I know this sounds like a topic that deserves to be searched in google but I couldn't find the answer there so I was hoping you guys could help me out >.>
I want to stream my music online so everyone can hear it, but I have no idea how to. I have a huge library of nostalgic VIDYA GAEM music (precisely 1400 songs) I would like to stream for videogame music enthusiasts like myself. However I came to a point where I'm stuck and confused out of my mind
The things I have tried
VLC - I tried using VLC, but whenever I add my music onto playlist it keeps giving me an error along the lines of "This file does not exist" The file does exist as it plays perfectly fine on itunes >.>
Simplify Media - Apparently this allows you to share you library, but what I'm looking for is a streaming thing so this is out
Shoutcast for Winamp - I honestly have no idea how to use this so lol I didn't try
So anyways, is there any other way to stream my songs online that doesn't require downloading 3rd party stuff?

Shoutcast is the simplest but requires that you have a streaming server as well (which costs money).
I dont know anything about streaming in VLC and have never heard of Simplify Media.
Personally I'd recommend you use a livestream.com, put an image up or something, and stream your music on there, using the stereo mixer property of your soundcard. |

This is something I've used before... but unfortunately you need to download something, so it might not be what you're looking for. http://www.vibestreamer.com/ |

| If your adding music (which is on your ipod) from itunes onto VLC, VLC probably won't find the songs. If you have the music somewhere on your computer though, it should be fine. |

livestream aka mogulus? trick is to download into an .mp3 format, either from an mp3 file sharer (like mp3raid) or some other site that lets u download songs.
converting from video to audio shouldnt be a problem either, with onlinevideoconverter to help you there.Last edit: 2010-01-15 14:34:48 |

| Or don't ignore my first reply and google how to use your sound mixer, BAM you can play music from any player onto any sort of stream (stickam, livestream, mogulus, justin.tv, you name it) |

I ignored it because my laptop has a retarded sound card which doesn't have any sound input which doesn't allow me to use programs like Livestream/Fraps to record sound from the computer |
