I really never cared about dancing or style, I just had fun living. But since I got to know shuffling I really want to dance like that. You shuffle to express, not to impress. You can have a lot of fun and I really want to shuffle.
I found a few tutorials.. what do you think about them?
Melbourne Shuffle Basics
Kick Basics
Running Man Basics
A friend will teach me how to shuffle but I just wanted to ask if you have any hints for someone that never danced. Even the Melbourne shuffle basics look so easy but they are pretty hard I think :/!
Please help me^_^! Thanks (if you are a shuffler, post a video of you if you have any )
You can shuffle to all kinds of music, not only the hardcore(I think?) techno... I like to shuffle to elektro and such I have a tip that helped me:
When you first try to do it good/long, look for something to support you. I always lost my balance in the beginning and putting my hands hand a table or something helped me get the "shufflefeeling"
And of course, never give up too, cuz it can be frustrating:p

Haha I'm losing the balance too. And when I try the melbourne shuffle its like.. if you put your feet close together (T-Form) it makes me lose my balance.. and if I put them not close, its like I just "jump" to the left (when shuffling to left). Also its no problem to move my foot, more like lifting the other one up and down is hard T_T^^
Edit: is there a video of you? (+ the music in those videos is hardstyle)
I can shuffle alright, honestly its better to shuffle to electro rather than techno, the only tips i can give you is be prepared to get laughed at when your just starting out, i'll get a video later of myself Oh dont put your feet so close when your doing the shuffle part, kick your feet behind your leg further and you should keep balance Oh and its Melbourne shuffle

Yes, its Melbourne shuffle.. lots of styles, but in comon I guess when you talk about shuffling, Melbourne Shuffle is mostly the thing, right :O?^^
If you take a video, can you possibly take it to. Paxi - Fixi (deepforces, best from 2:25 to ~ 3:00 or something) or SMF - HAHAHA? :D

I really have to agree with CharlieMurphey in saying that this is really stupid. If i wanted to dance using awkward movements, I'd learn how to breakdance, not hoping around looking like a kid with spastic turrets.
this is the worst garbage style to hit the "clubs" since the jumpstyle i cant express how much pain i am in while watching this again after a year or so i thought this shit happily died along with the clown-looking retards wearing shitty outfits i wouldnt drop a dime to learn any of this shit, in fact id pay someone not to do it if he was ive done my share of clubhoppin and im saddened seeing what it evolves into
it used to be this:
LOL Kruel start in the hallway and run as fast and you can plowing yourself into the fridge
Well even though I do shuffle myself, I don't really classify it as a dance, but damn is it hella fun to do and yes I do dance properly as well but that's besides the point.
My advice when you're starting out is to get some drinks first, they will help you go harder because you let yourself go more (that's what makes it look good, being fully into it), but not too much that you'll fall over and you won't feel tired, amazes me when I go out have a few drinks how much I can shuffle compared to when im just sober mucking around getting tired as after not even 10 mins.
And yes those vids are good they were where I learnt the basics for shuffling, but it's always better to have someone show you in real life. As in everything you learn, learn the basics, practice them, master them then move on to other stuff. I can honestly say shuffling isn't too hard to learn, your balance problem ummm not so close together, like watching reps and vods, watch vids of the good guys doing their stuff and you can see, they kick where they wanna go and they don't keep their feet too close together, like riding up and down an escalator, you balance so much easier when your feet are apart, same in dancing i guess ^^ anyways have fun and good luck.
And I don't know about you but im a sucker for girls that shuffle xD

pretty much that. Unless you can really handle being lolled at by everyone around you i'd suggest you get atleast semi decent before you try to do it in clubs... there's nothing worse than some spastic drunk guy attempting to shuffle and 1-stepping out of time whilst almost falling over -_-;;.
But yeah, it's not very hard to learn, and is fairly easy when compared to learning other styles of dance. I enjoy it and especially even more so since i can't casually dance for shit .
I live close to Melbourne so I have a lot of friends from Melbourne and a lot of them shuffle, I also DJ and enjoy mixing Hardstyle so I have quite a few friends who are really good shufflers. I've tried it, I don't actually want to learn how to, but It can be quite tricky. Even the basics take a little while to overcome but aren't too difficult.
Shuffling can look really awesome when done well but when done wrong it looks dumb. So as people have said, prepared to be laughed at.
Btw, I believe some of the videos in the OP are from 'Bigmilan'. He is a Melbourne DJ and a good Shuffler who apparently helped spread the Melbourne shuffle or something along those lines, correct me if I'm wrong.
dunno if this should be irony but thats not shuffling. its cripwalk, which is far better than any of the techno dancestyles. just because its matching the music better. i've also been listening to hardstyle for several years and have been to major events like qlimax and so on. from my point of view i dont like what the techno/electro scene is evolving to. its the same like hip hop after 2001.

But I don't want to clownwalk. You can also shuffle "calmly" to other music so it doesn't look "retarted". To be honest I don't think it looks retarted. I think it looks pretty good and as I mentioned before. Shuffle to express, not to impress.
Kruel you own in your kitchen^_^ good job, haha! Charlie, I don't care what your opinion is. You may dislike or hate melbourne shuffle, but I still like it !

He pointed out that this is not shuffling.

However, clazz depicts his dancing as clownwalking, whereas others would argue about that and say it is cripwalking. Whatever it may or may not be, I like clazz's dancing much more than any of this shuffling, jumping, tecktonic stuff. ^^

exactly. This is just like uprock for breakdancing. The worst part though is that its fast beats that you just look mental doing it.
