1. Also TorcH, if you read this thread thank you for getting Star2 out there!

I think most players are either too shy or too humble.

Jeff Rubin 19 hours ago TorcH will be the first to admit he isn't #1 in the world, but he's obviously better than 99.9% of the Starcraft playing population. It's like if you played a pick-up game against the worst player on the Clippers. He's still in the NBA. Haha Jeff Rubin defending Torch himself in the comments. They must be close.
