I never played it much but its surely one of the greats. It was the first successful MMORPG and shaped the entire genre. We wouldn't have had WoW today if it wasn't for UO. (Don't know if thats a good thing though =P) You can't really call yourself a gamer and not know about UO.

Yep I used to play it. It was great because it was the first MMORPG, so people had no idea what to do. Made it feel real, unlike a game like WoW which is just one big playground.

Agreed. It was threading new ground and it was so exciting being able to play a RPG online together with other people.
