Hey everyone,
Basically I'm making this post as I'm fairly new to starcraft 2 (I've been playing for about a week or so) and I'm wondering what are different ways to get more involved in competitive communities ect..
I'm looking for a clan that practices together that is good (I'm high Diamond you can say, I float around rank 10-20 right now) and tournaments that go on that are just for fun. I have no idea how to find either of these 2 things at the moment lol.
I tried to search for these things but came up short with anything recent, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

How many games have you played overall? I think you might have been placed into diamond because the whole ladder system has been reset. It's not very likely for a completely new player to get placed in that league AND to get a decent win rate there. Aside of that, leagues aren't too important anyway. It's more about improving your gameplay and understanding the game.
Concerning "competitive communities" there's basically this site. There are sc2 subreddits, too, but they're either almost dead or more about entertainment / drama. On TL, you can find strategy guides, live report threads, player and tournament streams and tons of other things. There aren't as many people as there were in the heydays of WoL, but it's still very much alive and breathing. (You can also get your daily portion of drama on TL, you just need to know where to look. )

50-36 is my overall record in ranked. I don't think it's a mistake as I constantly beat diamond/master people.
Thanks for the info though

Then you either have some serious talent or you've got lots of experience in rts games. (Or the ladder is broken. ) Just kidding, good luck.
