Thanks so much to Blizzard for the enduring legacy of everything Starcraft. A friend of mine recently played through the SC1 and BW campaigns, having never played them before, and he thought they were incredible. Now I'm going back and replaying them, mainly to see the new comic-style art between some of the levels. The quality of the campaign still holds up today. Quite an impressive feat. It's also quite amusing seeing the decisions the characters make when you already know what will happen next.
Also, it's extremely comical to see just how far away the default locations for your Command Center are from the minerals and gas in a lot of these missions. In one of the last Protoss missions of the SC1 campaign, I had to have a train of 12 Probes to optimally harvest gas from the nearest geyser.
