Necrolyte #1 OP, I could dream, I love that hero Wasn't he one of the strongest hero in 6.59d though? :D Those were the days :3 Yes he was, in large part due to how ridiculously strong bloodstone was in those days.

And heart with the battle regen. Necro and DP carry era. Phase boots giving armor also helped. A lot of changes seemed to be made specifically to destroy what made them so strong.

Really? I remember mostly juggling between Heart n Shiva (for first big core item). Sometimes Mek, but Bloodstone aren't really good if u didn't totally obliterate them early game, in which case most other items are great anyway :D Also i liked Phase, but liked Treads more :x Guess it was all a playstyle preference.

Bloodstone with stacking health regen was insanely good on heroes like Necro, DP and Storm. You would often get items like Hood. Anything to tank up basically.

If this is what taking influence from LoL does to dota i can understand the passionate hate for it.
I personally despise you and I don't even know you.

you know what, fuck the first two weeks of this meta. Now everyone can be PL with necro and just send units at buildings without committing at all.

Nice post. Always like hearing NS's thoughts on things.

Can't wait to see the return of dual lanes.

Berserker call should be changed to Axe's ulti, with a fucking giant half screen aoe and a moderate to long cooldown.

I think we could see Tree in aggressive trilanes with this change, focusing more on leech seed than on living armor early. It's still a shitty spell. Short range, prohibitive mana cost.

How come NS thinks +1 Necrolyte armor instantly makes him first pick material? Back when necrolyte truly was first pick material, bloodstone gave +2 HP/MP regen per charge and heart was a passive 1% and wasn't disabled when attacked.

Not sure why no one's talking about this:
Juggernaut - Healing Ward movement speed increased from 300 to 450 - Omnislash Scepter cooldown reduced from 110/100/90 to 70 - Omnislash no longer stops if the target is Ethereal (it still doesn't do damage) - Fixed not being able to use items during Omnislash
DotA is a game about the little things, like scepter being the kiss of death to jugg's ulti - oh wait, not any more. Yeah, it'll still protect you from it, but it doesn't end it instantly, which increases his reliability both offensively (more hits more damage) and defensively (more invulnerable time). Using items during omnislash is a lot bigger than it looks too - the obvious example goes back to ghost scepter, and using diffusal to shut it down. Diffusal suddenly got a lot better in this version on its own - it beats chen and abaddon's tricks now, which is crazy awesome given how good those heroes are. Agh's cooldown is really nice too - scepter was already fantastic on jugg, and now it's practically a must have.
But those are the three less important changes. Holy fuck healing ward is fast now. You really can't kill it against a determined jugg with detection, though you can drive it back, and that's HUGE. Getting that insane percentage heal for even one extra second in a fight is as clutch as it gets.
I'm expecting jugg to get 'discovered' sometime in this patch and become, if not a top pick, at least a relatively common one. Optimal item build imo would be phase agha diffusal. After that, it becomes somewhat game dependent but I'd lean towards manta most of the time - between spin-tp, ult, and manta, you get really hard to kill - not antimage hard, or lancer hard, but hard. And you offer a lot more focused teamfight offense than either of those does in the sort of quick, bloody games this patch will bring us.

From what I've seen, N0tail doesn't look at it this patch as a buff to meepo at all. More like a nerf, it seems, in his view. :o
Edit: Nvm I see now that this has already been posted before and clarified!

I can't help but notice the frequency of "dirty/nasty" in this blog. If it's any coincidence, the Chinese pros love to use the word "dirty" to describe cheeky stuff, too.
