to spend on anything or towards anything at Best Buy what would it be? The reason I'm asking is because I've built up about $20 in rewards points which are expiring in a little over a week and I have no clue what I could possibly buy.
Laptop cooling stand? HDMI cable? Blanks cd's/dvd's? Something shiny? It's all up in the air at this point. I know that many of us feel like little kids in candy shops while walking around best buy so I come to you with this question: What would you buy with 20 dollars at best buy? Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I actually hadnt thought of this and it's pretty smart. The only thing is that if I get a gift certificate it would end up in some drawer somewhere and in a year I'd still be wondering what the hell I'd want to spend it on. Know what I mean? Good one though. |

| They probably won't allow the gift card, most stores have exceptions on these kind of things. Just put it towards something you actually need, even if it exceeds $20. |

I have $10 from my reward zone thing because I bought my parents a TV
It says I've earned 819 points and that my total rewards is $10 but I have never used it and I don't know how to. I want my 10 fucking dollars but they won't let me have it.

lol I fucking hate best buy with a passion. 3 times now i've had gift cards and had NOTHING to buy with them beacause it's such a ripoff and understocked I can't even spend my FREE money there.
First time I just got some movie with leftover money going to candy.
old movie that you can get for 5$ at walmart or free on internet (even DVD ISO) 13$, plus x5 overpriced candy 7$.
Second, same deal 20-25$ gift card. Ended up getting a power surge bar for 12$ (I think it was). Nothing special, just your average standard power bar. What a fucking rip off. Also, I didn't fucking need one as I had like 4 extra extention cords and power bars already. The rest of the money was probably spent on overpriced candy or some worthless shit too.
Third, this time I actually needed something. TIVO cable, but they didn't have it. LOL, so I got an s-video cable for 22.95$ or something and the tax on it actually made it more than 25 so I ended up paying a few bucks out of pocket. Later I realized that I could use HDMI also and just needed an adapter (HDMi - DVI). So I went back and even the adapter was like 20$. keep in mind that these are 99 cents online. BEST BUY FUCKING BLOWS.

All big stores are terrible on small items, they will rape you for things like cables and adapters because people just don't know any better. Things that go for 2.99 online will be like 39.99 on sale from 59.99 in bestbuy
But they do have a camera lens I want for like $20 cheaper than camera stores, since those too are notorious for marking stuff up. If I still had my $10 gift card that would have been so money. But of course it has to expire since it's not really about saving money it's about enticing you to spend more frequently. |

probably the best use of gift cards is to sell them for 80-90% of their gift value on craigslist or ebay. I still don't understand why they don't just give me money for xmas instead.
Its like saying "Im too lazy to figure out what you need/want so I wasted money on this worthless card which you have to sell for less than I paid to be of any use. Enjoy son" so they basically gave me a chore imo.
