Shouldn't you guys be going over practice problems beforehand instead of playing BW? ^^
Seriously, though, why didn't you guys have this last year when I was there.
OT: There's a burrito place within walking distance that is amazing... I forget the name of it but you should ask around, it's amazing. |

lol, my team always had a practice beforehand and the coach would be all serious about winning, but everyone knew the real attraction was wandering around town and hanging out with other ARML people. This year it conflicts with commencement activities, so I won't be going this year. |

Math nerds = gamers. It's bound to happen. Walked by smashers once while playing manhunt or something at night. lol. |

Ah cool. Btw, I happened to see your post about Samsung Dt-35. Did you get it working by any chance? I've always wanted to try out that keyboard, but it's so hard to get in the US. Any chance you might be bringing that to ARML? xD |

If someone brings a converter or something, I'll surely use it =)
(BTW, mine's not QSenn version. It's the original DT-35 that were made in South Korea before Samsung changed its name to QSenn) |

and yes I believe it's main campus (the one that's in middle of nowhere... where the football stadium and basketball stadium is) |

I'm from Long Island, and nobody there really takes math seriously, compared to all you guys who go to these elite magnet school. I pretty much stopped doing math recently, which I'd like to think is an explanation for failing spectacularly in HMMT and USAMO.
I spend too much time playing/watching SCII. It would be cool if we could meet up, but it'll be kinda hard. I would tell you to look out for an asian kid with glasses, but that would be half the people there Last edit: 2010-06-01 12:42:25 |

That never narrows it down lol
Look for a kid with deck of cards or playing SC. That should be me (unless I'm playing frisbee with friends near the baseball field) |

AHHHHH DARN I AM MISSING MY SENIOR ARML FOR GRADUATION -____________-
it is pretty disappointing that i am only going for 3/5 years of qualification (plus my team keeps placing at local minima whenever I'm there D
and my only tiebreakers were freshman year while I got the same score last year... except out of 10.
also lol AAST. "let's bring 10 teams to ARML" rofl (but it's good to have so many kids interested!)
@Xeris: ARML is the American Regions Math League, a[n] (inter)national high school team math contest (15 people per team, usually fielded by states or big cities or... crazy schools)
my team (North Carolina) has placed 1st, 4th, 3rd, 7th past 4 years. except we might die this year since I won't be there and there's only gonna be like 5-6 legit people (lol NC only had 5 usamo qualifiers and 9 jmo qualifiers this year :/ but we have a usamo winner freshman so ha)
of course the other problem with me posting in this topic is that NC goes to georgia now, which is 100% lame... penn state was so much better |
