Then what right do you have to opine upon it? I couldn't locate your point either but the cover art certainly caught your attention which is typically the purpose of it. As for the content, it may have been black humor or satire but you can't know this without viewing the contents. If a person looking for help with stress takes one look at the cover and then hangs their self then they probably did the world a favor. I'm not lunging at Batman with a spear while dressed as Scorpion just because its on the cover of MK vs DC Universe. You can't judge a book by its cover (addendum: nor base your actions upon it).
That's assuming people under extreme stress or under highly emotional situations are logical human beings, which isn't anywhere near the reality. There's a study that shows most people who kill themselves are often acting on impulses whereas people who think it through are less likely to kill themselves.
I see the OP's point, its the equivalent of putting a KKK member on the cover of a book like Understanding Others. There's nothing wrong per say just a poor choice in my opinion on both the cover art and the library. |
