So earlier I had my bottom wisdom teeth removed by the local dentist because they were beginning to emerge and would soon cause problems to my teeth formation. To start off, they injected these gargantuan sized needles into my gums to numb the surrounding area which surprisingly, didn't hurt at all. Next, they used a screwdriver-like? knife as well as a chisel to cut the tissue and gums around each tooth, this part was uncomfortable because it was very difficult to breath with a suction tube directly above your uvula. But it wasn't as uncomfortable as the next part when all the cutting was done, which involved using a chisel to literally uproot the tooth like a crowbar that caused some SERIOUS discomfort.
When the teeth were finally removed and cotton wedges were shoved to block the wounds from bleeding, I was done. I quickly rushed to the local Walgreens to pick up my prescribed Vicodin(painkillers) and 2 gallons of ice cream. I got some strange stares from passing consumers when they saw me pressing the 2 ice cream cartons against my cheeks to reduce swelling.
I want to know your experiences with wisdom teeth removal and some tips on how to deal with recovery. The constant bleeding is killing me! Apparently the cotton wedges aren't enough, so I'm constantly having to go to the bathroom to spit out large amounts of blood which is really disgusting me at the moment.
