I was just surfing the internet this mornig on our beloved youtube. I find something interesting. A game on Andromeda with a lenght of ~87 minutes between Stork and GGPlay
(The video shows only highlights from the game)
WARNING SPOILER
When i finally look at the last attack I was like:"WTF". GGplay swarm his entire base against archon. You could say:"this is a nice move because archon damage will be reduced" but i have to tell to you that GGplay has only Hydralisk in his base... Autosuicide?
***EDIT: I am an idiot. That was stork mindcontrolling delifer. Thanks to nevake for pointing it out****
that game was lol. i remember sitting through the whole thing. and then people said they shouldnt be allowed to play against each other ever again while others said they should play again so that more people can LOL once more.
Actually, if I recall correctly, Stork mind-controlled a drone and then developed Defiler tech.
And yes, that was one of the best and most ridiculous matches I have ever seen. It practically included the entire arsenals of the Protoss and Zerg and was also the first time a Protoss actually used mind-control to develop his own Zerg base.

DS makes all units attacking into it get 100% miss chance, but the units standing inside it shooting out are fine.
It is not true. Splash damage work._.(in some situation )
Splash damage is always dealt inside swarm (archons and tanks pretty much, I think), except against burrowed units. For instance, burrowed lurkers never take damage from tanks when under swarm.
The reason why your Lurkers die to tank splash even under swarm is because the tank is shooting at something else, and while the actual shot doesn't do any damage, the splash does. So ironically, more friendly units under swarm actually increases the odds that they take damage. If you only have a lone lurker, then the tank shouldn't be able to damage it, if I remember correctly. I think it's because swarm actually changes the location of where the shot lands.
Shooting uphill seems to be a bit different though - seems like splash hits regardless of whether or not the actual blast does.
Ranged attacks that hit inside a swarm are moved something like one matrix down. Thus, splashless attacks such as marine and dragoon shots miss and deal no damage. However, a siege tank's splash will still affect a unit inside swarm unless it is burrowed. It seems that burrowing makes the unit size or hitbox a bit smaller or something, I'm not sure. That is why one lurker burrowed under swarm cannot be hit by a siege tank's splash. However, since the attacks are moved down one matrix, a siege tank can still actually hit something in swarm for splash. So the siege tank targeting a lurker above a defiler's attack can hit the defiler with splash damage.
