In light of all the blog iccup drama, i have decided to contribute some more, lets see what you have to say jello.

Off the top of my head the accounts I used most this season were MacroPolo, InGosuWeTrust, MyNewAccount, AZealotOnCrack and IntoTheAbyss.

looks like normal nerd-rage to me i never take such accusations seriously after ive just won a game or anything like that. kids these days can't handle the rage!
i dont take it personally, but if someone is gonna take the time to insult me because he cant handle his emotions then im gonna take the time to report them.
I couldn't believe someone with over 2k posts here would resort to such name calling, i hold tl netters in higher esteem than most people i meet online
nope silv, when i get mad over a game of starcraft i just swear out loud and go punch my punching bag, but i never insult people i just lost to, no matter how badly i lost.
On March 03 2009 23:03 G.s)NarutO wrote: Really besiger - its just rage.. Have you never insulted someone in rage? :S
I think rage is good to avoid. When I lose miserably, I just type gg and alt+qq as quickly as possible, then sign off of battle.net and walk around a few paces.

to be honest, I have no idea what your thinking.
You can't expect every angry person that just lost a game to come out with a happy face and say gg. I never understood people that go "OMG SO BM" when someone leave without typing "gg" or starts swearing after loosing a game.
I also don't find such examples of nerd-rage as good subjects of discussion. What do you expect him to say if he sees this ? Write a 10 page essay to justify his insults ? Do you actually expect TL forum veterans to be saints and not swear at all ?
I found the thread funny until you used those SS to attack him. Just my 2 cents.

Edit : actually never mind, lets just say im a petty person that thrives on drama.
and im not attacking him, im just posting what happened, make of it what you will. also the game itself wasnt that bad.
douchebag insults you on the internet, fellow douchebags flock to defend. internet citizens relax, their fears allayed, knowing that the internet will never change
I despise people who take their nerd-raging out on their opponents, if you're a sore loser, fine. But learn how to deal with it and don't be an immature little fucktard who takes it out on the people who just beat the living crap out of you. I'm very competitive and a very sore loser and I always go on rages when I lose. I will say this though, In 99.9% of the cases I don't let it go out over my opponents. Type that GG in there, Then go berserk on either your /f m like "FUCK I CANT FUCKING BELIEVE I FUCKING LOST TO THAT CHEESING NEWBIE WHAT IN THE FUCK!?" Do some pushups, situps, scream, punch something etc.. (Actually don't punch stuff you'll just regret it and it's pretty stupid as well, unless it's a punching bag ;O)
This is why I don't get all the "Have you never lost to someone and done this????!?!" comments here. You guys make it sound like it's an acceptable way to behave when you lose. IdrA and Artosis MIGHT agree with you but I'll tell you a little secret:
I know from reading this guys posts before he shares his accounts out alot with irl friends and plays bw high alot of the time so it could easily be either of those things tbh, he's usually a mannered guy afaik.
People need to learn to contain their anger for the sake of sportsmanship and then go off and rage by themselves. (Although I can admit to leaving games without "GG" often times on ICCup, specifically when I lose a game I know I should've won).
P.S. I recently BM'd someone because he unpaused the game after I paused it (to answer the door). I think I ended the game with something like "die chobo" and "dog manner" as I killed him.
People on iccup get extra ragefull, it is so obvious I shouldn't even have to write it. I've played jello_biafra a few times and won all and he did not bm me from what I remember. Besiger, sure he sad some mean things but sticks and stones....
I agree that people should act with more civility. Of course I don't expect it to happen. In reality, it's the reason why some people are more successful than others, even at a game like Starcraft. Successful people blame themselves for their mistakes, and fix them. It's extremely rare for someone who blames others for thier own shortcomings to become truly successful at anything.
At least I can say that I have never once lost a game without gg'ing, nor have I ever won a game without returning a gg. And I never will.

So just because he didn't flip out when you played him he's an alright guy or something? How is sticks and stones a valid argument when talking about sportmanship.
When i'm really angry after being cheesed the worst thing i can do is to ask a re without saying gg. And i almost never do that. So usually i left without saying gg ( if i don't know the guy or if he didn't talk to me before the game ).
I only bmed two people last year. One time because i was drunk and then because i lost many 2v2 in a row on iccup and i got mad after being x2 9 speedling pooled but i always apologized later.
But on the other hand i'm really bm for UMS ( especially phantom ) because 90% of the people there are either retarded or bm ( or both ) and i think it is cool to do like them :D You can't be a real phantom player if you aren't bm.
I had a friend mention that he thinks leaving without gg is better then someone saying gg and rage quitting bnet. I think not saying gg is very bad mannered while rage quiting bnet is because your pissed off. This is a competitive game and I do get pissed off and say gg and leave bnet and calm myself down. I don't see anything wrong with that.
I do see making excuse before leaving the game, leaving without gg or bming the other person as stupid things to do.

I do agree with you, reacting like that is bad. But isn't taking SS of that and posting them on the forums to bash him just as bad ?
im not bashing him im showing people what kind of a person he is (on bnet) O_o, and i didnt take those shot with the intent to post them here, i took them because i was reporting him for BM on icc.
i want to make some drama, have some fun, and possibly play a grudge match.
thing is, i get insulted a lot like that on iccup, and most of the time i dont let it bother me, but when they take time to f a me so they can flame me afterwards in the channel i take it kind of personaly.
And i would have to disagree with you, no i do not think that calling someone a fucking nigger cheesing arab is just as bad as posting the screenshots.

I don't think that not saying gg to someone you don't even know on ladders ( mass gaming zombi mode yO ! ) is that bm especially if you don't ask for a re and haven't talked with the guy before. But when you are playing a showmatch (hi-dra) or a friend/guy you know it is quite bm :p
It is still always better than calling him a "sand nigger" though. lol
Wow. He even added you to your friendlist. That's just pathetic. I've been BM'd, but never been added to someones friendlist so that they could keep flaming me.
What a pathetic kid, jesus. I rage after I lose, but I never take it out on my opponent. GG, turn around, throw something at the wall and 3-5 deep breaths.

The entire point to that statement is that if it's your friend and you two are playing casually. I would have my practice partner leave without a GG, then for them to GG and then ragequit and not be seen for a half hour.

Words said by a random person just trying to get a reaction out of the other in a game. There is no need for explanation.

He BMed in the game, and then continued to BM after the game was over. I'd fucking report someone too, especially if I didn't know who they were.
iCCup started their BM reporting section for a reason, for people to use it.
except he reported him then made a blog about it. bm is bad but it's also pretty standard. reporting someone for bm and harassment when there's a total of two lines of each then making a blog about it leaves a bad taste in ones mouth

Well, he made a blog on TL about a frequenter (and quite known person) of TL. It's pretty relevant to let people know of the shit he does when he's on a smurf, I believe.
how the FUCK are people defending jello? He fucking called a guy a nigger / arab unprovoked? I don't give a shit how he lost the game you don't dig as deep as you can to be as offensive as is possible... this guy is a tool. He lost some random ICCUP game with 0 meaning and had the audacity to msg him in the channel AFTER the game to take his shot at another racial slur.
Fuck you for being a prick jello Fuck the people defending this
Cut and dry situation imo... he is a douche end of blog.
I think I know IntoTheAbyss... I don't really quiet remember either I owned him every time or he owned me ever time whenever we played ... or he might have been one of my 2v2's partners.

Exactly.
People who nerd rage on the Internet are pathetic.
my apologies besiger I'd had a string of losses and wasn't too pleased. And yes it was the drops that tipped me over the edge. Generally I'm pretty gm but after a string of cheeses i can get angry :/

LOL i find it funny that the guys name is jello_biafra. Jello biafra is lead singer of dead kennedys and is now a political figure that advocates against racism. But as usual the "punk scene" is full of ignorant hypocrites who are all full of shit.

Jello is usually a cool guy as many people have stated previously in this thread. Everyone makes mistakes, obviously he was just mad and happened to take it out on beseiger.

I'm not at all into the punk scene I just quite liked the band back when I signed up and thought the name was pretty unusual. If I was making my account today I'd choose something different.
I admit my words were ill chosen but they're pretty much standard insults on the internet, and they're really not that offensive unless you think there's something wrong with being black or arabic...
And yeah besiger I'm up for playing some games since my play was so terrible in that one.

By that same logic, using Arab as an insult (and don't try to argue that you didn't mean it that way) implies you think there's something wrong with being an Arab.
If you want to save face, don't bother trying to make ridiculous excuses about these not being real insults or bullshit like that. Just admit you were being a shit-face and move on with life.
On March 04 2009 22:00 jello_biafra wrote: No I used it because it's a commonly used insult, I bet you call people 'faggot' all the time but don't actually have anything against gays.

Yeah, but by your argument, if someone were to take insult to being called a faggot, then it'd mean that they think there's something wrong with gays when in reality, it's perfectly reasonable to be insulted just by the intent. Just because you didn't have any racist intent doesn't mean that it's not a racist insult.
Not really trying to start an argument, I just like pointing out random shit like this

Sand nigger is really nice indeed. :>
"dune coon" is good, too. see russell peter's newest clip (i think).
I can't believe how this turned into manners and what not on something stupid. The guy got a bit frustrated/raged(jello) and just said some random shit over the net and it seems to be getting out of hand. I could care less what anybody says. Most of time if I get beat in less then ten minutes I just leave b/c it was not a gg(cheesed or not). If the game seemed to last longer then 10 mins then I will state gg and go about with my newbness. Only time I BM is when it's a public game but I don't even BM hardcore I just say some stupid bullshit and I am not on b.net but maybe like 3-5 games a week. I can't even recall the last time I BM'ed. This is just dumb and I have no idea why I posted here.
Edit: This shit reminds me of shit like that christian bale thread.
"Sorry" "wait not sorry, those weren't insulting" "oh btw I encounter this all the time and I don't care." "Yeah my words didnt mean anything insulting.. being those races isn't a bad thing." "Oh and be grateful I didn't call him a sand nigger or dune coon."
Fuck off dude. Did you really use the "I get treated this way all the time so it must be ok" logic? What are you, 13 years old? Have the balls to say "Sorry" cause obviously someone was offended (WHICH ISN'T THAT MUCH OF A STRETCH BTW) and leave it at that. Nobody thinks you are a part of the KKK. They (me) just think you are a terrible fucking player who lost a random game and had the audacity to rant and rave about it like you are something of importance. Get a grip for fuck sakes.
I don't normally suggest closing a thread, since it's a moderator's job, but the discussion is pretty much over. Jello apologized, discussion continued, and now an argument is being started. It's not like you can change someone's personality by insulting them in public (i.e. TL).

lol im not saying there is anything wrong with the term arab, obviously you didnt say it in a positive way. You used it in a destructive way which was meant to be an insult. Your justification is fucking retarded, like honestly read what you just wrote lol. If you didn't think they were offensive than you wouldn't use them when you're angry. When you're angry you look for something insulting to say. Anger uncovers the mask that you wear.

If you don't care, then why are you trying to make up excuses? You added him to your friends list even.
And who are you to make presumptions about how I use words? I actually do find homosexual intercourse to be gross. I just conveniently ignore the fact that homosexual friends of mine probably like that stuff. I don't feel I have to like everything about a person to like them as a person. I'm certainly not one of those retards running around the internet claiming to be innately unbiased. If anything, the ones who claim to have no bias are among the most bigoted people on the planet.

apologizing with conventions like "but basically you shouldn't have taken it this bad" or "what I said was kinda fine" isn't a real apology. Sure the OP accepted it but being as how this was made public, this is a public forum; I think we are entitled to an opinion on the matter as well. Hence the discussion.
Darn I had a really good one of these but Chill deleted it because I put it in the strategy forum to flame the OP, which was actually good. If I still had it I'd post it, maybe I will later tonight.

I feel like PM'ing you "nigger" and "arab" for a bit. Then apologizing and hoping that nobody ever mentions it again cause it'd be "over conviction" roflfllflf
"you're" a bit too retarded to be making religious blogs on tl.net.. it gives the rest of us who actually have a faith a bad name.
Oh and slandering the second largest religion on the planet is generally a bad idea. Especially when you try and represent a love based religion yourself.
