So I am taking a big break from Starcraft II, probably a few months or more if I don't feel like I miss it.
But for now. Bye TL. And bye SCII

Starcraft 2 must be one of the few games that's not that enjoyable but very addictive at the same time. I don't know if it is because I'm growing older (24 in 2012) but I tend to gravitate towards game I can play at my own pace lately.

Me: GL HF f11 - block communication and then continue the game. Mannered people are so selldom and people who are friendly at the start can be huge dicks at the end of the game especially if they lose. Someone said he hoped some of my family died at the holocaust which was the turning point for me. Sad that when I watch replays I can still see their talk which oftenly contains random flames/insults I guess it proves that I should keep doing this. I have been playing with allot less tilt which is great.

Everyone loses, everyone has wtf fuck ups... just yesterday i lost to a fucking 6 pool and im high masters.. but i smiled and learned from it. Try a different approach, take a small break and reassess your mindset. Good luck... i've been in your position far too many times and it took a'lot for me to grow out of it.

That said, if it can reassure you, the truth is that basically anyone who is not playing at pro level can be considered "bad". Also let's not forget that at the end of the day, having 50% winrate on ladder is perfectly fine. It is the way it is; you may have insane winning streaks but you will definitely have some embarrassing and heartbreaking losses. That's why custom games are a great alternative to the standard ladder. Playing with friends,or participating in silly mini-games can make a huge difference when it comes to game experience.

Take a break and figure out what kind of game you want to play. I love challenges. I love doing things over and over and trying to improve. SC2 is a great game for me (and I'm a "bad" diamond player). + Show Spoiler + From time to time I'll play team games with friends or 'customs'. It's "more fun" but I don't like it as much as 1v1 - that might work better for you. GLHF

"you're bad, uninstall" is what I used to say to my good friends when we scrimmed together in cs1.6 and they missed an easy shot. didn't even say lol or please.

You don't have to play to be competitive or to improve. Just play to have fun and you can easily have fun. Ever try to proxy while your partner does other funky stuff? Games get blown out of proportion and you get funny reaction from people all while not having much pressure about winning or losing.

Until Skyrim got in the way of that. Then, depending on how fast I get tired of side quests (if I do) I may or may not be able to get some laddering done before Mass Effect 3. But oh wait, just remembered Arkham City and AssRev. TT So many games, so little time. For those of us who aren't pro, it can be hard to find the time to play SC2.

But with BW, I have a good time really either way. I dunno what it is, and I'm not trying to trash talk or anything. Just can't really figure out why. I guess because the game is so hard I really don't expect to win as much, where SC2 is regarded as the 'easier' game and I feel like if I have any skills at all I should win. Which easier it may be, it still takes some practice.

But with BW, I have a good time away. because in broodwar, the better player usually wins. sc2 is random, and one decision can make you lose easily. while in bw, its waay easier to comeback. personally thats why i find sc2 so raging, while bw never made me mad.
