As you might be aware from the title, we finally have a video again this week. It's a fun look at a TvP where we can see how my macro is going these days. As a reminder, our goal was to make it to 10 minutes without letting our minerals slip above 500 or forget a supply depot. We can tell there's still a lot of work to do but we're getting closer!
I also touch on something that's been frustrating me, most people on the gold/plat ladder will toss out a glhf at the start of a game but I'd say close to 80% don't gg at the end. I don't understand this mentality at all. If you're a decent enough person to toss out the good luck, have fun, why don't you toss out a gg at the end? I'm not sure but if I were to let a loss get to me that much I think I'd just put me more and more on tilt as I continued to play. We're all gold-plat players, we know that we aren't amazing at this game and make lots of mistakes and I don't understand getting so emotionally invested in a single match to jump out with out a gg. For me it's as much for my own metal state as it is to respect my opponent.
Anyways, that's my rant, gold and plat players if you read this please remember to gg at the end, it's a game, we play it for fun and if you're that caught up in losing you likely aren't having fun!
For this coming week the goal is very similar to last week, our goal is to make it to 12 minutes w/o missing a supply depot and keep our res below 500. 500 is really the goal for after a new prod cycle starts as at 12 minutes I'm on 2-3 bases and I need to have a bit more than that before I queue up the next round of units. Now that I have more time I'm going to try and get up to the top of this gold league again or get promoted.
Happy laddering!
Cheers,
