I've always opted out because it would fuck my work/school schedule =p
Although Federal Jury might be interesting, that could be a big case. If it wasn't for the fact that you can get stuck there forever for 10$, I think it would be cool to see something like that. |

my dad had jury duty like a week and half ago. he went down at 9am as well i think and sat there for 3-4 hours while they questioned the potential jurors. he never got called to be questioned so he basically just sat there. seems like no matter what jury duty is generally a waste of time and u should try to get out of it , however federal jury may be interesting. |

Do what one of my teachers did, they will ask you if you have any prejudice of the person that is on trial, she had gone to a drunk driver case, she stood up when the judge asked, "does anyone here have any strong prejudiced during this case?". She stood up and said she would would have trouble dealing with drunk drivers because an incident when she was younger (lying btw) and she was allowed to leave right after. Fucking win. |

My dad was once asked if he believed that a policemen could tell a lie. He promptly responded "is that a joke?".
He got dismissed and didn't have to do jury duty

| I wish I could believe in the legal system, so I could rant on about how jury duty really is what keeps the justice machine just, and how trying to dodge jury duty is low. But the system is pretty fucked and I don't know that good jurors would fix it. |
