Easy Diablo 2 tip so your chars will never expire!

I found out that Blizzard changed it recently(ish) so that in diablo 2, if your characters expire, they don't actually get deleted until someone takes your name. Even if the character says expired under it, if someone hasnt taken your name, a quick double click will refresh it to the 90 day limit.

So all you need to do is make future character names something very unlikely to be taken, and its as good as permanent!

Yup! Unfortunately most of my old characters were 3 letters long, and they've all been taken. Weak eh? :D

WOW this is really interesting, i had no idea. i remember managing to resurrect and expired character and not being able to do it again later and thinking 'wtf.'

some of mine had clan tags so its unlikely to expire and be taken :D

That's so badass. I was going to play some D2 but didn't want to make some new characters "right" before the ladder reset.

Now can just go in and un-expire my chars !
