This is more of a personal blog I guess, but it's still esports related so I decided to post it up here. I had a goal when I set out 9 weeks ago to photograph proleague. I really couldn't have believed some of the things I've seen and done since the first match at Yongsan all the way back in April. I'm grateful for all the good (and bad) times I've experienced this season at COEX, LOOX and Yongsan.
I'm also grateful for all the comments here and at the other places my photos have been shared. (So thank you guys - you've kept my motivation high, especially on the IRC channel where I feel I've made some new friends already.)
Anyway, my goal this season was to shoot every team in the proleague - all 12 within the space of 14 weeks (whilst still going to all the weekend Samsung Khan matches.) There have been teams I've managed to shoot many times (Khan, KTF, SKT1.) and some teams I've only shot once (STX, CJ) but now only one team stands between me and realising my goal for 2008's season.
Upon hearing the rumours of them disbanding and then seeing the concrete evidence in the form of articles online and a petition against disassembling the team going round the various venues - I understood that it was now or never. So next Sunday I will (hopefully) be shooting Ace and completing my 'collection' of proteam photos for everyone.
I hope to work hard in the future and bring many more photographs to the various communities (both foreign and Korean.) I promise to try and provide a more balanced coverage of the different teams and give as much of a focus to the big names in esports as I do the rookies.
As well as to begin covering a wider range of esporting events such as Sudden Attack, Kart Rider (again), Counterstrike Online and pretty much anything else anyone has an interest in me photographing.
Thanks for reading and thank you again for your support.
P.S. Boxer had better be there on Sunday -_-;
