So i'm pretty sure i will be the only one to see this but thats ok. I find myself more likely to fulfill my goals if i post it publicly so here we go.
my goal is to be good enough to win tournaments by the time the Zerg expansion comes out. i don't mean GSL or MLG (would be amazing though) but the smaller LANs here in CA. i am currently at the top of my platinum league as a Protoss player and iv'e been playing about 8hrs a day so feel i'm on a good tract to complete my goal. i have even gotten some lessons from VTfuture (who is an amazing person to help with lesser players like me) when i have the money.
i think i will be posting my progress on here just as a way to not forget my goal ant track how well i'm doing. So if anyone sees this, feel free to add me (iseefor 323) i would love the help ^^

work on being solid.. Dont keep falling into the trap of other players who will lose to like ANYTHING that isnt "standard" and just say "Im better than that person cause he cheesed me" and rage.. Try to prepare to be ready for ANY situation in the game, and only until then will you be good enough to back up the talk of saying you are good.
So, if you get 4pooled, learn you just have to scout better and develop contingency plans if you scout wrong position and see it coming late, and how to defend it late.
There is no "cheese", map imbalance or anything in this game that you cant overcome. Treat every loss as YOUR mistake.. Once you learn that and learn how to adapt, you will be good enough to compete in a tournament and do very well.

He mentioned its for himself as he usually completes or reaches his goal when he announces it to the public or in this case the tl community.

No, it isn't. He said specifically that he only aims to win local LANs.
OP, are you a student or something? How do you have 8 hours to practice every day? Anyway, good luck with your goal. Do you know what level of players usually compete in the LANs?

you can do it with enough practice and sweat. Hope you improve well.

Having a goal is a great first step, but let's be honest, you have a long way to go and you will be much better off if you have a lot of intermediate goals (and not just 1) reach diamond 2) reach masters 3) win tournament). Find real weaknesses in your game (my guess is one is build order smoothness since you're just in platinum) and work on that for one whole day of practice without as much concern for your specific results.
Here are some exercises for this one idea: Find a replay of a top pro in-tournament of your favorite player of your race using the build order you want to practice. Scout when they scout, build buildings in the same order and see when they start their first stalker or something and write that time down. Now repeat the exact build order and see what time you build your first stalker. Repeat this until you can get within a second or two (you won't be able to do better likely at first unless your mechanics are really crisp, which they aren't *platinum*). My guess is the first time you do it, even part of the game that's so mechanical you'll be a good 10-15 seconds behind and this is definitely the difference between winning and losing in a ton of games.
