For some reason, I kept reading "figs" as "pigs".
Damn, roasted pigs would have been more awesome. =)

Not a big fan of figs so I probably won't try this one. The pictures aren't that bad and keep the healthy food choices coming!

Hahahaha. I don't think my oven is big enough to roast an entire pig!
I may make a non-traditional kalua pig recipe for the blog. I tried it out before and it was pretty good! Of course, baking in the oven is no way comparable to cooking it in a pit.

I'm not an expert on cooking giant slabs of meat, but how different is cooking an entire animal compared to cooking a smaller slab of meat?

I actually don't have hands on experience cooking an entire animal, so most of my knowledge is based off reading, tv and friends' stories. :< I just know the very basics of cooking an entire animal.
Just based on the sheer size, it will take much longer to cook an entire animal. Probably maybe 6hrs+ depending on the size of an animal. You usually want to slow roast the animal as well. "Slow and Low" is kind of the approach you want to take (at least for bbq).

After a few months of living with British people, I can never look at the Asian backwards (taeja-style) peace sign the same. I laugh every time.

Saw you there, I'm sure. Didn't realize you were kierpanda though.
Epic cheerful, nice picture with taeja, what a thug.

Hahah. I had a terran jacket on. I have a picture with Hero where he just looks exhausted (this was prior to the second Bo9). Poor guy. It was definitely a long day.

Why do you black out your eyes in the picture with Taeja?

Privacy reasons. ):
I've had people creep on my photos on other forums, so now if I post any picture containing myself, I try to blot it out. Really, this photo is more about Taeja and less about me.
I mean, if you try hard enough (or are creepy enough), I'm sure you can just find that image on my facebook. :\

I'm gonna have to go with Juliette on this one. Never crosses my mind, until she posts pics of her and then I'm reminded, and by the time I read the next blog I forget again.

Whoa...the roasted figs still look good :>
Your cheerful is also amazingly cute :3 Taeja was just balling it up that day haha.

YOU DON'T KNOW. They're called PIG NEWTONS.
Uh, anyway. Excellent looking TaeJa as always, and food is very good too.

the only green I wanna see is guacamole

The thug life sign is just a variation of the standard v for victory/peace sign every Asian does.
And +1 for the rocket, now that's a tasty leaf.

The food looks delicious and I love the drawn picture with the zergling attempting to befriend an evil probe

Now that you took a picture with TaeJa and embraced the inner TaeJa which is within all of us, do you feel more Gosu?
|
It looks delicious, I'm gonna try it!
I had to google what arugula was, I only knew it as rocket or rucola...

I do. I feel at least 25% more Gosu.

And Happy birthday

Happy Birthday! and good to see that you got a domain!

This looks delicious and fairly simple to make. I've never roasted figs before, but figs in reduced balsamic is making my mouth water. What's more, it uses my favorite green: arugula! I might have to try this, but as I'm not much of a feta fan, I may try to come up with something else salty in its stead, and possibly add something nice and crunchy (some nuts, like walnuts, perhaps?).

they look more like creep tumors than overseers.
:D
|
It looks nice but since it's called food porn it definitely needs some whipped cream. Whipped whipped cream if you want it to be more bdsm-style.

Ohh, candied walnuts might be a good touch. They're crunchy and sweet, though. I am biased though. I love candied walnuts. ADD THEM TO EVERYTHING!

haha what? Happy birthday ^^ enjoy it and cook up something delicious for yourself (or go out to eat or something)!
I really like your blog's graphics too by the way~
|
happy birthday! I've always loved your blog, keep up the awesome content.
Unfortunately I've never been able to enjoy figs. Thug life Teaja is pretty cool. And I thought Fishu's probes were the cutest, I think you proved me wrong.
