I started play around with this drawing last night, after my first attempt i didn't like the result so i tried again today, fairly difficult but I think I've captured that spark in his eye.
enjoy.
oh and if you are a dexter fan and missed my drawing of dexter with BLOOD, it's in my youtube channel. If you have never seen any of my stuff before i have some other interesting things in there like drawing with both hand same time, drawing with salt etc..
Amazing work... btw, is it normal to hold the pencil the way you do? It looks like ur holding it so far back. I know i wouldn't be able to draw a straight line like that....
Your technique is good, but I think we should all give some consideration about what we think art does, (or might do), before applauding this particular drawing. Why a portrait of Steve Jobs? Because he is recently dead? Because we want to praise him for his contributions to beautiful computers? These are not bad reasons, Steve Jobs was undoubtedly an interesting public figure. We may well need new pictures of him. But should these pictures be like? In portraits, how should he be characterized?
All I ask is that you give these questions some consideration before reproducing a pencil drawing of the same portrait we've all seen 40 times since the mac king died. I see nothing new here other than a change in medium and no new opinion. Call me a jerk, but I think art can do more than reproduce things we've already seen.

You are a jerk; there I did it. This is about talent. Be in awe like the rest of us and don't think about it too much.
As someone who's had a portrait done by Glider, I can tell you that the person behind the pencil (or knife... :p ) is just as amazing and kick ass as the portraits he makes.

to shade yes. take a pencil, try to lightly shade an area while holding it the way you do when you write, now try it holding it near the other end like i have in the video, you should feel the difference.

My lawyer advice me to make no comment on such questions.

Youtube locks the number of views when a video gets a lot of views very quickly. You will always see the views at 300 on a video when it first shows up and is popular.

Man...this is the kind of art that I really like. When someone can capture every detail of an image it just astounds me. You sir have an incredible talent and deserve all the praise in the world. Great piece for a great man.
way too good. Your amazing. I've been trying to do 2d art for a while now, but it seems I don't have a lot of talent to do it. So I just stick with the 3d haha. Your amazing dude, keep it up!
Dood I've been a huge fan ever since TSL3.... Just showed dexter and natalie to my roommates, we we're all very impressed. You made a pencil drawing sexy (i won't say which one )
Yes he surely was a prophet of technology in our time, endorsing huge amounts of patents practically halting all advance in the sector that wasn't sold by his own company for overvalued prices.

Great job as always. Aside from the amazing end product, I've always enjoyed your videos because they give a little more entertainment; whether its pleasant little music, the time lapse, or playful things like the Dexter setup, chocolate, salt etc Can't wait for your next one
Excellent as always. Also the apple at the start reminded me of the e=mc^2 at the start of your Einstein drawing. The Dexter one was also really amazing. And just saw your two handed same time drawing video as well; simply unbelievable.

I wonder, too.
But nevertheless, awesomely made. Really, really high quality. May I ask how you learned this? Just practiced on your own, studied or what is the background?

It was a request in an upvoted comment at the video of the previous drawing.
edit: Still amazing drawing. Saw the Dexter one before. ^^
God your soo talented im just sitting here thinking how great it would be to just be so fantastic at something like art. I am pretty terrible at it but if you was good just sitting down and drawing for hours would be amazing if my finished works are as good as yours.
Holy shit, If you dont do this for a living, I'm confused at thoose who are. I mean, Can it get any better than this? very very very nice pictures. They belong on some rich dude's wall. Or the museum of art!
Yes, the Steve Jobs portrait is awesome . . . but I'm more curious about the ambidextrous drawing.
Those wern't drawn at the same time, where they? 'Cause. . . like. . . that sounds impossible. O_O I dunno I'm tired but that confused the shit out of me.
I love how you did the apple and then later you made it look like you had just drawn his brain without the skin and I was freaked out. Amazing! Now, what can't you draw? o.O
