Holy check, so many boxes of monitors and stuff T_T
iBuyPower is pretty awesome for sponsoring us, show them some love please!!!
We're workin the fork lift dawg
Our production computers are set up and we're working on some stuff...
It's me.... doing stuff with my phone (no sleep for the weary
Got some neato banners that we're hanging up all over the place
More work getting the lights ready, it looks incredible!
View of the production room
We saw a little hummingbird, it was injured and sad...
Took time out our busy schedule to get it out of the building and set it free outside. It flew away and looked happy
Projector screen things... gonna b KOOL
Got it ready, now need to set it up
Taking a break and wrestling with Andre
Hanging up posters, requires a fork lift
Sound board thing... holy moly, so many knobs
Our stage is makin some good progress... that's where we stand now, after 8 hours of setting up.
Here's a video!
Anyway, that's it for now... Maybe I'll get an update at the end of the day today, we're about halfway done. Expect more pics // video at some point soon!
Awesome post, great to see a behind the scenes peek at the work going into this. Very much looking forward to the finals, here's to continued success of NASL
I hope you guys brought a lot more chairs than that, because MLG has sucked without having enough chairs and there's no reason not to have the place filled with chairs if there's no side things going on like at MLG.
Thank you iBuyPower The sound board looks unbelievably complicated. I can't even begin to imagine operating something like that. Other than that, the NASL setting up process seems pretty chill, given the hummingbird and wrestling. Wouldn't have minded to be there
Awesome pictures! I will be honest that when I first heard that NASL will be having a LAN finals, I thought it would be in a small room, but you guys have proven me wrong.
Please tell me there will be player booths. We all know what happens when you put players in a room with a live crowd and commentary and expect a simple pair of headphones to block out all external noise.
Awesome pictures, can't wait to see all the Socal Starcraft community people again. Also I think I owe Duncan a baneling bomb shot. Going to be a lot of fun can't wait to see everyone there.

No chance I'm casting... I can't compete with those guys, and I'll be far too busy T_T

Lots easier than you'd think! Just a matter of learning what all the knobs do. Remembering what does what is the hardest part.
Once you're there, you just get an ear for how to adjust things.
Shot this panoramic on my iPad right after I used the lift to help the rigger run all the audio/camera/lighting cables from the control stage to the main stage

Who's doing the lighting design? Professional curiosity, that's what I do for a living; so I'm always curious when an event is both live and televised (streamed) I'm always curious if the stage lighting design is done by a live event designer or a director of photography.
