| Hahha, nice blog. Yeah, these types of situations are common. I've heard a ton of Korean stereotypes from my friends and I usually tend to not believe it. Some are scary true though. Most Korea-born Koreans girls that I've met are kinda stuck up and have this princess aura around them. Not saying that I believe it for all Korean girls, but my school is infested with those types. |

Dude korean guys can get equally clingy/crazy. Just sayin - it works both ways.
One of my korean-korean friends had a boyfriend go to some crazy lengths for a gift too - handmade stuff with a couple ring at the end.

thats kind of ridiculous. Definitely a turn-off clearly this girl is fucking insane lol tell your friend to RUN AWAY.
(she's crazy not because its a really nice and thoughtful gift, but because its a first boyfriend and has only gone ~3 months). If my gf of 5 yrs did something like this for me that would be rly awesome and not creepy. This... this is just odd |

| It's definitely a cultural thing. The biggest issue I have with Korean girls is they are very materialistic. Once your relationship develops to a certain point, they expect some name brand things that become very expensive. Of course not every girl is like this, but having a smart, pretty girl who loves you for who you are is like finding a needle in a haystack. |

I think a big part of that is the point that Koreans who've immigrated to the US or Canada often belong to well-off or better-off families, and grew up in such an environment in Korea.
It's doubly true if the school you're talking about is college, and the koreans you're talking about are international students. |

I don't really think this is so weird. Since apparently it's a cultural thing and since it's such an elaborate gift you can be certain she really likes your friend.
Honestly, if my girlfriend did this and I reciprocate her feelings I'd be overjoyed to receive something like this where you know she definitely put in the effort.

I'm not sure if its North or South Korea. But I heard that girls in Korea beating up on guys is a regular occurrence.
