There's something wrong with my Starcraft.
Whenever I try to get on BNet or Iccup (through the multiplayer screen), I get the message that begins with

"B.Net was unable to properly identify your application version. Please uninstall and reinstall the application."

I just reinstalled SC and changed it to no CD format and it happened again. Any suggestions?
To clarify, after reinstalling, I went on BNet and it downloaded the recent patch (1.16.1). It gave me that message after BW restarted after the patch download.

try downloading the patch via the web and install it yourself

I had this problem last year. At first, I thought that Windows Vista was the problem. I didn't uninstall or anything because what I did was I constantly tried to reconnect until I could get to my log-in screen. Now, I don't have any problems. It's really weird. Someone probably knows a solution to this though.

Are you using iccup launcher? Maybe reinstall that too.

i have a feeling that battle.net was unable to validate your application version because you are running an invalid application version (aka you have an illegal copy)

No, I'm legit (for SC). Bought it at the store and everything. Twice in fact.

This happens to me too. I just use iccup launcher to connect to bnet
