I'm not sure I would buy the mobile version, as it's a bit dumbed down for the casual windowlicking phone people. This game is definitely not "slow paced," I'm not sure where you got that from lol. There are 20ish foods to choose from to start your menu off, and every day or so there is a new upgrade for a food.
But you only get like 500-600 dollars a day... So you get new things very slowly. Every day is what feels like 10 minutes with everything, and all that changes level to level is a different recipe? And as you get to day 15-30 it slows down even more since things become more expensive.
Not saying it's bad, maybe I feel like this because I played a lot of this game straight without any breaks today.

You'll get more money if you choose a menu that isn't corndogs, pretzels, and beer. There's a 250$ bonus for getting a perfect day and the random daily bet is usually above 600$ just for succeeding. If you think the game is too slow, pick a menu like Soup, Steak, Shish Kebob, Wine, Burger, and Lasagna. Soup and Lasagna are both relatively inexpensive to buy or upgrade, they're fun, and they have a higher menu price. Fresh Fish and Chicken Breast are both quick to prepare, give good boosts to Buzz, and have a solid menu price.
This is awesome. I was addicted to restaurant empire. Now this. I thought it would be crappy because the screen shots made it look more like a puzzle game and I never watch video unless I have been recommended first. Thanks for the heads up because I was hoping that this would be a legit game :D. Going to get it now. Ghin, you should get into marketing.
Game is addicting, progression is slow but the active serving is really quick actually sometimes really frustrating if you don't purchase the equipment upgrades. But nonetheless I have taken a liking to it.
Got this game on Ghin's recommendation. Pretty fun! Whenever someone says a game reminds them of brood war in some way, my ears perk up. Played for about 4 hours straight my first session. Progression can be a little slow, but once you start getting more stars for your restaurant, the pace really picks up and service can be pretty frantic...especially after you just buy the upgrade for your soup which adds 3 more possible ingredients and there's 5 straight soup orders and the health inspector is waiting for you to take out the trash!!!! D:
I have no regret in taking your advice Ghin!!! It's an awesome game. I was chilling with steaks and chicken but then added soup. Holy shit I need to step up my skills lol, it's hard to get a perfect day when you get dat soup order of doom!
Note that is is not considered a casual game even though it was designed for Android. The amount of APM required during rush hour is pretty demanding (I get perfects anyways). The pacing is also a bit slow (takes 20 days to get past 1 star even though you can ace everything).

This is a casual game =/
High APM ~= Hardcore game
This is very likeable for people who like to relax too. I agree with the pacing being a bit slow though. After playing for a while though, it does pick up quite a lot. And a menu full of hard dishes can be very challenging, even before reaching day 20.
I picked up this game back originally due to the OP here and liked it quite a bit - figured I'd bump it because an update came out, increasing the difficulty quite a bit. It's a lot of fun!
Also, the game is currently 30% off on Steam until Friday, I think. Just giving my endorsement ^^ And if you liked it back when it came out, go take a look again - the new difficulty is actually pretty challenging!
