I know tattoo parlors are a bit taboo, but we are a family owned and operated. also above us live a young family that could have easily been killed if this arsonist knew what he was doing. on a side note our exotic fish could have been also boiled alive!
lucky no one, but the arsonist was hurt.
to try and spread the word and find someone who has recently got unexplained full body burns recently i have added benny hill to the video footage of this potentially serious incident.
it would be appreciated if you could please like or share ^__^V <3
thank-you

Ironically, he appears to have done more damage to himself than to the shop.
After a massive clean up, team work, and beers, the crew at Skin Deep Tattoo Studio will return to business as usual, two days following the incident.
If anyone has any information regarding the individual contained within this video please contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
Did you serious put that music over something that's this serious and expect help? Maybe it's just me, but poking fun at a situation like this is exactly what you shouldn't be doing especially when you yourself admit people could have been killed.

Man people find a way to complain about everything.
well we put the video up without any music and no response.
personally it is a little funny that he hurt himself, goodness knows if he would sue for injury on the property now =/ lucky and im soooo happy all our fish survived, and that upstairs families only lost a little sleep. but sad that a lot of my equipment and my artwork went up in flames, including some sc fanart i was working on.
the foundations are there and we are open again, but this kind of crime is just stupid and imo needs awareness to make sure this doesn't happen again.
Thank-you too those who took the time to watch, keep an eye out for a servearly burnt man =P

it shouldnt be all that hard to lit something on fire and not set fire to yourself... like, poor gasoline or other highly inflammable liquid, set fire to it and make sure your not close to it, run
next question why would you ever try to do it. if you don't like a certain place don't go into it

well what happened was if you watch the video, i left my lamp out, and he hit it and poured the liquid over himself. As soon as he lit up, he lit up.

It is just you. Mocking someone who is both incompetent and sinister is perfectly acceptable.
Having the Benny Hill theme made a very serious incident into a serious and funny attempt at arson. But really, don't be an idiot and think pulling off crimes like this is cool or pleasurable, all it does is result in crap for both sides, and no one wins. Hope this guy learned his lesson. I'm happy none of you guys were hurt, nor your fish and that your business got running really fast.
If it was me I would assume it was someone who felt spited by the business. Some one who wasn't happy with the work and decided that this is how you should pay. He could have been stewing for a while, and just needed enough beers to push him over the edge.
Should be a clear win for funniest home videos imo, or that one SpikeTV show. Send it in and split the winnings with the tenants above. Would also be yet another slap in the face for the arsonist.

Putting music on this was a pretty bad mistake because it makes people take it less seriously. The family owned business lost its hard earned money and equipment, which is very serious to all parties involved. For all we know he could come back and commit something even worse( Grand theft, murder etc.. etc..) and that is something to be worried about. Next time you might want to figure out a different approach if you want to extend a helping hand. This reminds me of the "COPS" television series that we have over here in the states. Everything that goes on that show is supposed to be serious but people just view it as a source of entertainment and laughs.

Lucky my Family was insured, and we are up and running again. In times like this all we can really do is laugh.
it would be good to get this out there, the more people that see it i hope the better, maybe the media will pick it up? and then maybe someone will recognize the guy. (a lot of maybe's)
But it's good to see the positives in such a negative situation and not let it drag the moral down of the shop. we even hosted a BBQ the day =)

I do agree with you people like to find a way to escape bad feelings/situations. With that being said I do not think everyone should be hanging their heads in despair. Just gotta look at it from a objective standpoint to prevent any further happenings. It is crazy sometimes what people do. Stay safe and I wish everyone involved the best of luck.

The music is meant to satirize the result of the crime. Nobody except the offender was hurt, and the OP certainly doesn't disregard the fact that the crime was a serious one. C'mon bra.

I'm curious to know why someone would choose to attack your property, there had to have been some kind of personal motivation, it's unlikely he just flipped through the phonebook and drove to the address his finger landed on.

Yea man, quit your bitching. Was that really the only comment you had? No one was hurt except the asshole himself.
All the OP lost were some inanimate objects that got replaced by insurance, this guy will pay his entire life for a stupid mistake. He is probably out there somewhere, in terrible agony and unable to go to a hospital for fear of the police and will be disfigured as long as he lives. What a terrible faith...
That totally sucks. You're lucky there wasn't huge damage! The part where he slowly walks out while his pants burn if hilarious though. Do you know of any reason someone would want to burn your shop down or was it probably random?

Unfortunately those are the consequences of his own actions. Some people will agree that the video is not in good taste but if this man does in fact need to be in a hospital the attention the video is getting could very well lead to him being found and helped. He will have to face his crimes but again, consequences... Who knows? perhaps this ordeal might cause him straighten out his life and become a force for good, helping other would-be arsonists find a better path before they light themselves on fire.

If you light someone's place of business on fire that's not an act of stupidity that's sheer malice.... If he had burnt his hand making soup thats another story but it's pretty clear he pured gasoline all over the place and then lit it....

Usually people don't try to burn buildings down. The severity of the consequence tends to be relative to the severity of the action; play with fire, get burned. Should clarify that wasn't accusing you of being critical. I also feel bad for this guy and I hope he gets help. Also glad the OP didn't lose very much, this whole situation could have been much worse.

He could of killed our fish and the families living upstairs! if he succeeded honestly burns are the least that thing this monster would of deserved.

Wait how did we come to assume that the culprit suffered a crippling burn injury? If he just did the stop-drop-roll thing once he got outside I can't see this being more than just a few 2nd degree burns...

I am sorry but committing arson is more than just a silly mistake. The OP says that there where people living in that building that could have died if the fire got out of control.
Asshole got hurt while endangering others. Hope he gets the punishment he rightfully deserves for damaging for legitimate business and endangering the family above you.
If I was a police investigator, I would just call all the neighboring hospital looking for burn victims. Probably the perpetrator is one of them (if there are more burn victims in the hospitals). Judging by the severity of his burns, he wasn't in a good shape, so unless his car was parked right outside your shop, he couldn't get very far. If his car was parked nearby, there should be some cameras on the street that spotted him, what would make the work extremely easy and also would make him an amateur.

It looked like he was still on fire in the second part of the video, which also means that he probably had some serious burns. So maybe the investigators can check the local hospitals for anyone that showed up that night with serious burns. Just a thought.

If the cops are remotely capable they always contact the hospitals and ask for a call if anyone fitting the injuries comes in after a crime.
