Inspired by the MSL finals.
Warning, quite possibly a spoiler
My passion borders psychosis. It has a name: Lee Jae Dong, a dangerous storm verging on destroying 5 thousand millenia of proud heritage, only to feed his ravenous will. Protoss after protoss falls, and the maddness never ends.
Jaedong flirts with disaster and he invites me to join him. His cold and unblinking eyes tell me "Things are better on this side". He tempts be with no words, only the bold and unforgiven destruction of Aiur's best, wave upon wave of capricious annhilation.
I have given my soul to Jaedong, turned my back on my Aiur Bretheren, felt my heart rise as I watched the proud monuments of Protoss torn down in the Zerg storm. You have repaid my treachery with power beyond my dreams, with victory.
You may stand tall now, misguided Protoss bretheren, but when your Nexus is torn brick by brick into ruins by ravenous Zerg claws, only then will you know true Joy.

Hard for you to take down my nexus when it's surrounded by reavers, cannons, and templar with storm.

Former brothers, you will look back on these days with such sadness.
There is a certain beauty in vain struggle, but to give our lives to deny such beauty
Aiur is old, the jungles are dying, our people scattered. We have been given new life in the Overmind, blessed by the Messiah Jaedong with energy passion and belonging.
One day you too will see this

In Zerg, there is no death, for we move as One.
To be a part of something greater has always been the Protoss way. What could be greater the topping the evolutionary pinnacle in one perfect entity?

Awaken my child, and embrace the glory that is your birthright. Know that I am the Overmind; the eternal will of the Swarm, and that you have been created to serve me.
Arise, my son. Arise... GeneralStan

Wow, this thread rekindled my love for the swarm.

A truth that chills the soul of the nonbeliever, the Maestro will rise again.

The Maestro has failed.
The Noble Protoss warrior Bisu seemed poised to deliver hope to the downtrodden Tribes, but the Overmind has created Jaedong - the Perfect Zerg.
It is through Savior's failure that Jaedong can rise, and in Jaedong's rise can Savior find redemption . . . and peace.

But is perfection itself not fleeting? Has the world not witnessed the supernatural mastery of the Zerg Swarm possessed by the one and only Ma Jae Yoon? Did the world not tremble at His mighty feet as he crushed the Terran messiah, Lee Yun Yeol, and the Hero of Aiur, Park Jung Suk? Did the Maestro himself not reverse Longinus II, the spear that pierced the side of God himself, and plunge it into the heart of his foes? Was Reverse Temple not conquered by the unsatiable bloodlust innate in every Zergling that is hatched by His will? Such perfection, such sheer domination, will never again be witnessed, as there are none capable of taking the place of the true Maestro of Zerg;
Ma Jae Yoon.

Welcome to the loving embrace of the Swarm. It is indeed the greatest feeling any mortal can feel, the tendrils of the Overmind's thoughts caressing your consciousness. You feel connected and as one with every soldier of the Swarm...and it is good.

For the Swarm! Turn your back on your misguided brethren, for we are the only perfect, pure race.

I always pictured the Zerg like the Buggers from the Ender's Game series. The Overmind gives instantaneous instructions which are carried out with precision and with everyone acting as one. The Overmind would essentially be a player that would be able to have the best control micro while maintaining perfect macro because all commands are instantaneous mind to mind communication. this is something 1 Terran commander just cannot due because he does not have the mental capacity to give out commands like that, he has to radio everyone and that is why they are too slow and fall to the Swarm. The Protoss are better and much more disciplined, but they lack that unity, that ability to give out commands to all warriors at once that allows for the Swarm to come out on top.

It's not about superiority, it's about the ingenuity and hope of humans. The resourcefulness and adaptability, and creativity which will win out in the end. Humans have music, tv, films and video games. Zerg have larval sacs. Protoss probably haven't even invented the master system yet. Pong would probably make them wet.
Sure one terran commander will probably lose in a straight slog with the zerg, but he will use tactical nukes to blow your main hive to hell, send covert agents to kill your main telepathic bugs, and then send a bunch of stalwart marines and medics + plenty of firebats right into the vulnerable heart of the zerg where there are like 100 hatcheries but only 1 sunken and then > your production and then swarms of humans born unto proper families, all thinking for themselves but with the unity of spirit and hope that brings all us together to defeat the zerg menace; at which point we shall all rejoice and continue to reap the benefits of culture and diversity while the hive mind bewails its lame-assness.

Dark Swarm Plague Ultraling sup?
|
He only mentions these things because you see... when those "Stalwart" marines and medics enter the heart of the swarm they will simply.....DIE. They will be completely surrounded, and out numbered by the hoards of zerglings willing to throw themselves upon them wave after wave as Ultralisks charge in and slice through and toss them as if they were flies. Those that have to courage may still put up a fight and may even have a chance of winning with their superior fire power, but yet the swarm holds back out of range and they will wonder and fear what is happening. Then suddenly the swarm parts to admit a curious looking bug that does not look particularly threatening. But then suddenly they see a vast cloud raise up and the zerg forces are concealed from their view. Suddenly a red mist is thrown upon them that literally sucks the life out of them. As they gasp in a horrible pain they can only pray for it to end and the last thing they do is scream as the blades of the zerg end their pain.

You traitor, the conclave will have ur balls for this.

good luck when you get raped by storms :[

I've unleashed so much racial tension. It truly is beautiful
It's funny that everybody took it to mean that I'm switching races. I wanted to share the guilt of rooting for Jaedong over Protoss players, but guilt overwhelmed by the sheer joy of Jaedong's domination.
Then the encouraging response from Zerg players here has convinced me that maybe I belong.
|
ha, I have recently been hypnotized by the Zerg. seems kind of funny the way they infest stuff in the game, and they seem to be corrupting P/T players as well
|
Atleast we can think for ourselves.. heheh
|
I started as Zerg, but switched to Protoss awhile ago because I love how they play. But I cannot deny that my true love is indeed Zerg and hope to someday return to it. I've always loved Zerg, long before I even knew of progaming; learning of the likes of Savior and Jaedong have only fueled that distant fire.
