Have you tried IE or any other browser for that matter to see if you get the same problem? If you are then something is screwed in your internet browser settings most likely.
Just try restarting your computer once more then see if its happening again. If that doesn't work try reinstaling ff... |

| Windows button+r, type CMD then "ipconfig /all", post that. Also, if you open the "Local connection's" (or whatever it's called in english windows) properties, is it set to recieve automatically or statically set? |

| Well it definately seems like you have a DNS error. I don't really know what more to make of it though, you might have to contact your ISP if that's the case. |

If restarting doesn't help and you're still having a 'time-out' error you should take a look at your Host file
Go to 'run' and type "notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts"
It's how your computer maps IP addresses to host names, check spoiler I guess.

The fact that direct ip works but that domain did not indicates a problem with the DNS. It was probably a temporary glitch with your ISP. If it started working again, all should be well.
I think Teamliquid loaded because the homepage may be stored by your browser through ip (for faster initial loading time). |
