Hey guys,
It's been a rough weekend to say the least. I'm staying at my relative's house in San Jose (about an hour south of San Francisco) while I recover. I'll try to answer as many questions I can with this, but there are a lot of unknowns in the equation right now that will need to get sorted out in the coming weeks.
So basically what ended up happening was that my gallbladder decided to give up on life and just die. I've found out since it happened that this runs in my family. (thanks ancestors) If I had been alive 100 years ago I'd probably be dead right now. As it was, my gallbladder had actually started to get a bit gangrenes already before they removed it. They kept me in the hospital an extra day to make sure nothing had started spreading. Luckily it looks like everything worked out and I'll recover completely in a couple weeks.
Right now pretty much everything is painful, but getting less each day. I still had insurance from IGN so the cost shouldn't be too astronomical (hopefully). The big thing is that I probably won't be able to fly for a while, which will prevent me from getting to Korea to cast the OSL anytime soon. I'm still talking with them and nothing's off the table yet. Just have to kind of wait and see now.
So that's basically it. Don't know exactly where I'll end up in the next few weeks, but the most important thing is that I concentrate first on recovering. The doctors seemed to think it'll be fast since I'm a pretty healthy guy already. Hopefully they're right!
Btw, having a tube shoved into your nose all the way down to your stomach is about the least comfortable thing I've ever experienced. Thankfully I was able to immortalize the moment forever on Twitter thanks to my cousin, Vaughn, who was there with me.
In conclusion: No idea what's going to happen in the next few weeks, but I'm recovering quick and I'm sure my future still lies in esports!

Good luck DOA! Hope everything works out.
Good luck bro, here's to a speedy and healthy recovery.
Have an quick and full recovery. Hope to see you casting some amazing SC2 action soon.
Get well soon Doa! I heard things about you in the hospital and/or being sick but had no idea what was going on.
Oh man that sucks Best of luck man, I hope you make a full recovery really fast. The galbladder isn't needed to live a normal life btw? I don't know much about such things.
That sucks, glad it worked out though. Feel better soon!
Have a speedy recovery and hope you can get back to casting soon
Glad to hear everythings ok. Get well soon! Who's gonna break down the build orders!? lol <3 <3

Hey man, get better as soon as you can!
Get well soon, hope to see you cast again aswell when you are able to!
Glad to hear your feeling better broski. We miss you at the house . Hopefully we'll see you soon.
It's okay man, you don't really need one of those anyway. You can store your gall somewhere else. Maybe hollow out your appendix and keep it there, if you still have it.
Get better soon! I look forward to you casting again, but obviously not until you're up to it
Get better! Love your casting, hope to see you at OGN!
DOA, you shall get better! You will be back in Korea faster than you'll even realize, because all of the eSports community is behind you!
omg Doa! You've been through a lot. Take care, man. I really want to see you in Korea again. And thanks for taking that picture of DRG with his fan club shirt. It meant a lot. <3
Glad you're recovering at home now! I've had that nose tube thing, but not all the way to my stomach -- it's an awful feeling! I can only imagine how much worse that would be. Doesn't it interrupt how you breathe since your epiglottis normally closes so you can breathe?
Hope you're back on your feet soon!
Get well soon man, hopefully everything with ogn still works out nicely, I have been missing you as a caster in korea since you left and have hoped for your return for so long, I can wait some more so take your time and then continue to live the dream :D
Feel well, take your time.
It's a hectic life being Doa it seems. Take your time getting better man, I look forward to you in Korea!
Hope you get better, Doa. That line about the tube was horrifically uncomfortable to READ, to say nothing of actually having it happen to you.
You will recover and you will be as awesome as ever. Doa fighting!
Don't rush your recovery and get well soon. Will be awaiting your casting in the OSL. ^_^

all the best.
My GF had her gallbladder removed, since then she can't drink coffee anymore, OJ and vinegar are also big no-goes and she has to be careful about tomatoes.
edit: wrong thread lol
But I wanted to say "get better soon!" anyway.

Hey, if your ancestors didn't exist, you won't exist either. Thank them!
On a more serious note, it's a good thing that you're on the road to recovery. Take care!

Good luck Doa, I hope you recover fast! Sorry you had to deal with something so terrible and possibly frightening, at least it would be for most people.
gl DoA! Hope to see you casting in Korea again SOON!
Happy to hear you're recovering. Thanks for the update!
physical injuries are so humbling. Take the rest you need and get completely better. Good luck!

Btw, having a tube shoved into your nose all the way down to your stomach is about the least comfortable thing I've ever experienced Sweet mother of Jesus.. I can't even imagine.

Get well soon, man! I'm glad you had insurance to cover this, as not having insurance and getting unlucky can really suck.
So sorry to hear about this, but it's great to know you seem to be on the path to recovery. If I may ask our of curiosity, what exactly happened in the first place that caused you to say, "Something's very wrong. I need to see a doctor?"
Get well, and start kicking commentator ass again soon!
Love your casting - hope you make a quick recovery. Don't overdo it before you are healthy!
I forgot that americans shoulder hospital prices on their own. That sucks wayyyyyy more than if you had to do it in a socialist country.

Good luck and stay healthy Doa.
Having random organs or body parts decide to give up on you is never fun, thank god for modern medicine. <3

I'm just happy you're semi-allright. Get well soon buddy!
Sounds terrible, I feel for you. As much as I/we want you back as a caster, making sure you're actually alive and kicking is a bit more important still. Hope you'll have a speedy recovery!
Best of luck and health and all that good stuff!!
Glad to see you're alright definitely sounds pretty scary.
Hope everything works out and that you recover fast!
That sucks, Doa, but best of luck to you and a best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Well get well for us, ok? P.S. California has boats and luxury liners, you could probably have a delightful recovery time cruise on the way there. Yes, costs, but that's another challenge in itself. Take one at a time, first one being getting better, at least for the fans sake! (:
Get well Doa!

It's great to hear you're doing better, cant wait for the comeback!

It would have been just as bad if it were your appendix. That thing pops and you be dead too.
Know all about it. I would have died very early too. D;

You almost stopped my heart there with the title, but now I can't breathe.
Being sick is never much fun, so I hope you return to good health soon!

(Insert random complaint about Moletrap here.)
Focus on healing up, and we're glad you're still around. (Freaking gall bladders man. I'm sure they've already told you to take a look at your diet.)

Yup, glad to hear that.
Don't feel compelled to honour your nickname that much, as I -and probably we- certainly don't want you dead on arrival in Korea.
Hmm. GL, stay strong.
Edit : just realized that lame joke was already used in the very title. Well... here, have a random sexy video to cheer you up instead : + Show Spoiler +

If a fetus can grow into a human, does that make abortion murder? What is more human like : A fetus or a zombie?

You're aweome Doa, and I hope you keep the job at OSL, because you're one of my personal favorite casters.

Im sure you will be able to fly when you feel better, but i would say your realistic target should be 4-6weeks from now to head over to Korea all be it on your Dr's view.
We miss you in OSL and i hope you can watch the OSL on your recovery!

It's sad that you have to think about economics when you are in the hospital! Recover fast!

Who needs that bladderstuff anyways. Get well soon.

If OGN gets stupid and decide they don't want another SC2/LoL caster (is Moletrap doing double duty?), IGN should beg to have you back.
Don't know if they will, but they should!
Really hope you get better. You are definitely one of the casters I enjoy listening to the most!
Get better man!! Commentary isn't the same without your wit.
